Sassy Earth Brights Wooden Mushroom Clutch Rattle

While the product we received is not as pictured (as mentioned by other reviewers), and the "rattling" pieces don't slide around the entire ring, they do rattle and the red felt piece "crinkles" but apparently I missed the bit about the vanilla scent. You would think a toy claiming to be "natural" would rely on natural essences for a scent. It is obviously synthetic and not only do I detest the chemical smell, my baby crinkles his nose and turns his head away from it. I cut the scented piece off.

The featured photo of this rattle is not exactly the same as the product I received. It is similar, but the main wooden ring on the item I received isn't near as thin as in the picture, so the rattling wooden pieces can't slide around the ring, making it not as entertaining as it could be for a baby. The brown piece is also bigger and doesn't have the sassy logo on it. My 6 month old does likes to suck on the blue cordory piece scented like vanilla, and it keeps him occupied for a while. I generally like the Sassy Earth Brights series of clutch toys, but this one just wasn't what I expected.

The rattle that we have, like other reviewers, is different, the round, light wood is smaller and the dark wood piece is larger. It is a fun toy and I like the vanilla scent, and there are also many textures and colors. Plus no obnoxious noises or blinking lights!!

This one is the least interesting of the bunch. Like other reviewers mine is not exactly like the one pictured (bought in store). My son still will play with it but it doesn't hold his interest as much as the other sassy earth bright toys.

My 6 week old has loved this toy since he was 4 weeks old. His little face gets so excited every time he smells the vanilla. The crackly noise is a lot of fun too. Highly recommended.
