When I originally purchased this online I was mistaken about how the toy actually works. Based on the description and the photos, I thought that when you push the top part down that actually causes the toy to movesimilar to how a pull back car functions or some of the other toys that react when you push them down. This does not work that way. I am not actually sure what purpose it serves when you push it down or pull it up.

When it is pulled up however, it will roll. The intention of the purple sliders it to move/spin as the toy rolls. They slide *once* then pretty much stay put. As far as the yellow batting bar, it kept my daughters attention for all of 1 minute. I have tried taking this toy out several times and she is not interested in it longer than a minute. The music and sounds attract her but once she picks it up and gives it a look over, she's done with it.

I will add that she is not picky! She plays with many of her toys over and over again, and will play independently for a long time happily. I had already recycled the packing and was not sure if it would be worth the hassle to return it online otherwise I would have returned it. I do know that baby's interests change often, so maybe something will change, but she will be walking soon!
