It matched the wagon
It is easy to attach to the wagon
it blocks the sun
easy to clean
There are a Few Drawbacks
While it hasn't happened to us yet I could see how the clamps could break
It takes up lots of room you can disassemble the canopy, but it will still take space to store
While the clamps are easy they do move around personally I would prefer something a little more secure
Final Verdict Certainly worth investigating, especially if you don't think that the drawbacks are too serious. So far it is been a nice addition to our Radio Flyer!
3 1/2 StarsThis is now back on our wishlist, because we cannot afford to replace it. That's right--replace it. It works well, but be very careful that your children do not attempt to apply pressure of any kind to the frame, and as soon as you are done using it, pack it up and stow it away properly.
The clamps break off easily. We lost two of them in 4 months of use, and had to trash the canopy.
The good: when not broken, it does provide shade and shelter to riders. We got a couple good trips to the zoo out of it, one in sun, and one in light rain (daddy doesn't mind getting wet, and the animals are much more active in the cool, so this was particularly useful).

One of the handles that connects the canopy to the wagon has already broke. I'm not sure how it happened, just went out to use it the other day, and it already split in half. It's impossible to use the canopy now, and I've only had it for 2.5 months. So I got online, and ordered a replacement part for it. They shipped new parts out free of charge! I love companies that stand behind their products.Read Best Reviews of Radio Flyer Wagon Canopy Here
I ordered the canopy when it was on sale...thankfully! Because it is nowhere near worth $50+. If you live in an area that's really sunny most of the year, like we do, it will not provide the coverage you need. The sun still finds its way easily into the wagon...the shade didn't seem to provide any coverage. Also, the quality seems somewhat flimsy. The shade pulls tight from each end, so it works well for not drooping. However, the clamps that hold it to the wagon don't seem all that sturdy. Plus, I think a child could easily pull them off. If you want a Radio Flyer that seems to have a higher quality canopy, you may want to consider one of the versions that has one that comes with it that's made to fit in the wagon.Want Radio Flyer Wagon Canopy Discount?
We love our Radio Flyer wagon and have used it for quite some time now for our kids (now nearly 2 and nearly 4). When I saw the canopy could be purchased as an aftermarket accessory I jumped at the opportunity. It does make trips to the zoo or outdoor festivals much more pleasant for the kids. It keeps the sun out of their eyes, reduces UV exposure, and makes the more comfortable. From a usability standpoint, however, I have some complaints. The storage bag that comes with the canopy is quite difficult to use that is, it's hard to break down the canopy and get all of the components to fit nicely into the bag. Although it is doable, it is usually more trouble than it's worth. This is due to the tension on the upright bars and their tendency to "spring" away from where I want them. Of course, this tension is needed to get the canopy to stay up and look good.
The other complaint I have is with the thin red "ribs" that traverse the canopy horizontally. They are made of extremely thin plastic and once exposed to the elements over a period of time ours became brittle and snapped. While the canopy still operates fine without these 2 pieces, it is a bit frustrating to have such cheap componentry.
Overall, I am really pleased with the canopy and would get one again for my wagon. In retrospect, however, I would have gotten the higher end Radio Flyer wagon with the more "built-in" canopy if I could go back in time.
Just wanted to let you know, we received the Pathfinder Wagon and the Canopy described in this post as a gift and we love it - BUT I was attaching the canopy (as I had done a number of times) and clipped on the first one, went to the second, when I heard a BANG and the first clamp broke off and went flying at top speed, into our living room (I was in the entryway). It flew not even two feet past my son's head who was sitting our living room on the floor while I was assembling the canopy. That could have been deadly, as the broken clamp that flew through the air had a metal spike sticking out about 3 inches from the broken spring piece, and thankfully it did not strike my 1 year old son. My son only flinched, but I was shaking. It is a great idea, but the clamp literally cracked in half, and it was installed just fine. Please be careful with the canopy!!
