Lil' Man Eating Shark Child Costume

Rasta Imposta Lil' Man-Eating Shark Children's Costume, 7-10, GrayI ordered this costume two weeks before Halloween. It arrived and when we opened it, it had a strange, awful smell. I put it on my nine year old son, and he complained that it was itchy and caused a rash on his skin. The worst of this is when I contacted the company, they required me to call their customer service number to get a return authorization. I called SIX different times, and stayed on hold for more than 20 minutes each time. I emailed again and they gave me another number. I stayed on hold again. I will NEVER order from Amazon again. Your suppliers do NOT stand behind their merchandise. It should not be this hard to return a defective product. Basically, I have wasted 50+ dollars. We purchased another costume for my son.

My son really wanted this costume for Halloween, so my mother ordered it for him. We didn't realize it did not come with the shoes or anything to hold the "legs" up with. We had to get crafty and cut a swim noodle into 2, stuck some shoes on the ends and it looked good. By the end of the night though, the legs were growing cumbersome for my son so we ended up taking the shoes and noodles off, stuffing the pant legs inside and he was just a land shark. Everyone got a kick out of the costume though, he got lots of laughs and pictures taken of him, so he was happy.

I don't think it's worth it's price, but my son would probably tell you differently!

This was an awesome costume and was perfect for my fifth grade boy to wear at the costume parade at school. It elicited a lot of laughs and strange stares (both were highly entertaining for me!)

BUT while it was great for a short period of time at school, it only made it about a block at night trick-or-treating as my son had to hold his arms up (to be the "legs" hanging out of the shark's mouth) at an awkward angle and his arms quickly tired out. Having shoes on his hands also made it difficult to carry a trick-or-treat bag. We opted for a tote so the handle could go around his arm in stead of a pillowcase which he couldn't hold because of the shoes-on-feet needed for this costume.

So I would say this costume is best suited to an older kid middle school and up and better for a costume party as opposed to trick-or-treating.

The costume is made well,(you supply your own shoes) and will hold up well for repeated uses or handing down to the next man-eating generation.

And it certainly was a hoot!!
