Smock would be the perfect size for a 4-5 year old. Hangs on my 2 year old. It is nice that is can be put in the wash machine, child friendly paints wash out fine.

It is a very cute smock. My grandchild made a comment about the "pretty colors" as soon we put it on her. It fit well on a petite four year old with some room to grow (not too big). I wanted something that was washable (not plastic), and this fit the bill. Whether we cook or do arts and crafts, I believe this will set the tone and protect clothing. I'm really glad I purchased it.

The smock is cute and seems durable. However it says 12 months and up and should probably read 5 years old and up.

Very cute item, and works well to cover clothes while doing messy activities. I wish they had a few more boy friendly designs though (hint hint).

Our daughter wears her smock at her per-school durning art time. The boys all have blue smocks or ones with cars plastered on them. The girls wear wear the same drab flowers patterns or plain pink smocks. While, I'm sure they'll all grow-up to be lawyers or doctors, when we see our daughter with her standout smock on, with her big smile, you know which kid is going to grow up to by happy, no matter what she chooses to do.

This smock isn't for your kid if she doesn't have a silly dance, smiles when she see the moon, points out every rainbow, willfully color outside the lines, and laughs with reckless abandonment.

We now have a second one we keep at home, she wear it when she eats messy foods. Makes clean up a breeze.

The smock is washed weekly. The colors are holding up better than I expected.
