B. Whacky Ball - Fuschia (Assorted Colors)

My granddaughter is only 13 months old and you should see how she enjoys this toy! At first, she gently used her tiny hand to try to push the balls through the holes. By showing her how to "pop" the balls into the openings by sort of "smacking" them, she was quickly able to succeed every time. Then, I taught her how to use the mallet and I am AMAZED at her hand/eye coordination in the course of less than 15 minutes! Now, she goes "4 for 4" almost every time and she is so proud of herself. We play with this toy for long periods of time and I am usually the one who wants to stop before she does. She is so confident and proud when she "performs" for others by whacking the balls with the mallet and succeeds, and we give her a bit of applause and tell her what a good job she's done. The balls are large enough where a child cannot fit them into his/her mouth and overall, the toy is very durable. She also enjoys watching the balls come down the chute, as well as lining them up on top of each tube before she either pops them with her hand or with the mallet. As a grandmother, this is DEFINITELY one toy I would recommend for many reasons---it is a great confidence-builder, safe, provides quality one-on-one play time, and helps improve even a very young child's dexterity--if you can stand the noise from all the hours of enjoyment your child will have from playing with it! It is a toy I would give to any young child as a gift, with the knowledge it is safe and that they will truly enjoy it. This toy will not stay in the toy box or on a shelf--it will be played with for hours at a time. I rate this product a "10" and hope this review is helpful.

My daughter loves this toy. Before she could push the balls down herself, we gave her golf balls and ping pong balls to use. It is a hit with older and younger toddlers. Recently she got marker stuck in the toy and it was very easy to unscrew and reassemble. I paid much less for this toy at target.

This is hands down one of my best toy purchases in terms of getting and keeping attention over time. I love that it's not electric, no batteries required and even shows cause/effect if you want to throw in an educational advantage.

Continues to be a huge hit. Starting at 9 months and continuing through 2 years, it continues to draw attention. My one year old is enfatuated and will play at length every day. Even older kids who see it will always try it for at least a few times. Very durable, as demonstrated by how often toddlers like to stand on it.
