It fits into the bag which her mom brings whenever anyone watches her so that the babysitters can work with her using this educational toy. She can find the shapes, and match the puzzle pieces, but she does not have the dexterity to get them into their place on the foam board, we have to help. She loves looking at the shapes on the poster and when we ask, she can point to some that we name. This little one loves to learn and whenever she sees the transparent plastic envelope with this toy inside, she fusses until we place it on the floor and play it with her. Someone is always with her when she uses this toy, teaching and encouraging her. Also at one year, she tends to be a bit rough and if you want this toy to last, supervision is in order. The First Years Nature Sensations Dreams In Sight Mobile

This mobile is an excellent choice. It has two settingday and night. The day setting allows the canopy to spin to four very different "songs" and the night setting has the day features with the added light show. It projects onto the canopy and spins in the opposite direction of the toys hanging from the canopy. It is very soothing for my 1 month old daughter. One of the best features of this mobile is the remote control for parents. The music and lights will play for around 10 minutes. If your child is not to sleep yet and needs more music to lull them to sleep, simply press the button on the remote (hanging on your child's door knob) and the mobile starts up again. It is fantastic. They don't even have to know you are checking on them! There is one other feature I forgot to mention. There is a volume button with two settings. I use both. This product is sturdy and very well made. The assembly was not difficult and I would definitely recommend it. By the way, there is no winding involved with this mobile. Just press a button and it's spinning!

UPDATE 1/8/2011: I just pulled this mobile out of storage for use with my third baby due in April and it's still working just as great as it did day 1. My second child also loved it and it was used frequently with both him and my daughter who was born in 2005 when I wrote the original review. I have yet to replace the lightbulb either.

ORIGINAL REVIEW 12/2005: As someone who has extensively researched every baby item before buying it, I was a bit reluctant to buy this mobile since it's new and I couldn't find a single review on it. It was so cute though that after spending months finding the best crib sheets and the right diaper bag, I had to take the plunge and purchase it.

The mobile was very easy to asemble. So easy, my boyfriend and I were able to put it together while I was in early labor. It only takes five minutes tops to get it up and runningif you don't have to go digging around the house for a screwdriver.

One of the big things I love about this mobile is it runs for 10 minutes and shuts itself off. Another major plus is the remote that comes with it. The remote only shuts it on and off, you cannot switch songs or turn the projector on and off with it, but it's still very handy!

Our daughter is almost 4 weeks old and she can't really focus on it well yet, however her eyes do try to look up at it and the nature sounds sooth her to sleep. With four weeks of constant use, the four D batteries are just now starting to die. For the use we've put into it, and the extra hours of sleep it's given us, this mobile it worth the money we've put into it!

UPDATE-

My daughter is 7 months old now and hardly sleeps in her crib. When she does lay in it though, she likes to watch the bugs go by and has shown favoritism towards the bee. I like that the mobile doesn't eat batteries. Now that she is starting to pull herself up, we had to take the mobile off, however, you can leave the green base part on the crib so it plays music stillanother plus!

One odd thing to notewe have digital cable and our digital cable remote when I hit the menu button sometimes turns the mobile on. It does this probably 1 out of 10 times. It was funny the first few times because we thought it was going on by itself... but now it's just annoying.

I really like this mobile and so does my little girl (5 weeks old). I read the review that said it was poorly made but mine works just fine. The animals are really bright colored and cute on it and they face downward so the baby can see their faces instead of their butts the whole time. Also, the light show is within her range of sight. Many mobiles project on the ceiling but little babies can't see that far. The 4 music selections are pretty good too. It's just repetitious enough to calm her down but I haven't gotten annoyed with it yet. And with two volume settings, it's nice for when she's almost asleep. Plus, the overhead part comes off of the music box for the day when she's too old for that part but would still like the music. There is no winding things up and the remote is a nice extra feature. By the way, it's easy to put together also.

I researched lots of mobiles trying to find just the right one. I knew that I wanted one with lights b/c my husband and I thought that would be a pretty cool feature. In my research I found out that most people didn't like the mobiles with lights b/c they hardly showed up (because they project on the ceiling) so when I saw this mobile with the lights shining on the canopy I decided to give it a try. The picture shown above does not do it justice it has bright colors, the mobile arm moves which is great when you are changing crib sheets, the lights are bright on the canopy without disturbing my son or keeping him from falling asleep, the different music and nature sounds are perfect and include volume control. All in all we are very glad we ended up with this mobile. I have not had any trouble with it and my son is 4 mo. old now. I would say this is a wonderful product for the price and you can't go wrong with it!!!

Shortly after turning this on in the night mode (with the lights), I heard a continuous clicking and it stopped spinning. I had to coax it along with my hands. This happened over and over until I took it back and exchanged it. The second mobile had the exact same problem so it went back for a refund. It's too bad -if it were made well it would be a nice mobile. FOr $40 you'd think the product would at least work for a couple of days!

Giant Construction Box Set (24 Piece)

I was skeptical of the product until we opened the box. Once we looked at the instructions carefully putting the blocks together was a snap. Our 7 year old granddaughter only had to be shown twice and she put the majority of the blocks together by herself. She and her sister were building forts and "cafes' together almost immediately. I bought these blocks for a friend's 4 children at Christmas. There are 3 boys (ages 5, 3, 2) and 1 girl (age 2) and they ALL love these blocks. My grandson has a smaller version of the same dog. When I ordered the dog I was under the impression that it only came in one size thus did not go any further. After the first 30 mins my kids were in it, it started losing air. They love playing in the pool, but my husband has patched it 2x and had to spray the outside of the pool with rubber sealant for it to stop.

As I expected it is not very durable. The wheel that spins was deflated and no longer worked after the first two weeks. I was hoping for better. The kids did love it though so I gave it three stars. It is plenty big for my triplets to play in. It's fun if you can find a "Little Tikes" slide to use with it.

We had an issue with the first pool not holding air. But amazon was great about us sending it back and replacing it immediately. The new pool is up and staying up!! My grandson is 14 months old and its the perfect size for him and his cousin to play in. Id recommend this size pool for 2-3 toddlers to play in at once. It has a neat little sprinkler feature to it and comes with a few plastic balls that go into the hanging tube. There is a safety landing pad at the base of the slide which is great for when kids get a little over excited and tend to land a bit harder. The price was great too and worth the 40 dollars.

A side note: There are multiple places to inflate different parts of this pool. So dont be expecting to have this thing up in minutes...It will take atleast 20-30 minutes to set it up. We used an electric air pump on the bigger parts.

We LOVE Jungle Junction and had to get this....but the second my son held it by the eyes the popped right off. I think it's made that way which in my opinion is a design flaw....why would you want to remove his eyes? Everything else seems OK...

I bought this toy for a one year old's birthday expecting it to be much bigger it's very short and the rings are itty-bitty. It's not even close to the size of a typical ring stacker it almost seems more like a mini decorative toy than a real one. I doubt it would be too entertaining to a toddler due to it's size (plus it would be almost impossible for them to actually use). It's a shame because it is beautifully done but it's just too small. I returned it and Amazon was great about the refund.

This toy is beautiful, but disappointingly small -I'd be afraid to give the smallest three parts to a child under two or three.

This is a beautifully crafted toy, and I would really love it, if not for the incredibly small size. I bought this for my 9 month old son thinking he would learn with it, but unfortunately he can't use it, since the smallest rings are a choking hazard, and so is the top piece. I am so disappointed, I really wanted to love this toy, but for the price I expected something larger. I suppose it's my fault for not realizing that the pieces had to be small to fit the dimensions. Now we're out a toy, and it's 3 days before Christmas, so I guess he'll just be short one toy, since this will have to go back. It's an excellent idea, but bad execution.

When I recieved this it was smaller then I expected and like some of the other reviewers I found it more decorative. I was also concerned about the small pieces. I put up the smallest two pieces and my son kind of examined them here and there. However, now that he is almost a year he loves it and will sit and put all the rings on the stick over and over again. I've found the small size is actually the perfect size for him to pick up and he is very happy with it. I think it is a good size for small hands and as long as properly supervised is fine. I have not had any trouble with paint chipping. It is very well made.

My 11 month old received this toy for Christmas this year and LOVES it. However, like most children his age he is teething and sticks everything in his mouth. Well, the paint on the characters is coming off in his mouth. So, we have to watch him very carefully so that he isn't putting the little characters in his mouth. Other than the paint coming off, it's a cute toy. It doesn't do much, but it entertains my son for at least 10 minutes and that's quite an achievement!!

My son received the smartville ice cream shop for his first bday. he played with it all the time. We bought him the rest of the set for christmas. This is definitely his favorite toy. He is 15 months now and he plays with this set almost all day long. This is one of the best things I could have bought for him. He understands how it works by placing the characters on the round spots. I feel it will be a great teaching tool for when he is ready to learn the alphabet and his numbers.

My 1-year old son really enjoys this particular V-Tech toy (he has several). The stacking feature (package and letter) is a nice challenge. As V-Tech states, the add-ons (e.g., eagle) in these smaller units work with the large Alphabet Train Station. Love the volume control and auto shut-off features. Great buy at the low sale price. At the full price, may be better to save for the large train station.

Other than chewing of the little animals, my grandson doesn't play with this toy at all. He's had it for months and still no interest. He has his favorite toys but this isn't one of them. I wish I hadn't spent the money on it. I'm not even sure how a baby is suppose to play with this toy. There is no car to go down the road or bridge or what ever that blue thing is. You can't put the letter in the mail box, there is no place to put it "in". You can push it through the large hole in the top, but it's not the shape of the letter, and the mail box doesn't stand up on it's own. You're suppose to put the animals on the center magnet and it will tell you what it is, an owl and a couple others having nothing to do with mail. It's even hard for me to make it work, but it doesn't seem like much fun.

We received these slippers as a gift for my son. They LOOK adorable but they really are pointless. At 6 months (the size we were given for him) they just didn't stay on his feet. The size was technically correct but because of the way they are made, it is just extremely difficult for them to stay on his feet. They look cute for a quick photo shoot but DON'T spend your money on these. We held on to them thinking maybe they would work for the next kiddo...nope. The First Years Disney Pooh Peek & Teethe Crinkle Book

My son was absolutely enraptured with this book before he showed interest in any other toys. The crinkling of the pages would always catch & keep his attention, and it was the first thing he could interact with & get a response. It went everywhere we went, until it got lost at daycare one day... I am buying another of these for #2 (on the way), as this is a diaper bag essential!

We actually got this crinkle book as a gift from a Disney set (from Sam's Club, I think) and our son LOVED it as a baby. It was one of two toys we always gave him when he was in the car seat. When he was really young (3-6 months or so) we would hang it from the car seat handle, and now that he's older (6-13 months), we just hand it to him. We just love hearing the "crinkle crinkle" from the back seat when we're out and about. He plays with it and chews on it and it still looks almost brand new. I agree with another reviewer that it's more of a toy than a book, but I still can't wait for him to be able to read it! I highly recommend this book.

This is a cute, bright little book (emphasis on little, there is a cover page, one page in the middle, and the back cover page) that my three-month-old likes. I think it is overpriced online; I bought mine at a well-known supercenter store for $4.80. The crinkle pages and little flaps that fold down are interesting to baby, and the dialogue is simple enough that my two-year old nephew had it down after two readings--he was thrilled that he could "read" this book to his baby cousin. I'm hopeful that my baby will like the teether pages (both the cover and the back page have the plastic teether parts) once she starts cutting teeth. I'm very happy with my purchase, but again, I bought mine for about half of what this item is listed.

Lovabelliez - "Huggable Hannah" Plush Toy

Huggable Hannah is just adorable! She is made of very soft fleece, and the construction (stitching, etc.) is high-quality. The best part about her (other than that she is super-soft and cute) is that she is filled with just the right amount of stuffing to make her perfectly hugggable not too hard and not too soft! She would make a great gift for either a boy or a girl. (And her tail is awesome!)

I was so excited to get this for my 6 month old baby to play in. He loves the tub, so I figured, why not try a little pool outside? He loves it! It's the perfect size for him, although, give him another few months, and its size won't be so accommodating. I don't think he's a BIG baby, but I could be wrong. He's 28 inches and 18lbs. When he kind of lounges on the blown up part, his legs hang over the other side. Also, the material is kind of flimsy. I was afraid it would rip if I put it in the grass and there was a hidden stick or something, so I just kept it on the porch. It also comes with a patch, so I wasn't very convinced about it's durability. Other than those things, we love it! It's a great time killer and a good way to keep baby cool while outside.

I purchased the inflatable pool to be used on a cruise ship since my daughter is not yet potty trained to use the pool. I also used it to bath her since there is no tub on the cruise ship.

As a pool, I took it on the deck and placed it between to lounge chairs. I filled it with pool water using an ice bucket that I got from the bar. It worked out just fine. My daughter was able to enjoy the sun and play in the water. This was also a perfect size.

Moover Baby Truck Red

We purchased this truck for our son's first birthday. It's big for a toy truck and tiny for a ride on so it's a good size for him right now. I was surprised that it was a bit more difficult to put together than I had anticipated. The crane didn't want to snap in place and I was afraid it would break, but it didn't. and the string holding the crane was incredibly difficult to thread through the hole. We had to resort to some tape and tweezers. Additionally, every time I go to pick it up and move it, I get frustrated because the piece I grab lifts off. I think I will manage to train myself to pick it up by the cab.

All that aside, it appears to be well constructed, doesn't make any noises or require batteries and is easy on the eyes all positives in my book. The back top piece comes off so my son enjoys hiding away some of his smaller toys in there and is surprised to find them later.

Shrek Romper And Headpiece

I thought I was just ordering the headpeice but the entire costume came! It is HILLARIOUS! My 2-year-old nephew looked hysterical waching the Shrek video with the headpeice on. He thinks he is a baby Shrek now.

I was very happy with the quality of this romper. I used it as a halloween costume for my 1 year old, TOO CUTE! He kept the head piece on about half the time, but this is something he can use just to play in for fun until he grows out of it! Buy this, you're kid will be adorable!

My 3 year old loves this costume. The only change I am going to have to make is to cut the bottom of the feet so he can wear shoes. I think this costume may have been meant for younger children but since my child is small for his age it works for him just not the feet part.

This Shrek costume is great quality for the price. It is fairly warm and looks great. I will say that the Shrek face online and even on the package label itself did not match the face on the actual costume. The picture looked much more like Shrek than the real headpiece (perhaps poor quality control). Either way, this combined with the "Shrek Forever After Trick or Treat Pail" made it clear who my little boy was dressed as and everyone loved it. Can't beat this costume for a character that is hard to find in stores anymore.

I was so sad to see that the costume was a bit too small for my 14 month old, 30 lb baby because it was probably the cutest costume I found all season. So even though he didn't wear it, I gave it five stars for how absolutely adorable and unique it was.

Bath Squirters - Dinos In Bag

These are very cute little bath toys, and my 2 year old daughter has LOVED them, but four months of regular use has led to the insides being completely covered in mildew/mold stuff. The squirter aspect has been somewhat disappointing, I find them hard to get water into and out of and although it has gotten a little easier with time my daughter still can't work them herself (and I think it's this inability to easily squeeze all the water out that has led to the mildewing).

I purchased these along with a few other dinosaur toys for a little boy having his 2nd birthday. He loves dinosaurs and taking baths so they were perfect for him. Really adorable.

My now 9 month old has always been interested in the jewelry around my neck. Since I am an athlete I typically wear a cord type necklace with a pendant (sturdy).
