i only have 1 problem with it. As a musical person, I should've noticed that it didn't have a full octave (8 notes) when I picked it up. It only has 6 notes, which means that I cannot teach my daughter much about music later using this toy. But by then I will probably get her a full-size piano keyboard, so that won't be a problem.
It's been almost a year and we haven't had to change the batteries. The sound is more like an organ pedal than a piano key, which doesn't bother me. I have been surprised to find that the sound wasn't one I couldn't tolerate if she pressed the same note 50 times. I never get tired of hearing her play with it, even in the car with 2 other children. My 7 and 9 year-olds pick it up to play with it sometimes, which is another reason I would like for it to have at least 8 notes.
All in all, it's a great toy! I think sometimes simple is better, and my daughter doesn't like toys that play a song to her; she'd rather play one herself! I doesn't have any flashing lights or other toys, but I think that's why she likes it so much. I never have to worry that she's getting over-stimulated. I think a toy is something to entertain yourself, not have it entertain you and this toy fits that perfectly.
