It's very cute, easy to assemble, but not entirely true that it's made in Peru. Parts are made in India, Peru, and the wooden arch is made in China. I was disappointed as I was trying to avoid this.

This is an adorable play gym, but for the price, I was a little disappointed in the condition it arrived in. The gym was in in multiple pieces, which was to be expected, but was packaged in a far too big box. The only thing protecting the individual pieces of the gym from bumping into/scratching each other was a thin plastic sleeve. They could have added some ecofriendly packing paper to keep the pieces from bouncing around. Also, some of the edges are a little unfinished/rough. I don't expect it to be bad enough to cause splinters, but for the price, you really think you'd get a more finished/better packed product.

Rio 9" Blue Macaw Stuffed Toy Plush Doll - Blu

My son LOVES everything RIO so I was thrilled to find a stuffed toy...even though it was $17 some bucks. As soon as I opened the box, the poor quality was evident. The wings and eyes weren't symmetrical...one wing was actually quite larger than the other. But I figured he's a kid and he won't care. Then, I noticed the poor stitching up the back...I hoped it was just cosmetic again and cut the tags and gave it to him. Within two days of snuggling, threads are coming out and there's actually a hole in the back. So sad...not sure what to do. Also, I realize this might not be a big deal to some, but the toy really looks nothing like Blue or Jewel. The photo is deceptive with the eyes and smiling, hooked beak... :o/ I hope there's a better stuffed out there!

I ordered this for my almost-two-year old daughter, who's absolutely obsessed with the movie. I don't think she even recognized the toy as being Blu and really, its eyes are rather crazy-looking, you can't move the wings and the feet are flimsy, I can't blame her. For $16-$17, I expected it to look a lot more like Blu. She doesn't even go near it.

These are excellent. They are great for newborns. My kids are 2 and still enjoy pulling them apart and making long chains. Great for traveling too, especially in the car. One of my little ones has a weakness on one side and her therapist uses these to build strength as well.

My children and I volunteer at an equine therapy riding stable. We use the beads to help the children practice fine and gross motor skills.

This book is perfect for my infant. We wanted to start out with our child loving books and this was the perfect start. This book is very soft, the pages are cloth and not paper based. There is no possibility of getting poked by a hard surface. Each page is colourful full of bright colors (mostly greens, blues and yellows) and catches our babies attention each time. The pages are composed of the following:

My 6 month old loves this!!!! We've had this since she was about 5 months old and she has loved it since the first time I read it to her. The colors are VERY vivid and vibrant and she has never lost interest. There are 5 different items that are textured or crinkle. It's even gotten to the point where when we sit down to read it, she starts getting excited; legs kicking, high pitched shrieks and babbling...bottom line, she adores this book and I would TOTALLY purchase it again!!!!!

I bought this because I had another book by Soft Play and I'm obsessed with the colors and design of the Fisher Price Precious Planet line. My baby is two months old and she gets excited when I read this book to her. The colors are bright and beautiful and the story/poem is very cute. There is an oddly placed rattle; I can't figure out why it's on a page about penguins and fish, but she likes it. There are some crinkle pieces to lift as well. She smiles when I read it to her, so I would say this was a great purchase!

Lamaze Early Development Toy, Marina the Mermaid

It was given to me as a present and my 4 months old absolutely LOVED it. But soon I started to notice plastic fibers thinner than hair coming out of it (the stuffing I guess). It was very disappointing since I had read that lamaze is one of the few companies that have high quality products, non toxic, PVC free, lead free, etc. They should care also about what is inside the toys or use an exterior fabric with smaller pores!

I received this as a gift from a friend and my infant liked it so much I chose to buy it for my niece as well. It is a good, durable toy that has many different facets that engage children. My daughter loves the shiny, crinkly mermaid tail, while my neice loves the mermaid's floppy hair. The clip allowed me to attach it to my daughter's carseat, and my sister attached her's to an umbrella stroller. When it gets dirty I just throw it in the wash. Great toy!

Very safe for younger children is the best thing about this toy! As a child development specialist, this is the first thing I look for. I was looking for toys to have at my house for grandchildren that were safe and had some learning value. This toy works. Most of the Dr. Kits are for 3 and up, but really you need that type pretend play when they are younger and more fearful of routine Dr visits. This kit was safe for my 15 month old, but enjoyed by my 3 1/2 year old. The toys are safe for younger children, but look enough like real tools for them to be able to associate it with the real Dr.'s tool. I was not sure about the 'pager', but you will be glad the buttons are hard to press, because it is noisy, hopefully they figure out how to push it when they can understand quiet time! The box is large, but it allows you to add a white shirt (Dr. Coat,)empty band aid box, etc. as they get older for more imaginative play. I wish all toys with pieces came in a reusable storage container!

When I asked my daughter about her recent Dr. visit with the 18 month old, she said it was great, she thought the Dr. play with the kit was helpful. Did not seem as fearful.

I plan to order 2 more for Christmas gifts.

"B. Doctor" is constructed and finished well. There are no rough edges that could cut tender skin and no itty-bitty copmponents that might accidentally get put somewhere they should not have gone.

"B. Doctor" is definitly a 5-star toy. However, you should be aware that the price fluctuates greatly; I have seen it on Amazon from as low as $21+ to somewhere in the $30 range. My daughter got her son's "B. Doctor" at the red bullseye store for $22, so be sure to shop around for the best price.

As a grandma, I purchased the B. Doctor Kit for my home so that the grandkids could play with it. They equally all love playing with it! The case is a bit bigger than it needs to be, but you can add items to it, such as play scrubs. The beeper is really cool and works just fine...but you have to teach the child to hold the buttons down for them to work. Once they understand that, it is no problem for them. I highly recommend this kit.

I much prefer the B. Doctor Kit to the Fisher-Price Dr Kit. My own children had that years ago and I really loved it. But now, unless you have a girl and can buy the pink set, it comes in a material tote with a simple velcro closure and the tools fall out, and there are no where near the items that there used to be in it.

I bought this for my 2 year old son after a trip to the doctor, thinking it would be fun for him to play with replicas of the same items the doctor used that day. This seemed like a nice, basic, kit. But we were terribly disappointed. For starters, the case is enormous much too large to be easily portable, and much larger than necessary for the few items that come inside of it. It's awkward and takes up too much space (plus, it doesn't even look like a doctor's medical bag!). The top is difficult to open my son can't do it himself. But worst of all was the quality and design of the items inside the case... All were made of super cheap, light, poorly molded plastic. The syringe fell apart within about 2 minutes of taking it out of the box (the plunger isn't connected to the rest of it, and promptly fell out and got lost). The stethoscope ear pieces are way too large to fit in any child's ear or any adult's ear for that matter. So uncomfortable, my son couldn't bear to use them for more than about 30 seconds. And the stethoscope isn't even a "real" working device that can pick up a heartbeat, like all the other toy kits have... the end is simply a cheap machine that makes fake "heartbeat" noises (which sound like static) when you push a button. How disappointing! The thermometer also looks/operates nothing like a real thermometer it's quite strangely designed. I returned this kit the day after buying it, and bought one by another manufacturer that was infinitely better...

The case and items inside are designed so awkwardly that a child won't find them fun or even be able to open the box. The toys inside are difficult to manipulate, the parts that move are sticky or just didn't fit right. The case is such a strange design, I don't know why there is a graphic on top that looks like a homeless person's scarf, and the box has flimsy plastic windows on the sides that will surely break in 1 or 2 uses. We sent it back as soon as we got it. Really junk.

UPDATE:

We bought the Fisher Price Medical kit for substantially less than this one, and it is exactly what we expected for our little one.

Alex Jr. Mix 'N Max Loopy Loo Teether Toy

My 6 month old granddaughter loves this colorful teether. It is easy to grab and to hold. There are several different textures to the teether. She will gnaw on the flexible, rings which are very soft for tender gums. At other times she will chew on the straight sections that are harder than the rings, but still have a cushioned feel to them. The nubby balls are extremely hard but she will put them in her mouth and gnaw on them. She cut her first two teeth at 4 1/2 months and chewing seems to give her some relief from her itching gums. Even after she finishes teething I think this toy will be enjoyable the way it can be manipulated in different ways.

My baby loves it, so beautiful and colorful, it help a lot for the teeth. Soft and beautiful toy. Regards,

This toy is a dissapointment. Our 8m. old boy is not interested in it at all. He received it along with some less sophisticated and more affordable toys and he doesn't pay any attention to it. It is not easy for a baby to twist, doesn't produce any sound when finally twisted, doesn't expand and leaves you bored. Toddler Wonder Woman

Bought this costume last year for Halloween. My daughter was 2 yrs and 2mos old so I bought her the toddler size. Had to return it for a 3t/4t and it was still MUCH too small! She is an average sized girl. The dress was WAY short. I had to dig around for some bloomer to cover her bum! The "boots" are ridiculous! They are about 3 times too long and equally too wide. They have no stretch and do not stay up. I had to sew them practically half the size and they still didn't stay up! The picture shown with this costume does not represent it accurately AT ALL! It's a cute costume and fairly well made but if it doesn't fit none of that matters. We were very disappointed.

This costume is great for toddlers. I'd put the size at about a 2T. It's well made for a costume.

This is a mini dress and it doesn't have a bodysuit and underwear/diapers are visible if the child bends over or runs around in it. You may need to get some bottoms to complete it. The stitching is well done and firm. The costume washes well. I put it on delicate wash and hung it to dry. After it was dry, I put it in the dryer on a refresh cycle for about 10 minutes to remove wrinkles. (There weren't many.) Most messes wipe easily off of it.

I'm not a big fan of the legging/shoe covers as they tended to slide down and weren't as consistent with the sizing of the dress, but were perhaps made for a slightly bigger child than the dress was. There is no bottom to them, but just an elastic strip to hold them in place under the child's shoe.

The arm bands slip on and the headband has an elastic band around it to hold it in place. My concern with that is that my daughter pulls it down around her neck to wear as a necklace and I worry about choking if it gets caught. The belt is sewn on and doesn't come off or move around. The cape attaches to the dress with velcro. It stays on fairly well even when the child is running around.

All in all, it's very cute and well-made. I'd definitely recommend it!

I opened the box and my daughter was so excited. She put it right on. She is 2 yrs and 3 mnths. It is a little big but she will grow into it. I have noticed that a lot of costumes that she has, she wears them around the house a lot too so it will definitely be good use as a Halloween costume and lots of daytime fun! The boots are a little big but I can fix them and yes I will have to put on a pair of bloomers to cover but then again she always wears bloomers with dresses, that does not seem like a big deal.

The costume is very bright colored shiny material and very cute! The skirt flares out a little so my daughter is having fun going in circles like the original WW did when she turned into and out of WW. She didn't care much about the boots, she just loves the bracelets and the dress and played with it for a while before having to put it away. Definitely worth it. Her smile is priceless!

My daughter wanted to be Wonder Woman for Halloween, so I ordered this costume for her. She put it on as soon as we got it and began running around the house pretending to be Wonder Woman. Her imagination is running wild. She loves that it's shiny and, unlike other reviewers, the blue shine has not come off yet. She's worn it every day for the last 4 days. It is a little short for an average sized 3 1/2 year-old, so my mother-in-law is going to make some matching undies. I think if we had gotten the girl size instead of the toddler size, it would've been much too large. Now, the boot covers ARE very large and they do keep on falling to her ankles, but they don't seem to bother her. She's too busy saving the world from bad guys.

Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Learning Vacuum Cleaner

I like most of Fisher Price's Laugh and Learn products so I was very disappointed with this vacuum. I have similar complaints as the previous review:

1) The height of the vacuum is VERY short. My daughter is 20 months and on the short side. She almost has to bend over to use it already. I don't know how they market this for up to 3 years of age. It would definitely be too small for a 3 year old.

2) The big purple wheels in the back turn but there is this plastic molding that is in the shape of a wheel underneath the vacuum cleaner that doesn't turn at all. It just drags on the ground. So this would be ok if you use it on carpeting but on hardwood floor, it almost scrapes up the ground. I don't understand by they didn't make this front "wheel" actually spin too.

3) The vacuum doesn't stay upright! It's a pain to store because I have to prop it up with something. If i don't, it just lays on the ground and takes up a lot of space. Everytime my daughter is playing with it, she has to bend all the way to the floor to get to the handle.

4) There aren't many features to this at all. The only features are the on/off switch and the wheels/front part that spin and make music. There is this red knob and green spinning ball that do nothing at all.

5) I don't know why this is called "Laugh and LEARN". There is really no learning. They sing the alphabet so fast that I can barely keep up, let alone a 2 year old.

I haven't looked into any other toy vacuum cleaners but for the price of this, I would have expected it to do a lot more and have better features.

My husband and I, bought this vacuum cleaner for my nephew for his 1st birthday. He loved it and still loves it at 2 years of age. Whenever, I bring my son over who is the same age, the two of them always fight for this vacuum.

Others mentioned that the vacuum is too short for the their toddlers but not for our toddlers. Perfect size. It makes sounds and it sings. My nephew already knows the melodies. After one year of usage, none of the parts have broken.

This vacuum is very cute and has realistic sounds along with its musical and learning modes. Two problems I have with it are:

1) It's REALLY SMALL. My daughter is 18-months-old, of average height, and the handle is a little higher than her waist. I couldn't tell this before I bought it because of the way the thing is packaged. Had I known, I might have opted for a different vacuum.

2) The handle doesn't stand up like a real vacuum, so the wheels always roll out to make it lay flat. Kind of a bummer, but I wish I could just store it in a corner like I do a real vacuum.

One good thing is that it has a volume control, so it's not that loud.

Hi well, we love this product. who cares if it stands up? it actually never occurred to me to be a problem, but it seems important to others. The only reason I bought a vacuum is because my autistic then 3 year old (now 3 1/2)son and my then infant now 14 months were so afraid of the vacuum that I could not use it unless I hired someone to take them out of the house, or Daddy immediately took them out of the house as soon as he got home from work. The vacuum comes out ONLY when Mommy vacuums, and now after having this product since Christmas, my autistic son was vacuuming WITH ME and even banging up against my machine, he was that close. That is so so so cool I had tears in my eyes. They have learned how to help, how to value cleanliness, and how to conquer fear.

If your children are afraid of the vacuum, I highly recommend this product. The small size was PERFECT because my 3 year old was so much bigger than the product--this son is 20% over the 100th percentile mark for his height, and it was proportioned to his body the same as my big Dyson is to me, and I'm 5'4".

I called Fisher Price this morning, the day after purchasing this toy and fearing it was broke. They informed me the reason it doesn't stand on its own is to prevent a child using it as a standing aid, which it is not built to do. This is a safety measure to keep children safe. 5. The biggest complaint that I might have about this toy is the train car add ons and how they attach to each other. The additional train cars have hook and string add ons that tend to fall of easily during play. An older child might not have such a problem with this.

6. The animals make clicking sounds when the joints are moved. The bottom of each animals foot/hoof have textures and shapes.

7. Some of the animals even make the appropriate sound for that animal...like the monkey.

8. Has stationary mode and moving mode.

Overall, very neat toy. My 9 month old really enjoys it.

This is part of a new line, so I did not have much advance feedback on the product. However, my daughter got it for a first birthday and she loves it. The animals are durable and fun to position (they sit, stand, etc. without tipping over). The train moves well when the smokestack is pushed, but this feature can be turned off and my daughter likes pushing the cars around. We even bought an extra animal (sold separately) she loved it so much.

I think its great even for an older child and a toddler neighbor loves it. It is a good toy for pretend play with the animals and the train cars are sturdy enough to hold other things (blocks, etc.)

Overall, a great toy at a time when it is hard to find toys that are safe, yet encourage active and creative play (that 12-24 months range).

This animal train is an adorable toy. My 2 year old has this and she loves it. 2 or 3 is definitely not too old for this. It's really cute and not so babyish that it seems inappropriate to give to this age.

It's nice that this train goes so well on carpet, unlike some other toys. There is no problem with that.

My daughter especially likes the sturdy, colorful animals that came with this. Her set came with a giraffe, an elephant, and a monkey. The giraffe's & elephant's joints make cool clicking noises when you move them around. This is very appealing to little kids. Our monkey is not jointed and makes no sounds. A previous reviewer said something about the monkey making sounds. That person must have been referring to a monkey that came in a separate set because the one pictured here doesn't do anything.

One thing my husband and I don't like about this train is the singing. Singing is good, don't get me wrong. It's just that the woman's voice on this thing is LOUD and annoying and she isn't singing known songs. There are 2 volume choicesloud and louder. We ended up putting a few layers of tape over the speaker holes & it's still loud. As for the songs on this, I'd think "I've been working on the railroad" or something like that would have been nice rather than the made up nonsense that this train has. It would also be nice if the train would run without the music turned on, but it doesn't.

Overall, great toy but horrible music.

I had originally bought this toy for my 8 month old, (as the package said it's for 6months+)... but when I gave it to him to play with, he didn't really seem that interested. Instead, my 21 month old daughter took it and has a blast with it! It keeps her occupied for several hours a day as she tried to position the animals and put them on the train etc... She LOVES this toy and we can't wait until the other animals arrive! I wouldn't buy this for a younger child (under 12 months) but is perfect for a 12-30 month range.

We bought this train when our son was 6 months old, after watching him thoroughly enjoy one at a cousin's house. He loves it and we are thrilled that we bought it. He has played with it ever since, and even more than any other toy he has. Not only that, but every child that has come to our house has enjoyed it, whether they were 6 months old up to 9 years! It simply captivates children of all ages. This thing is super cute and extremely durable. Even after repeated abuse (beating on it, throwing it, standing on it, even puking on it ;), it runs like a top! It even runs great on carpet! The batteries last surprisingly long on it too. In a year and a half, I think I've only changed them twice, and considering how much it is played with, that is remarkable.

It is a noise-maker, with songs and sounds, but there is a low and high volume switch (as well as an off switch) and the low setting is very tolerable. The music is really great--anything gets annoying after it's repeated many times of course, but all things considered, these songs are very well done and I enjoy them.

Just a side note that has probably already been mentioned: if you get all the train cars and hook them up, the engine isn't quite strong enough to pull them all. And then, it may do better on a hard floor rather than carpet--I haven't actually tried that. Nevertheless, that hasn't ruined the experience for my child in any way. He loves this toy, and the animals all by themselves are enough to entertain for long periods.

One more small thing: you have to buy all the rest of the train pieces and extra animals separately. This can get pretty pricey. I have seen a few deals where you can get a couple of cars and animals in a multi set for a better price. We had grandparents and friends who were encouraged to add pieces for my son's birthday and Christmas, so it actually worked out quite well. All in all, this toy gets a A+ from our family, and I would totally recommend it to anyone!

Lamaze Garden Bug Wrist Rattle / Foot Finder Set of 4 (2 Wrist 2 Footies)

My 7 month old daughter can't seem to keep the footies on her feet, but really, what baby can keep her socks on all day? These are great for entertainment on car rides. She'll keep the wrist rattles on all day and sometimes I'll slip the footies onto her hands to mouth and shake.

~BACKGROUND~

I purchased the same ones, but different colors Lamaze Garden Bug Wrist Rattle & Foot Finder Set for my 2 month old son to use in aiding his motor skill development.

~PROS~

Cute and colorful eye catching designs.

Wrist rattles can be used for more than just the wrist they can be attached to carriers, playpads, etc.

~CONS~

Foot rattles are hard to put on initially and then remain stretched out and too big.

Foot rattles are not designed like a sock with a curve to them. The are merely tubes of fabric. Perhaps this contributes to why they do not stay on very well?

Foot rattles keep coming off. There is minimal elasticity in the socks and they keep sliding down. Even over socks they just keep sliding down. When my son starts moving his feet around the rattles are hanging off or just come off altogether.

Rattles are a bit too quiet.

The wrist rattle cuffs are a bit on the small side.

The foot rattles are a bit on the large side.

~CONCLUSION~

I think the it is a great concept, but definitely could be executed better.

Unfortunately, my son does not really pay attention to any of rattles. This is strange because he loved looking at and touching similar looking toys. But he does enjoy chewing on the wrist rattles.

I would not recommend these and would recommend spending your ~$20 on something else.

I am a first time mother who purchased this for her 3 month old son in hopes of stimulating his senses and help him learn cause and effect. I was very dissapointed on both counts with this product. Because the socks are so narrow and do not take into account the natural arch of the foot and ankle, it takes forever to put them on him. By the time they are on, he is cranky and crying. Overall, they do not produce enough of a rattle to captivate him. They are bright and colorful, though. Not worth the money and in hindsight, I wish I had returned them.

The garden bug wrist rattles are fabulous ! however, the bugs on the foot finder rattles are too heavy and the sock falls off my baby's foot with one kick. These would be better if the bugs were a little lighter and smaller

Everything about this set excited the baby. I am concerned a bit about some of the stitching, but it is something that could easily be repaired, and that's IF anything happens.

Brainy Baby 123's Board Book

My granddaughter loves the Brainy Baby television shows and I just knew she would like a book from the series as well. Great quality board book.

Each page has a number with the same number of a different item. It goes up to 20. Not really a story book but teaches counting. My son is 2 and can count to 20 thanks to this book.
