1. When you first get the mattress, you will experience what feels like air loss, however, it is just the mattress stretching out with use. Even if you pump enough air into the the mattress to make it firm, it will become a bit softer by morning during the "break in stage." This is because the mattress is stretching out, and after a couple nights of this, you shouldn't lose any air.
2. If you lose a lot of air in a night, for example, you go from firm to having your body touch the floor through the mattress by morning, or in a couple of hours, it could mean that your air valve is not closed tightly enough. After the first couple uses, you will have to tighten the air valve VERY well. Tighten the valve as much as possible, even when you think it's tight enough. Also, make sure the valve isn't put on crooked when you tighten it, this will let air escape if one side is higher than the other. I made the same mistake of just tightening it and thinking, "well that seems tight enough." Wrong! Air still escapes unless you tighten it fully. For a couple days I found my bed halfway deflated by morning. After inspecting the bed, I found no air leaks or holes. So I thought to myself, "eh, maybe I should just tighten it until it's extremely hard to turn the valve," so I did. I've been making sure to tighten the valve fully, and I no longer experience any air loss between nights. Also, watch out for the pop in cap, it can go in snugly, but that doesn't mean it's pushed in all the way. Even when I turn the valve until it absolutely turn anymore, if I accidentally leave the cap not pushed in all the way, I still lose air. You'll see what I mean if you buy it.
I hope these tips help you. This is a great bed, it doesn't feel cheap, but it has a great price! Oh, and if it helps, I'm a 200 pound dude, so don't worry about being too heavy, you're probably lighter than me. One more thing, this bed doesn't come with a pump, so I suggest you purchase a battery powered or electrical air pump on amazon to come along with it. I forgot about the air pump, so I ended up going to Target. I paid around $26 for the air pump over there, you can probably find one on here for cheaper. My daughter has been sleeping on this in the guest room for 3 months, it must be nice and comfy because she's still here! :) Seriously, she hasn't had to reinflate it at all and says it's quite comfortable. I'm adding a mattress pad and that should make it almost as high-end as a Select Comfort! At the price it is now, you should get one!

I've only used the bed once so far but it was quite comfortable. I was able to sleep on my side, back or tummy, just like my regular bed and the mattress stayed firm. I used my vacuum cleaner to quickly blow it up at home when I was testing it out. To use a vacuum as a pump, just take off the hose and put it on the opposite end. For camping with out an air pump, you can use your portable vacuum cleaner with an attachment for your cigarette lighter. So, for me, a comfortable bed for 20 dollars is a very good value.Update, we used it for ten days straight, no problems. Never lost air, two of us slept well, we didn't roll or anything, perfect!

I've had my airbed for a couple months now, no problems and haven't even had to 'top off' the air. Keep in mind, I bought it to go inside a mattress casing designed for a 'soft side' waterbed. After moving into a 3rd floor apt, I decided not to risk the waterbed and put the airbed inside the mattress instead. It has great support and very comfortable. I have back issues that make a conventional bed impossible to sleep on. This was an ideal alternative. As always, shipping was fast. My only complaint with the bed, is that it is NOT the same size as a full size mattress. It is about 4 inches shorter and narrower. Which means I had to use half of the foam 'frame' inside the mattress casing to make up the difference in the sizing. Had it been the same size as a conventional mattress, it would have fit perfectly in the casing. That was the only thing I was disappointed with. It's sturdy and comfy and I made it work for me.UPDATE-
This mattress lasted until 4/12, when I bought another one, same brand, from a 'big box' store, who will remain nameless, that I have heard, that even if it's the same brand, it will be an inferior product. TRUE! It lasted until last week, when it blew out one of the baffles and had a big hump on one side. So I got about 2 years on the one from Amazon and about 6 months on the last one. Just received the new one AGAIN from Amazon and I'll let you know further down the road how well it last. I hope it holds out for a year, hopefully Intex isn't cutting any corners with Amazon.
Still, it is not a true full size, I'm considering a memory foam mattress to put inside my pillow top casing, if I have this problem later.Part of the description is incorrect: "Product Features...Battery-operated pump". Actually, the mattress comes in a box only just large enough to hold the deflated mattress and a swatch of vinyl repair material. If you don't have an old mattress pump available or even a simple valve attachment to use with a vacuum cleaner, then you will be disappointed. However, if you already have an air pump and the right size connection (~3/4"), this is great deal. Although I had no immediate need for the mattress, I wanted to test it right away in case it needed to be returned for a defect. The first time I inflated it, I failed to notice the dual value design, a screw cap with a stopper inside the cap. It deflated quickly after the first inflation because the screw cap was not fully tightened. (Possibly some of the negative reviews may have been spawned by a similar experience.) With the cap now tight, I re-inflated it and stood it up against the wall. After a day or so it was slightly less rigid, say 3-5%, but still fully functional. After five plus days, there seemed to be no further loss in air. I don't think anyone gives a lifetime guaranty for an air mattress. Vinyl dries out and eventually cracks along a crease when it is folded for storage. OTOH I can't imagine any real savings in the manufacturing process by making a more or less reliable product. Just my opinion, but I'm guessing this is as well put together as one selling for two or three times the price. So I am posting a five star also.
