Galt Frog in a Box

We bought this for our son for his first birthday. As you can tell from the other reviews, little ones cannot operate the toy independently. Not only do they have to pull the hinged top all the way back for the frog to spring out, they have to push him all the way in the box until it clicks. A year later, ours is broken and the frog won't jump out at all. Wish we had our money back!

This Frog In The Box is a wonderful variation to an old toy. The frog comes completely out of the toy, is super soft and cute. I have 4 children ranging down from 7 and all of them enjoy playing with it. There is a platform inside that needs to be pushed down all the way in order for the frog to be set for another "pop" out of the box. This is easy to do and my youngest (18mos at the time) had no problem figuring out how to work it on her own. There has been no attempt by the children to put other things inside the box to see how they might fly across the room (not even by the boy) although Daddy has tried, I highly recommend this toy and think it is worth the money.

My 22-month-old daughter's speech therapist has this toy and we love it (so does the therapist!). It is great for working on language(PUSH the inside down, PUT IN the frog, CLOSE the lid, wave BYE BYE, KNOCK on the top to see if the frog is there, PEEK inside, OUT comes the frog!). The frog really JUMPS out of the box a nice reinforcer for the child. This is probably a toy which is best played with an adult and child together, and is lots of fun.

Bark Bark Vac Mitts

It's pretty small. I expected it to be bigger. My two year old has to bend over to operate it. Other than that it is great though. My two year old and my one year old both love it.

So I'm pretty sure that the commercials for this product say "It really vaccums!". Yeah, it doesn't, it's just a toy vaccum. Fun and cute, my son likes to push and pull things around. We got this so he would learn to not be afraid of mommy's vaccum.

Well my son loves to "vacuum" when I do, so I thought this would be a nice idea. He loves dogs so I figured it would go over well. My son is 3 and he's not tall for his age, but this was really short. He still tried it out. I think what he liked the most was the noise the dog made when he stopped vacuuming. The dog whimpers at the end, and my son would make the sound as well. He purposly stopped it all the time to hear that noise. After he heard the noise a few times that would be the end and he'd reach for his ball popper and use that instead. I asked him next time I vacuumed if he wanted to go get the dog, and he would not. So I think it has been used a total of 3 times for 5-7 minutes at a time. Oh well I struck out. I think the design is very cute, maybe better for a younger child? Not sure.

I was disapointed. It said it had an adjustable handle, but it didn't make it much longer. The children had to bend over to use it properly which was awkward. They rarely play with it, but instead use one we bought at the Goodwill which is taller.

Schylling Ugly Doll Jack in the Box

I think the reason why other reviewers are having issues with this not going pop has more to do with the Ugly Doll's ears than the popping mechanism. We haven't had any issues with it going pop when Mom puts the Ugly Doll back in just so. But it doesn't always go pop when Dad or toddler (two-years-old) do it because they tend to cram it in.

Made well and cool alternative to the traditional jack-in-the-box (clowns are creepy!).

One less star because Mom always has to help.

Thought it was cute looking & well made on the outside but every time we turned the handle, music played but it would never pop. The doll was constantly getting stuck. Shame, I will be returning for refund. But thank you to Amazon for making their return process so easy!!! Got give it a couple stars for that.

we gave this to my nephew who is 8 months old and he loved it. He has been lately preoccupied with lights and it was neat that he could play with this one and it was nice that there was a couple of teething toys shaped like keys attached.

My 10 month old son LOVES this toy. He plays with it everyday and it keeps his attention for quite some time. There is actually a lot to do on it with the turning keys and wheel. I say great toy, especially for the price!

This is a very cute baby flashlight. It has 3 multi-colored LED lights that flash after the button on the handle is pulled. Plus, there are little chewing bugs on the bottom ring and the bottom ring clicks when it is spun. The only downside to this toy for us is that it is too hard for our 9 month old to pull the handle down to start the flashing lights. But, he loves it when we do it for him.

We had purchased this toy for our son when he was younger. The reality is this... it lights up just a bit and it has two little toys at the end that a child could teeth with. The downfall of it all is that it is too heavy for a child to carry if they are in the everything in their mouths stage. Pretty boring, heavy and he doesn't touch it.

Stay away unless you child shows a true interest at the toy store.

Little Mommy Doll - African American

My daughter has autism and has had absolutly no interest in dolls. She didn't quite know what she was suppose to do with them or how to do imaginative play with them. We recently purchased this doll for her and she hasn't set her down yet. She pretend cries for the doll and tickles her. She feeds her and won't sleep without her. I think this doll has woken up emotions in my daughter that were not there before. This has taught her to understand empathy and how to care for someone. Autistic children like weighted objects and the beanie bottom of the doll makes her different from the other dolls we have given our daughter. I think the heavyness of the doll makes my daughter want to hold her constantly. Im so greatful that we got this doll and it has had such a wonderful impact on my daughter.

I bought this doll for my now 4 year old daughter when she was 2 years old and first started to become interested in dolls. She still carries it everywhere. I bought this for my son who is three months. He loves it! The bright colors attract his attention, and he loves staring at and talking to his Giraffe. As he gets older, he will be able to pull the legs, arms, and head. I see him using this toy for a long time.

My daughter loves this toy. It is soft and has a friendly face. At this stage she especially enjoys the hoofs they are great to chew and make crinkly noises. The movable legs and neck are hilarious.

Wonderworld Natural Shape Sorter

Normally I really love Wonderworld products but the design on this one doesn't seem very well thought out. If your child puts the shapes in the back of the sorter first, the circle & the "L" shape in the picture, they slide to the front due to the slanted base which then blocks the two front blocks, the triangle & square, from being able to fall through their slots. This results in a very frustrated toddler, who knows she's correctly matched up the shapes to their corresponding slots but can't figure out why they won't fit in. This would not be a problem if the company had either: A. not made the box slanted or B. made the box a bit taller so that all the pieces could fit through their slots even if another shape is underneath where that one needs to go in.

I bought this for my Grandson's 1st birthday and when we took the shaped blocks out of the inside the top fell right through to the bottom. The four pegs holding it up are too short so it does not hold the top up so that a child can try to fit the blocks in the holes. I ordered a second one and the pegs were even shorter so the top part fell right to the bottomn again. Great idea but poor craftsmanship.

My babies loved this from the time I gave it to them. Received it at the baby shower but they got to play with it at about 4-5 months. My twins still love playing with it at nearly 8 months. Keeps them engaged and as they develop they tend to find it more and more interesting. I give it 4 stars because I feel the music is too loud and does not sound soothing in my opinion. There's no way to strap it on to anything. It is heavy and is not flimsy. Overall, very pleased.

My Pal Al Multi Sensory Baby Learning Toy

My son is 4 1/2 months old. I just got this for him a short time ago. For the moment, he's mainly trying to either hug or eat it. He loves it though. He plays with the different sections. He really likes the textures and sounds it makes. I think in another couple of weeks, it'll be even more popular.

My pal Al has become a favorite stuffed toy for our active 6 month old. The colors, sounds and textures keep him interested often for a half hour at a time, and the body is a great size for him to hold. The seams are strong, and the limbs seem secure. My only complaint is that the toy is not more compact. It is very long, which makes it difficult to throw in the diaper bag or bring in the stroller.

WEDGimal Ducks, Shapes 4-Piece Set

These ducks will not hold water inside their bodies therefore there is no need to worry about mold growing. The only problem that I could possibly foresee is that these bath toy ducks have pointy hats on their heads. Although I haven't experienced any problems with them yet, I can foresee my kids flopping around in the tub and eventually sitting on a hard pointy hat, which might bruise soft body parts. Overall, nice sturdy bath toy and bath time is a great time to practice shapes.

I purchased these for their BPA-free status. The reality is that they are close to worthless for a young child, their intended audience, because of the large hard-edged things stuck onto their heads. A small child wants to put everything in his/her mouth. The big, awkward, uncomfortable hat things on the heads of these ducks makes that effectively impossible. They are not good for a small child and I can't imagine that an older child would have any interest in playing with rubber ducks. I recommend that you take your search for a BPAphthalate-free rubber duck elsewhere.

Lovely painting; good quality!I fell the cup accidently in our kitchen; it is still all right.

The blue lid for the cup did not fit at first sight, no matter how hard I tried:( But after dishwasher uppack, it fits well:)

I also found a small dent in the cup and a few tiny black dots against the white background; excluded which this could be a 5 star product!

Wader Sand and Water Mill (Colors May Vary)

I very much like the concept and the construction of this toy. It is rather cute and I could see where this would be a snadbox/beach favorite. I think it is the perfect size for little hands, even though it was smaller than I had anticipated.

I am, however, VERY disappointed in how it came. The face on the big red sun arrived scratched up. I bout this as a gift and now feel the impact is lessened and I will need to compensate.

Elegant Baby Spelling Blocks

These blocks are solid and beautiful, a classic child's toy. But like other blocks made by this company, the edges and corners are sharp, so some parents feel that very young children may injure themselves. Recommended for ages 2 and up for this reason. In the meantime, they make great decorations on a shelf in the baby's room!

Note: "Words" on the blocks include Pirate, Ninja, and the "Elegant Baby" logo but young kids will enjoy the pictures, even if the words are not known to them.

These blocks are cute in a non-traditional way with 'ninja' and other interesting words on the sides however I was very surprised by the number of blocks contained within this set. It was not as many as I was expecting I guess the ones I've seen typically have a block per letter. These have multiple letters on one block so I think you get 16 in the pack. They are cute but I'm not sure they're worth the money. I was going to return them but ended up keeping them because they just kept sitting around our house.

I bought these last year as a Christmas present. After a few months of play, they began to show chips. I don't let my kids play with them that often (1 and 3 yo) because I'm not all that keen on them chipping even further -especially since the toddler likes to bite things. It didn't take much in the way of hard play to get them to chip, either, which makes me wonder at the quality of them. If my kids really got to play with them, then the blocks would have very little paint left on them. They are wood and have a nice weight. The pictures and letters are very cute... just not very durable images for baby blocks. I expected better given the price that was paid for these blocks.

Baby Plush Toy ~ Giraffe

Someone gave my twin girls ONE of these Geoffrey Giraffe dolls for their first birthday. One. It was ok for awhile, but now that they're two, they started fighting over it. So I had to go online to purchase another one.

Guess what? They are discontinued, hard to find and expensive! I think I got the next to last one on Amazon, and paid a small fortune for the darn thing. But my daughters are happy and each cuddles her Geoffrey every night. They are kind of cute. I like the stars for spots. I give it 5 stars because my girls like it enough to fight over. Toys R Us, please make more of these for kids!

Shrek Romper And Headpiece

I thought I was just ordering the headpeice but the entire costume came! It is HILLARIOUS! My 2-year-old nephew looked hysterical waching the Shrek video with the headpeice on. He thinks he is a baby Shrek now.

I was very happy with the quality of this romper. I used it as a halloween costume for my 1 year old, TOO CUTE! He kept the head piece on about half the time, but this is something he can use just to play in for fun until he grows out of it! Buy this, you're kid will be adorable!

My 3 year old loves this costume. The only change I am going to have to make is to cut the bottom of the feet so he can wear shoes. I think this costume may have been meant for younger children but since my child is small for his age it works for him just not the feet part.

This Shrek costume is great quality for the price. It is fairly warm and looks great. I will say that the Shrek face online and even on the package label itself did not match the face on the actual costume. The picture looked much more like Shrek than the real headpiece (perhaps poor quality control). Either way, this combined with the "Shrek Forever After Trick or Treat Pail" made it clear who my little boy was dressed as and everyone loved it. Can't beat this costume for a character that is hard to find in stores anymore.

I was so sad to see that the costume was a bit too small for my 14 month old, 30 lb baby because it was probably the cutest costume I found all season. So even though he didn't wear it, I gave it five stars for how absolutely adorable and unique it was.
