Madame Alexander, My First Baby Kiss Me, Sweet Baby Nursery Collection - 12"

Madame Alexander, My First Baby Kiss Me, Sweet Baby Nursery Collection - 12'I bought this for my Izzy for her birthday in September. She has not seen it yet but it is a beautiful doll. I really liked the face and the detail on the hands and feet even though they are cloth. I also liked the smaller size for someone who will only be 12 months old. Its hard to find this nice of a doll for someone that young.

I bought this beautiful baby-girl doll for our own precious baby girl, Melissa, who is my first great-great grandchild. I fell in love with that sweet face because it is so much like Melissa's! And who could resist such a little charmer all dressed in girly pink?

I haven't seen this doll yet because they live too far away from me, but I can't wait to see a photo of Melissa playing with her very own "baby." You bet I will post it on customer images; that will be a great shot!

Melissa's mother Ashley called me to tell me how much she enjoyed this for her first birthday; she said she scooted around the party, dragging this doll and never once letting go. Needless to say, that warmed my heart.

Ashley also liked Madame Alexander, My First Baby Kiss Me, Sweet Baby Nursery Collection 12" because the 12" size is the right size for Melissa and the soft body and velour hands and feet are comfortable to the touch. Although looks are secondary when choosing a doll for an infant, Ashley said everyone gushed over how cute it was in it's pink polka-dot outfit.

Another big plus is that it's a Madame Alexander doll, a designer who is known for the beauty and quality of her dolls; a trusted name. But my true reward is in knowing Melissa is enjoying my gift. As I said, I can't wait to get that picture!

I have trusted Mme. Alexander dolls since I was a child, and ordered this doll for my Great-Granddaughter for her birthday, relying on that trust. I was not disappointed! This doll is adorable and made perfectly for a "First Doll". She has soft hands, so as to not poke Baby's eyes and a soft body and legs that are perfect for cuddling! Baby carries this doll and tries to wrap her in a small blanket and hugs her...it's adorable! I looked at dolls in stores and could not find one that met my standards...then went to Amazon for the answer and found it! Next time I'll start with Amazon!

I received excellent service and a perfect doll!

I got this for my 1 year old's birthday. She really loves this doll and sleeps with it every night. It is smaller than I thought, but it's very pretty. My only complaint is there are 3 very thick velcro strips between the legs to keep the pajamas on and it gets skewed becoming scratchy. But, it's still a very nice, soft doll and I'm happy with my purchase.

This doll is super cute and there are so many great things about it.

The Great:

* totally washable

* the clothes and hat can be removed to put new outfits on

* the face is sweet and not scary.. even with the hat off like some other dolls I have seen

* the hands are so soft that I feel totally comfortable with my 15 month old sleeping with this doll

* velcro holds the clothes on not small (choke-able) buttons

* mouth is alittle open which makes it great for play feeding bottles and such

There is nothing bad to say about this doll. I read all the specs about this doll and knew it was 12" but when I got it, the size did surprise me anyways. It is small... all 12" seem larger on paper than in real life. Would I trade it for a larger one that didn't have any one of the great things about this doll... no way.... so small yes... perfect for a toddler... absolutely!!!!!
