I bought this because my son is going to be in a parade! He's only 5 months old, so I was really hoping the 6-12 month would fit him (doesn't come smaller). Sadly, no-it's HUGE. We're taking up the legs a little, and probably also taking in the seams of the jacket. I would say it definitely tends to the more 12 month range than the 6 month. It's a cute outfit, cuter than the others I've seen out there, so to me it's worth messing with a little to get it to fit. The only thing that concerned me was when I opened the package, there were a lot of loose threads stuck on the jacket. I hope this doesn't mean it will unravel later! I'll update the review if it does.

The seller sent it much sooner than stated so I was very pleased with my experience. I ordered the outfit a bit large since I wasn't sure if it would be smaller after washing but it was actually a tiny bit large for size so I would suggest buying the actual size since it experienced no shrinking. The only issue I had was with the product, NOT the seller, after washing, the red stripping on the hat and sleeves faded quite substantially to a pink. This was not something my husband was ok with our son wearing, so I just bought a red fabric marker and colored in the stripes. :) Other than that, we loved it! It is a very cute costume for the Christmas season and due to the fact that it is made of velvet it makes the costume more rich. It is very good to use for the Christmas photos and family/friends dinners. It is very comfortable to wear but I would suggest to wear your boy thick under vest and tights because the material is not very thick. This elf costume was perfect and made a great photo op for our Christmas cards. Shipping was fast and it fit my son great!
