I have started shopping for Christmas and bought this doll for my granddaughter, who will be 9 mo old at that time. Her parents may choose to wait a few months to give it to her since it is recommended for 12+ mo. I liked this doll because it has brown eyes, which my granddaughter has as well. I like it even better that it is machine washable. Well loved baby dolls get SO dirty! The size of this doll is perfect for a young child. Big enough to handle and small enough that she should fit into the diaper bag when mom has to tote it. The body of the doll is soft, while the head, feet, and hands are plastic. One more big plus, for me, is the box she arrives in will be easy to wrap, something I don't always find with children's toys.

We love this doll, and she named her 'Bessie Rose' and is planing on saving up for one of the collector ones, the one thats got the strawberry bib is at the top of her list. She has 3 18-20 inch dolls, an Australian Girl Doll 'Matilda Jayne', Journey Girl Doll 'Meredith Skye' and an American Girl Doll MAG#39 'Mackenzie Indiana' and loves how she can be a little sister for them. Overall I rate this product a 11/10.

Darling baby doll that smells as nice as she looks and feels. My 18 mo old loves to carry her around, give her hugs and kisses and push her in a stroller. Best investment.
