Tolo Toys Crazy Eyed Bird

I purchased this toy for my one year old because of its appearance and we have another toy by Tolo that is wonderful. This bird is very funny looking that is undeniable. Each eye rotates independently so it can make silly faces, his neck and feet rotate making clicking sounds, and if his wings are squeezed they squeak a quiet pleasant squeak. However, there is a draw back, the eyes are painted with paint that scratches easily. My son scratched the eyes up in one day by teething on the bird's head. A teething toy should withstand teething.

Amazon sent me a second bird and the second one scratched just as quickly so it is not just bad luck.

I gave one star because the bird's eyes chipped. This is just not worth the gamble that there may be toxins in the paint. I would not recommend this toy to others. Very disappointing!

Bought this as a gift for an 8-month old. He loves how the head turns all the way around and makes sounds. Seems to keep him entertained and he loves to slobber on it.
