These blocks are beautifully crafted, heirloom quality, and will last generations. Although expensive, you get what you pay for. Edges are slightly rounded, paint colors are bright and the finish is tough and durable. The patterns and colors engage my 18 month old grand-daughter in gleeful play. The animal theme is of interest to her and she loves playing with the various animal blocks. We name the animals and make the appropriate animal sounds. I purchased all three sets of Zoolino: Mini, Maxi and Zoolino. HABA is one of my favorite brands. I can always count on HABA's quality, beautiful craftsmanship, engaging designs and educational value. would recommend this product.
