Skip Hop Starfish Stay Put Stacker Bath Toy

Just got this bath toy for my 18month old twins for Christmas. It has been a huge hit! They are really loving stacking these days and it is great that there are two 'poles' (one that floats and one that sticks to the tub). They can move the starfish from one 'pole' to the other and also love putting the starfish on the tub walls. Best thing is that I can take the starfish and stick them up high on the tub wall to get them to look up. Makes for easy shampoo rinsing which has been a huge pain before I got a surefire way to get them to look up!

This toy is great in a lot of ways. Bright colors, good quality foam that doesn't break apart when my teething baby chews on it, and BPA and Pthalate free. All that is awesome. The reason that I knock it down to four stars is that the extender pole that allows you to suction the stack in the bathtub and have it stay in place broke after 2 uses. I don't find it a particularly necessary part, so it only loses 1 star. But really, for a toy in this price range, I expected it to be a little more sturdy.

Oh well, my 7 month old still loves it. And really, she didn't care much for the suction cup pole aspect anyway.

I received the item today and within 5 minutes of opening the package, the item broke. The plastic tip of the post that inserts into the stacker broke off. This makes the suction-cup post unusable. The stacker itself is cute, and it floats without the sunction-cup post, so i'm still considering keeping it. Just disappointed in the quality of the plastic parts hence the low rating.

We love this toy! It has easily replaced all of the other bath toys we have. It is BPA and PVC free (thank you Skip Hop!) which is really important given our daughter's tendency to chomp on everything. Our daughter loves stacking and unstacking the star fish, hiding them in mounds of bubbles, and sticking them to the tub wall. The colors are really vibrant and the star fish are the perfect size and texture for little hands. They are also super easy to wash clean.
