Taf Toys Toe Time - Infant Car Toy

One of my grandsons was inconsolable in the car and screamed through even the shortest trip. This toy has made him happy and no more crying. It worked so well that I ordered another for my newest grandson.

A great find because, unlike most car toys, it doesn't depend on any specific type of car seat to hook to. This can go in any car and be used with any seat.

This item works well enough though it is smaller than I expected in regard to the size of the foot area, only about 8 inches across maybe. The "lights" aren't really visible...they aren't very bright and there are not many of them like I had hoped...they seem to only be in the foot pad where the baby can't even really see them. The music is a lively little tune that sounds a lot like a cellphone's tune and has made my husband and passengers look for their phones when it sounds. Which is the big problem with this....

It doesn't just play when they baby interacts with it...If you hit a small bump, speed bump, pot hole, rough place in the road, uneven pavement...that makes it play too! So it can run the risk of waking the baby if they are a light sleeper. I tagged it as "it's ok" ( 3 stars) because with my type of car seat this is literally the only option for toys. So it's better than nothing for me but needs improvement.

The toy was somewhat disappointing because when my daughter kicked the footprints, the light was weak and the music was not consistent. I even had trouble getting the music to play just pressing it. It was not very enjoyable for my daughter and I have found other interactive mobile toys she likes better that give her a response every time she acts.

Vacation required two days on the road, which meant the car had to be packed with as many entertainment and/or distractionary devices as possible for the 11-month-old. This is a good one. It provides some sanity to parents trying to entertain a child who doesn't understand why she has to be in this dang car so long!! May come in handy for shorter jaunts as well, but the long trip was the reason for the purchase, and it served its purpose.
