Miyim Organic Plush Storybook Collection - 11" Fred The Monkey

I bought this organic Miyim monkey-11" Fred-as a gift and he is VERY cute. HOWEVER, the description on the Amazon website says made with "certified organic fiber" and "natural unprocessed/unbleached cotton filling" and yet the tag sewn onto the monkey says "Polyester fiber filled". Upon reading the cardboard tag around his neck I see it says ""made with recycled fiber stuffing"...they don't say what KIND of fiber...but it definately isn't cotton fibers. I also just bought Benjamin the 11" frog and the 7" sleeping baby monkey by Miyim and checked to see what they were made with. The baby monkey is stuffed with polyester fiberfill, and the frog is 100% cotton filled. One of the reviewersof Andrew the hippopointed out that her old Andrew was filled with cotton and a newer replacement Andrew was filled with polyester. TOO BAD. Miyim had a unique product. But if they are moving to use cheaper, synthetic products they could at least let the customer know!

I bought this toy for one of my twin girls for her first birthday. She found it early and was kissing him and trying to pull him out of the box. I had it wrapped and she would pick it up out of the pile of gifts and try to unwrap it. I don't know how she knew it was hers, but she loves this toy. She kisses him all the time and won't let him go. That monkey and her are inseparable. I've never seen her like this with any other toy. It's so cute.

cute toy, soft, my 6 month old like to chew on it. I've machine-washed it, some of the threads at the neck have come loose, and i have to re-sew it. but its cute, a little expensive for what it is, but i prefer organic products, and i'll buy other toys from this company

This little guy keeps my baby company in his crib, and now they are good friends. He loves giving his monkey hugs and kisses, and it always makes him smile! He's had it for almost a year, and it's holding up great!

I'm sold! MiYim's adorable organic critters have become the common thread with every gift I've given my friends for their new babies this summer. My husband bought our baby daughter the Andrew the Hippo stuffed animal from the collection when she was in the NICU. It sat in her isolete with her. She's 3.5 months now and loves Andrew. So, we've since given Fred the monkey and Benjamin the frog to two other friends. I can't wait for the next baby to be born to continue to gift the MiYim stuffed animals.
