Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Learning Workbench

I bought this toy several months ago after seeing it recommended in Parents magazine. My son loves this toy! He loves to pull the knob for the drill press, bang on the pegs and spin the paint roller. This has been the best $25 I've spent in his short life. It's withstood all the banging he can dish out and he loves the lights and music. I like changing the mode from time to time (counting/ABC's, tool sound effects, music) to mix things up for him and he sometimes looks surprised that it's different from the last time he played with it. I think it keeps him from getting bored. He goes through phases with his toys, he'll have favorites for a while, but he always loves this toolbench. We don't go away for a weekend or on vacation without it!

Bought this for my 6 month old, and he loves it. We're learning to sit up, so this is a great toy for him to lean on for some stability while practicing. He really enjoys pressing the buttons and spinning the various tools. I appreciate that it has different modes with different songs and activities, so A) you don't get tired of hearing the same tunes over and over and B) my son stays interested.

As to the comments about stability, of course the toy falls over when children try to stand and lean on it, but what do you expect from a toy of this size? Fisher Price made the legs as stable as they likely could for a toy of this size. I'm really not sure what they could do to improve on it besides making the whole thing larger.

We got this as a gift for my DAUGTHERS 1st B-day! I thought it was a boys toy but she loves it. She uses the hammer to beat that bench to death, its so funny! It lights up and makes realistic noises. I saw this little work bench at Babies 'R Us months ago and loved it! I immediately wanted to buy it for my little boy, but decided to wait until he was a little older. I bought it a few weeks ago for my son (he is now 4 months old) and the toy is for 6 months +. I didn't think he'd be into it yet so I just had it sitting in the bag in my dining area for a while. One day I decided to put it in his room and I pulled it out of the bag and showed it to him. My son's face lit up and he got all excited so I started playing with it to show him. He LOVED it so I took it out of the packaging then and there and he has played with it every day since! My son still needs support sitting so he sits in his bumbo or on my lap to play with the work bench and he will play with it for 20 min+ until I decide for us to move on to something else. I love it and so does my baby, great toy!

It's a cute and fun toy, but my 8 month old continuously pulls it into/onto himself. Sometimes completely pulling it to the ground. Needless to say it's very light weight. BUT I do have to say it is fun if you sit and hold it while you play. I'd definitely recommend this toy for a brand new sitter or to help "practice" sitting.
