This mobile is very pretty and my three-month-old likes to watch it turn, but the quality was not quite what I expected for the price. It is fine, but nothing special (it doesn't hang quite evenly, for example, and there are puckers in the fabric of the birdhouse). I could live with this, however, the music is VERY loud and tinny. It's so loud that I don't play it for my daughter when I want her to sleep b/c it seems to disturb her. Occassionally I will wind it up when I want to distract her in her crib but I was looking for something that would lull her to sleep and this does not quite fit the bill. I wish there were some way of just spinning the mobile without the music--she would enjoy that much more.
The birds on this mobile are cute, but I really ordered it for the novel tune. Finally something cheerful! No Brahams Lullaby! Then right away the music box that I bought it for didn't work! They eventually replaced it (almost a month in coming), and it now seems okay, but I don't think I'd buy from them again... I wanted something that could wind since it uses no batteries, but the way this mechanism works is disappointing. Try a different company perhaps...
