Constructive Eating Construction Plate

Bought this for my 2-year-old son and his brother (4) and sisters (6 and 7) always want to eat with the plate, too. The matching utensils are a must to complete the effect. All of the dividers in the plate allow him to get his food on his utensil without sliding over the side of the plate (this keeps him from giving up on the utensils and just eating it via fingers). The rubber on the bottom does an excellent job keeping the plate from sliding around on the table.

This thing is just poorly laid out. The spoon will not stay on the plate. The fork does stay on the plate but takes up too much space the could otherwise be used for food. I'm thinking it should be square or rectangular to make better use of the shapes of the tool. Also, some play testing would have given a better product.

Do yourself a favor and just buy the utensils. Skip the plate.

My nephews are not into eating. They are 3 and haven't found anything they really love. I bought this and the placemat and the fork and spoon. They love them but it hasn't help in food selection. I will keep trying.
