My daughter received this doll as a gift when she was about 4 months old. She is now almost 3 and it is still one of her favorite toys. The doll was purchased from a specialty toy store and looks exactly like the picture. The material is cotton not polyester (as in the other customer review).
I got this because I thought my 7 month old daughter would enjoy the tactile sensation of the tags and fabric. It's kind of expensive for a plush toy but I thought that was because it's an import (from Germany) and also because it would be a superior product. I am disappointed to find out that this is made of 100% polyester. I just don't understand why toy manufacturers make baby toys out of polyester. There was no mention of this in the description. So unfortunately I will be returning this for a refund. If you don't have a problem with the fiber content I'm sure it's a fine toy for your child. I can't bear the thought of giving it to my baby so 2 stars it is.
