Bunnies by the Bay Sweet Hops Rattle

Bought this for my baby girl because I wanted something that was soft and cute. I remember the days when rattles were so hard you were afraid to give them to your kids for fear of them hurting themselves. I decided to go with Bunnies by the Bay because not only do I love Bunnies by the Bay items but they support a good cause and their products are generally well made.

This rattle is on the small side (6") but is perfect for a baby. It's also very soft and the bunny can be easily held from any angle. This is also machine washable so it can be cleaned with no problem when dirty. After all no one wants their baby putting a dirty toy in their mouth.

I definitely recommend this for any mom looking for a soft baby rattle.

The product description says "Machine wash and tumble dry low heat" as does Bunnies by the Bay's website for this product. The tag on the actual product says "surface washable". Almost all stuffed animals are surface washable. It is lightweight, super soft, and doesn't seem to have long enough ears to be a choking hazard.

Edit: I received this response from the company regarding laundry care.

"you can put the rattle in a delicates bag and wash in the washer in cold on the gentle cycle, I would also air dry the rattle"

My youngest granddaughter is about 9 months old now. She wasn't breathing when she was born, and suffered profound brain damage by the time she was put on a ventilator. This is small enough that she can make it rattle with slight hand movements.
