Another issue is that we have yet to make the cow respond on cue with the DVD as it always seems "just off" from the DVD.
The DVD is developmentally appropriate for the children as stated. But the manufacturers explanation of the toy was over-exaggerated. If you buy it, just beware of how it really works so you won't be disappointed hearing the same responses every time you play the DVD. As stated previously, know that you cannot pause the DVD and keep the cow in synch. You must play the DVD from start to finish. From a child's standpoint, I'm sure it'll eventually be a hit and that is what really matters. After all, it is to entertain and enhance the video watching experience for a baby, not for an adult.
Great potential, but just not there yet. Would I buy it knowing what I know now? Probably not, but my 12 month old hasn't discovered it yet. My opinion may change once she notices the DVD and cow "talking" together. Meanwhile, my 4 year old is enjoying the cow she has named Clara Bell and thinks it is worthy of being on her Christmas list.My daughter received this toy as a birthday present for her 1st B-Day. She loves it. The video is very educational. My daughter actually knows all the songs and dances every time she hears the music. It teaches the kids lots of things, like waiving Hello and Bye Bye and playing Hide-n-Seek. I would recommend this toy for every child.I have a two year old and she loves this toy. She drags it everywhere and she dances, sings, and plays right along with it. I would recommend it to anyone with children. Sometimes it is hard to configure to your TV but I founf all you have to do is turn the volume up louder until it configures and after it does just turn it back down and your good to go!

We purchased the Cow for my 1 1/2 year old son for Christmas and he absolutely loves it!!! He wants to watch it every night before bed. He picks up the stuffed cow and says "Moo-Moo" and puts it in front of the TV to synch it. The songs are great and he has learned many new words from playing along. It also came with a CD for the car which my son loves to listen to. I found that I have to sometimes turn the volume of the TV up to synch it and then lower it when the video starts. Also, occasionally if my son shakes the cow too hard it will lose its synchronization. I highly recommend this toy and it has kept my son's attention for the last three months.Want Tiny LoveDVD MagIQ Discount?
The previous reviewer who doesn't like this product is correct in his comments about the "interaction" of the doll. But since I had used the demo toy in the store, I was well aware of the capabilities of it when I purchased it. I think the interaction is plenty good for a child... maybe not for a techno-teen or adult, but great for the audience for which it is made.We got the toy when my daughter was 10 1/2 months old. she is now 13 months and she loves it as much (probably more) now than when we first got it. she asks for it almost every day.
the animals are SO darn cute and cuddly and soft (we have both the sheep and the cow). excellent quality. so loveable. both my 13 month old and my 4 1/2 year old love to hold them. plus, they have a little belly button that can be activated in absence of any CD or DVD. so you can just play with the animal alone. you press the belly button and it sings or says a phrase. just too cute.
I got my daughter the cow (12-36 months) but she loved it so much that I simply had to get the sheep. even though the sheep one is for 3-12 months, it is just fine. she will continue to enjoy watching the younger version for months if not years. even my 4 year old likes to watch.
they only have one DVD per doll now, but they are coming out with accessories soon (sept or oct I think) so that each doll can have more than one associated DVD. you can bet we will be getting them.
she claps and bounces with the songs. she waves. she laughs. she is really interested the whole time. there are a surprising number of concepts covered in each DVD. but not an overwhelming amount. it seems that whoever developed the video really knows what they are doing as far as introducing concepts that are perfect for this age level (wobbler) yet will still be appropriate as she grows to a toddler.
oh, forgot to mention... there is a bonus CD you can take in the car with some of the same familiar songs from the video and some new ones. my daughter loves the CD, too!
last comment... I am not sure what the previous reviewer is referring to when talking about the broken CD or DVD or the interference of other noises in the room. we have experienced none of that.
