Baby Spring Float Activity Center with Canopy

Baby Spring Float Activity Center with CanopyWe bought this float 3 summers ago and have really enjoyed it. It has held up well and both kids have really taken to it. In general, I think this is a great product. HOWEVER, we recently put our 26 pound daughter in it for a few minutes and while reaching for a toy in the water, she flipped the float over and was trapped upside down under water. I was standing right beside her and righted the float immediately and she was completely unphased, but it was scary to watch and could have been very dangerous if we weren't right there. As with all flotation devices, you MUST carefully monitor your children constantly. I do now question the upper bounds of the suggested weight limit of 28 pounds as I think this largely contributed to the accident she had. I am now in the market for a Coast Guard approved product for her.

I read a lot of reviews about this product from other users and finally bought it. We went to Orlando and it worked wonderfully. My son weighs less than 15 lbs and as long as enough air is in it, worked great!!! Would definitely recommend it.

I really wanted to find a float for my almost 4 mo old grandson and l bet I looked at a million of them before finally choosing this one. I was worried because most of these baby float things start at 9 mos and he is only 4 mos. But I must tell you, he absolutely LOVES this. He is just as happy as a clam in it and it's mesh seat is very comfortable. Of course you have to stand right there with your baby the whole time they're in the water but you're going to do that anyway. He thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread and cooed and squealed the whole time! It's a great way to get your baby acquainted with the water and have him feel safe and secure. My big boy is a tank so he has the weight and girth to make this work for him but if you have a skinny, tiny or lightweight baby, he or she may not sit as securely in it. The canopy adds a nice shade to protect his bald head from the sun. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to take their infant in the pool and have him be protected from the hot sun. Just keep them in the shallow end and kind of hold onto it but anyone with a brain is going to watch an infant in a pool like a hawk anyway. This is great!

I was concerned about this float ring supporting a 25-30 pound infant, but it did that just fine. It worked perfect in every way, and was easy to deflate and carry inside luggage. Our little grandson adored it and wasn't scared a bit.
