Brightlings Matchers

Brightlings MatchersI thought this toy was cute and I also thought it would be fun. However, my son has no interest in it at all. This toy still looks cute but those 3 matchers really do not do much at all.

glowing, twirling or chiming? ha ..

glowing? the light comes on for about a couple seconds when the two pieces of yellow are put together.

twirling? the little blue area on the top part of the red piece spin around a cycle.

chiming? only one little sound of chime. one "chime" and that is it.

It will be better if the after effects will last longer than 1 second or 2.

I am very disappointed with this toy. Even though I only paid $3.99 for it, this is the worst toy I ever bought my son along with the LeapFrog Brightlings Dancers which again the three pieces do not do much at all.

I tend to like Leapfrog products so I bought this for my daughter before she was born thinking she'd be able to play with them soon based on the 6-month old age rating. My son was 2 yrs old at the time, but he wasn't able to pull the shapes apart. He wasn't able to get them apart until closer to 3. He did have some interest in them when I pulled them apart for him and he put them back together, but the interest didn't last long. My daughter, now 1, doesn't have much interest in them at all.

Buy Brightlings Matchers Now

At the right stage of development for your child, these are great toys. My son can't get enough. He can take them apart and put them together, but not every time. So they are a challenge for him, but he gets enough positive feedback to keep him interested. Also, he has already started to catch on to the fact that you have to put two pieces together that match.

These won't hold his interest long-term, but they are great for him right now. And at $4 or $5, it's worth it.

I found one of the Brightlings playsets at a yard sale but it didn't have any pieces to it.

These were perfect for the toy and you get what you see. Chunky shapes are easily handled by chubby little hands.
