My almost 2 grandson loves merry go rounds and music and lights and thought hed really love this. He adored riding over and over again The Small World ride at Disneyworld---so I thought this gift would be great----it lights up when you push the top,and plays very guickly music---(old time songs not ones that kids today would recognize) the horses move around but figures on horses are stationary--all it just does is move and you have to keep plunging the top to make it spin---if the little people came out would be nice.If you could adjust the speed of horses,would be nice--eats batteries. Held attention span for a few minutes--not educational at all,Save your money for a more "hands on toy" It is colorful and safe,though.Eileen
