Fisher-Price Sesame Street Elmo Sing and Giggle Camera

Ok, so I bought this toy for my 1 1/2 year old. he loves it , mind you, but I find some of the material they have Elmo saying to be...less than ok for small children. I never thought I'd see the day when Elmo says " work it baby work it!" and " give it to Elmo!" Just an heads up for anyone thinking of buying this toy, I thought some of the dialogue was inappropriate. my son loves it! I cringe.

My twins received this toy as a gift for Christmas. At first, I thought it was cute, Elmo tells them to say cheese, and sings a little song. After a little while, though, some other phrases started to come up. "Work it, baby, work it!" and "Give it to Elmo!" were two that immediately stood out as things I never thought I would hear Elmo say. I am really disappointed that those phrases were included. The boys love this toy, but I think the batteries may be removed soon. I know they won't enjoy it as much if the buttons don't cause it to make noise, but I really think some of the things this toy says are inappropriate for toddlers, or any children.

As other reviewers have mentioned, some of the phrases seem a little "strange" to be coming from Elmo. My 17 month old loves it, but it drives me crazy. There's only one volume, with no off switch. Mommy will probably be "losing" this toy soon.

This has the voice of Cookie Monster! My grand daughter LOVES Elmo. I gave this to her for a Birthday present, and it had Cookie Monster's voice, NOT Elmo. VERY disappointed!!!
