I wish I could port flutterflies everywhere with me. They currently hang over the crib and every diaper change and nap time they keep the babe's attention without overstimulation. He noticed them as early as 2 weeks and was transfixed from the beginning. The underbellies of the flutterflies have contrasting dots or stripes.I wanted a simple mobile without music, lights, or large fluffy animals. This simple wooden mobile fit the bill and has been a hit. The only con is that they do stop on their own after a few minutes. No electronic parts means no setting the mobile for 10-20 minutes. So, if you leave baby awake underneath the fun will run out.

If you want something basic that doesn't play music, make noise, etc. This is really great.This mobile is really well made and very cute. My baby is only 2 months old and she loves gazing up at it while she laying in her crib. It makes her giggle and smile to see the little flutterflies move. The only complaint is that it is just on fishing wire so it doesn't self propel. I find myself having to go back in repeatedly to twirl it to keep her attention.
