Jellycat Bashful Monkey 12"

Bought this toy back in September 2010 for my little one. Actually he cried to the point where I couldn't resist and just gave in and purchased it. I paid $16.99 at the Gap and even though I have found it cheaper on other sites, I would've paid double for it. This Monkey is soft and cuddly. Monkey, as we call him, goes everywhere. In the car, to the grocery store, to bed. It's cute and my son (who just turned one) absolutely loves him. It is our favorite toy. He'll 'talk' and babble morning, noon, and night.

The only regret is that I didn't purchase two of them, one as a back up. I'm currently searching for a 'stand in' if by chance Monkey somehow gets misplaced. I'll wait til it comes back in stock and I will buy at least one of these.

The toy is a true joy to have around. No bells, no whistles, no batteries required. And the best part, I've washed him several times on the gentle cycle and put him in the dryer on gentle and he always comes out nice just like the day we bought him.

A friend gave my son this monkey (hers was purchased from the Gap) when he was about 7 months old. He now is a little over a year old and loves this monkey. So much that I am afraid how he will cope if we ever lose it or it gets destroyed, so I bought another here to ensure that he will always have his favorite monkey. It is the perfect size for his little arms to wrap around. When I put him in his crib at night, he reaches for his monkey and rolls over to go to sleep. When I get him in the morning, he is standing in his crib holding the monkey. It is soft and durable, and very cute. My son isn't addicted to a binky or blanket, but he is to this!

My sister got this for my granddaughter when she was 4 months old she also bought the dog for my great granddaughter. They are much loved and are just the right size for little hands. Their legs and arms are easy to use to drag around the house or even suck on.....I have bought both of these Jellycat animals again; not becuse they fell apart or because of a defect, but because they are so much loved by both girls (they are 15 months now) that we panic if we cannot find one or if it is in the washer and not available for nap time.

Not sure what to expect so I was pleasantly surprised. The monkey is cute and very soft. My kids love it. Quality seems to be above average. I would recommend it.

I have a few of these Jellycat bashful 12" stuff toys. I think the best are this monkey and the woodland bunny. This monkey is nice because the fur on the face is shorter, creating the feel of a different texture. The woodland bunny has a nice color to it and also for some reason, Jellycat bunnies are made cuter than other Jellycat animals.
