Good educational value but the "fun" quotient only lasts for so long. Then it's time to put them away till they are "new" again and get them out and let them explore all over again. :) Still recommend them for helping to learn about colors and how to blend colors to make things like orange, green, purple... Different ages will get a different learning value from them so they have longevity. My kids are 5.5 and 2.5 yrs old.
