These are great keys with some wonderful sound effects... i love the size (a bit bigger than some teething toys but not too big to shove in a diaper bag...downfall: non-replaceable batteries... and the motion activation can set off easily (like when you walk on the floor at night--the pressure of footsteps make them go off). Our 6 month old loves these keys. The toy is entirely plastic and sealed up for safety. My boy chews on the keys, the buttons, the rings, whatever he can get into his mouth. The buttons make sounds, saying things like "beep, beep" and "woohoo!". You can also *easily* turn on and off a function that makes a key shaking sound every time the keys move. This is tons of fun for our boy, and is easy to turn off at night or when he's done playing. These are a great find for our little guy we love them!

Got this for our baby girl. I gave this item 4 stars as the remote has a sound chip which means you should probably not submerge in water or put into a sanitizer.Read Best Reviews of The First Years Shake and Jingle Keys Here
These got great reviews, but my experience was disappointing. There was no way to turn them off (despite instructions to the contrary), which got loud and annoying really quickly. And of course, if you can't turn them off, then they will run out of juice very quickly, which they did. There was no way to change the batteries, so after 1 month, they were essentially useless. Our baby loved playing with these for months and months when she was little, maybe in the 5-12 month range. She is 16 months now and so is on to other things, but still plays with these when being pushed around in her stroller. They are not as realistic as other key sets, but not as annoying either!
