We got this for our daughter for her 2nd birthday and she loves it (so does our 3 yr old boy :) They love to lay in front of her and ask her to crawl to them. It is adorable. She does crawl on her hands a knees. It isn't fast, but it is a toy for toddlers. Also, who cares if Ariel shouldn't have legs as a baby?! It wouldn't be fair to all of the kids whose favorite princess is Ariel. What would the catalog read ..."sorry if you like Ariel, we don't have a toy for you since she shouldn't have legs as a baby." If you don't like it, buy one of the other pricesses. I admit, it is a little expensive for what it does. (and if it stops crawling and only talks, just replace the batteries and she'll be good as new.)

YOU CAN PUT HER UP ON HER HANDS AND FEET AND SHE'LL CRAWL LIKE THAT, WHICH IS FUNNY TO A KID, BUT THE REGULAR CRAWLING ISN'T VERY PRODUCTIVE. I PAID $45 FOR THIS, AND IT'S NOT REALLY WORTH IT. IF YOU GET IT ON SALE, THOUGHT, IT'S DEFINITELY CUTE AND HELPS FOSTER THE MOMMY ATTITUDE IN A KID.

The problem that has arisen with this toy in our home is that baby Ariel never had legsshe had a fish tail. So she should be swim and feed Ariel. This has caused quite a fuss with everyone we meet.
