Anything made with care and with beautiful wood like this is great for babies and children. I absolutely love this product, and I love this company. I would, though, take care to hold the baby up when playing with this toy if the baby is still wobbly. There is a hard piece of wood coming through the center that, if landed on, might hurt the baby's mouth or eyes. My recommendation: PURCHASE, FOR SELF AND AS GIFTS.

We love this toy. It has multicolored wood and is great for a Montessori or Waldorf environment! You need to wash it with soap first.
