Searched for ecofriendly musical instruments and bought this one. Description says its from Italy and it wasn't until I received it that I realized it is only designed in Italy and made in China. The little painted animal on the mouth peice immediately wore off which makes me a bit nervous... hopefully it wasn't saturated with lead. toy is okay but would have happily bought a cheaper one since this one really isn't eco-friendly just because it's made of wood (note ad does not say it's FSC or sustainable wood, just wood).
I was surprised at how well made this is, and what a good tone it has. Our child loves it and I think will use it for several years. It's very durable. I would recommend it for any child.
