We purchased this toy for our son when he was aged 17 months. The seat is low to the ground and my son is very tall for his age so we were concerned that he would be TOO tall....His height has never been an issue and at 36 in. tall, he rides the toy everyday.

Whomever came up with the design of this riding toy is a genius. With the narrow rear end of this rider, there's no need for little ones to maintain their balance as they kick their leg over the seat. Simply hop upon the rider from behind. My son owns two other riding toys and the fisher price is easily the most stable one.

Clearly, toddlers are unstable on their feet for a long while and no riding toy is completely spill proof. Should you purchase the toy and and the toodler be too unstable, set it aside for a month or so and try it again later. For the money, this rider toy simply can't be beat.

My son and I were both unhappy with this ride-on toy. My son is 17 months old and is 34 inches tall his legs were just too long for this toy. Not to mention that when he tried to scoot along on it, his foot kept getting caught in the rear wheel (also I noticed that the wheels don't roll well at all). Overall, it was a bummer! If you have a much smaller child, I think this would work well, but if your child is a bit larger, I would not recommend it!

Both my boys tried to ride this over and over with the same results. The ride-on is balanced so that a little too much pressure on the handle bars sends the kids over face first into the floor. I got tired of bruised faces and crying kids and got rid of it. Definitely disappointing.

We purchased this for our toddler just before he turned one; he began walking at nine months, so he was ready for it. He loves it! He pushes it, pulls it, oh and yes, he even rides it.

One thing, though, it's not perfectly steady: recently as he was zooming along the living room floor, he caught his foot under a front wheel and went head-over-heels, right over the handle. He landed face first ouch! So please don't get too comfortable with the name of the toy, a toddler can still fall over and hurt himself/herself.

But besides that, no problems whatsoever. He loves it and I can guess it will remain a favorite for a very long time.

I bought this for my daughter's first birthday. She took to it instantly! I even have to keep my three year old off it. She mastered getting on and off it within a week or two. She not only likes to ride it, but also enjoys pushing it around. It is very simple to assemble, no tools needed! No worrys about staying up late Christmas Eve :). This toy is quite durable. bought this leash for my son and for the most part worked great until he would turn around. more often then not the leash would rap around his neck, disturbing. i bought a different one that has the leash on the bottom instead of top.

I originally didn't want to put my son on a leash... But he is a wild one! I have an 18 months old who prefers to walk around on his own. (strollers are out of the question). For two months, I have been allowing him to walk around while holding my hand, however recently he has gotten very good at wriggling his hand and wrist to get free from mine. The solution? He now gets to where this harness whenever we go out to the mall or disney (which we visit fairly often). He liked that it was a puppy, and it seems he is perfectly comfortable wearing it, however the fact he was on a leash took him some getting used to (he kept running as fast and far as he could causing himself to jerk back and fall... he is an oddball, and found this funny. After several outings he has finally gotten used to the limited length of the leash, and is attempting to wander off less! My only complaint is I wish the leash and clip that attaches it to the puppy back pack where a little stronger and more durable. It has held up fine thus far, but i am not sure how long it will last against this boy! The price, however, is low enough that I would not complain if i had to replace it after a few months of agressive, heavy use. Overall this was a great buy to keep my little guy happy and safe.

This puppy backpack harness is super cute and huggably soft. We first introduced it to our daughter as a doll and she would hug it and pat it because it was so soft. Then when she started to walk, she was thrilled to bring her favorite puppy dog along. Great idea and great execution. The "leash" part is also plush, which is nice. It tucks into the backpack when not in use. I wish it was a little bit longer, though (it's about 4 ft long I would guestimate). Backpack straps are adjustable, though maybe too easily. The only negative is that the shoulder straps are not plush and can irritate my daughter's neck. Luckily we started using it during winter so usually she has a sweater or a jacket on. Other than that minor complaint, we use it all the time and always get compliments about it. Most importantly, my daughter loves it and likes wearing it when we are out.

This is a very cute way to keep track of my two year old. We just got it today. However, I am very disappointed to see that the front clasp on the harness doesnt stay closed. I dont know if this is faulty craftmanship or what but not happy that now I have to go through the trouble and mail it back.

Update: after spending 10.70 to return the faulty item priority mail I received another one as requested. The one that was sent to me has a clasp that has the same piece on each side. It is impossible to close. I dont know where this seller got their product but this is ridiculous. I wont purchase from them again.

I bought this for my assistant's little girl (age 2 or 3). I had a hard time finding an African American doll that I liked, but when I saw the picture of this one, I was thrilled. When I received the doll, I was beyond thrilled! The picture did not do it justice. Most dolls in this price range are OK, but this doll was a lot more than just OK. She has the sweetest face. I wanted to pull her out of the box and play with her myself she was just so sweet, soft and lovable. Her toy lamb is cute too. Her blanket was sooo soft and her body was soft as well. As an added benefit her PJ's glow in the dark she has a little light and it plays lullabys. Even the box it came in was adorable-like a little crib. Mattel did this one right!

Chicco Toys DJ Piano

This item was purchased for my son's 1st birthday by my sister. He loved it immediately as he loves music, and all the little animal noises are really cute. Unfortunately the sound effect button for the percussion noises (bottom left large orange button) didn't work and we couldn't hear any drum noises. I contactly Chicco via e-mail and with only a picture e-mailed to them of the item, they sent me a replacement. Too bad that the replacement also had a percussion button that could barely be heard, so I think it's a manufacturing problem. Now after 4 months of playing with it, I noticed that a couple noises on the joystick aren't working, even though the rest of the item is working (so ostensibly the batteries don't need to be changed). I'm assuming again this is a defect in the manufacturing, but other than that, the toy is great. Lots of great sounds, nice tunes and easy for baby to take from room to room. I'm looking at getting the Chicco guitar next!

My 1 year old and my 6 year old actually fight over this toy! They both love it and it has stayed a winner for the last 6 months. I would buy it again.

This toy is fun enough for the kids (lights up, vibrates, cute noises), but it will drive the parents crazy. Like a previous reviewer mentioned, there is no off switch. There is also no volume control, and it is extremely touchy. If you try to store any toys on top of it, it will go off non-stop until you move it. Even the vibration of walking by it is sometimes enough to set it off. It's a shame, because it really could have been a good toy with the addition of one little switch.

As other reviewers have stated, it's loud. There's no volume control or off switch, and it will constantly go off if it's face down or something is on top of it (or next to it) in the toy box. My son loved it at first, but got bored with it quickly. The only way to keep it silent is to take the batteries out, but then it's no fun if he ever wants to actually use it. Unfortunately this was a gift from somewhere else and couldn't be returned.

If it had an on/off switch it'd be worth the price.

Chicco Surprise Circus

This toy is good in theory but fails in practice. It's way to difficult for my baby to pop the train cars together, stack, or make the animals pop up. My 4yr old can do all these things with it but she is too old to care much. It's fine if you are actively playing with your baby/toddler, but it's no good for them to play with alone.

I bought this for my 1 year old daughter thinking she would like pulling a little train around and popping the different characters up and down in the little cars, and learning how to stack them up. It held her attention for a few minutes and then she was finished with it. It also feels cheaply made. Wish I had spent my money on something better.

My son is 2 years old. He is on the smaller side. With that said, we travelled to California. Stayed in 2 hotels and a personal residence. This tub saved my life. Portable, sturdy, and cool. He loves it. I love it. And it withstood TSA, being folded and deflated multiple times from California back to Hawaii. Highly recommend it IF you can get your hands on one of them. They go quick!!!!

It's a cute looking bathtub, but the reason i bought it was to have something to give my baby daughter a bath in, that could also be cleaned and stored eaily. We only have a shower, and have limited storage at our place. This bathtub does the job admirably. I dont bother to deflate it ever, but it is light, easy enough to drain by simply tipping it into the shower, easy enough to clean by using our showerhead, as simple to dry as just leaning it against the shower wall, and simple enough to store in the corner of the bedroom behind her changing table. For less than $20, i dont see how you could do much better, and quite frankly, i dont see the need for anything more costly either. It was exactly what i needed it to be and everything i expected.

My daughter is only 5 months, but she really smiles at this toy. It's got 4 shapes that fit into 4 different holes (circle, triangle, square, and heart). Every time a toy passes through the hole, it starts singing a song (pretty clearly). The toys drop into the center and they can pull them out and start over.

You can press the top of the cookie jar and it will sing songs as well.

The shapes don't have sharp edges, so I don't get nervous when my daughter puts them in her mouth :)

Kids love this toy. I think in the actual product description it mentions that toddlers can be entertained by this toy for hours and I find that to be quite true. The interactive nature of the toy, the songs and sounds that pour out of it and of course the sorting and shapes are all very engaging. Truth be told this is a fairly sophisticated toy--and they love it. We tend to favor educational toys and this product really hits the nail on the head with that effort. It is impossible to interact with this toy without engaging in the learning process. I would recommend this to parents. Educational toys are typically a little more expensive, but this toy is a great price. Compare it to Toys R' Us type prices and you will find it very reasonable.

Shape shorters are wonderful things. You can use them to teach colours, to teach shapes, to teach small motor skills and now, with this toy, task rewards. You push the shape through and it plays a little song.

We gave this to a friend of ours with a kid who's less than a year old and he had a lot of fun with it, even though he lacks the ability to really get the shapes through the holes.

This toy is cute and entertaining, though it falls short of being outstanding. The sounds and shapes are entertaining for young babies from about the age they learn to sit (roughly 6 months.) It has the put-in-take-out aspect for when they go through that stage, and works as a shape sorter when they become old enough to figure that out. Then the songs will help with learning counting and the alphabet. I think most children will find this a bit babyish by the upper end of the recommended age (36 months) but even my three-and-a-half-year-old wanted to check it out for awhile.

I have only minor complaints. One is that the toy centers around cookies, which for me isn't a huge obstacle but also isn't my favorite for babies at an age where I wouldn't feed them a cookie. Then again, the shapes don't really look like cookies so I doubt it matters much. The other is that the cookies/shapes tend to get lost easily since the front is so open.

Personally I lean away from the category of toys with batteries and jingles, preferring things like basic shape sorters with more shapes and toys that require more imagination as they get a bit older. However, the sounds do help keep a baby interested at a younger age and for longer, so they do have a place in our toybox. Within its category, this is a pretty decent pick for a baby.

LITTLE SUZY'S ZOO Plush Crib MUSICAL MOBILE

I'm the mom of a 7 month old girl. I got this mobile, along with the rest of the Suzy's Zoo line of nursery decor, for my shower. Since I didn't know if I was having a boy or a girl, the cute little animals and neutral colors seemed ideal. Well, the room looks adorable, painted in the color of Boof the Bear's stomach and hand/feet pads. HOWEVER, because I chose to go with this theme, no other mobile seemed to look right in the room. Why am I giving you this whole story? The mobile, which was attached to the crib rail, SNAPPED AND FELL into the crib (narrowly missing the baby's head, I might add) when my daughter was 6 months old. I didn't even have her in the crib until she was 3 months, and I don't use the mobile for music AT ALL because I have another product attached to the crib with longer lasting, more consistently tempoed music. So why did it break? I BARELY brushed the arm with the baby's blanket. I have seen similar reviews about these mobiles on this website (same maker, different theme) but didn't believe (didn't want to!) that a light touch would break a properly installed mobile. Well, folks, it happened to me too! For over a month I have been trying to get the company, Dolly, to respond to my inquiries regarding obtaining a new attachment arm or a refund. They don't even bother to respond. Well, as a consumer, I guess I'll say that the loudest voice is the one that vibrates the wallet...so if you are looking for a cute product, buy this mobile; if you want cute and safe, look elsewhere!

Little Suzy's Zoo Music Mobile was a baby shower gift for my twins. It's cute, but that's about it. If you are looking for a long duration of a lullaby this is not the mobile to get. The lullaby is about two minutes long, which is not long enough to settle my set down. I had to get up and rewind it more often than I care to. After doing that for a couple of weeks I had to pull out one of my old mobiles that has survive three other children.

Our 3 month old just loves her Little Suzy's Zoo mobile!! Around 8-9 weeks of age she started smiling and laughing at "her friends" as they "danced" for her. This mobile is adorable. It's a great addition to a cute baby nursery. The only conflict is when it comes to a decision about whether to go with a cute mobile or a more educationally centered one. this shovel is indestructible kids can stomp on it, try to move beach boulders with it, and the thing does not break. we have had ours for 3 years simply the best toy you can give a kid some kids just love to dig, at the beach, in the back yard, in the alley they can amuse themselves for hours digging this shovel will stand up to all kinds of abuse easy for their small hands to handles, and hoses down for cleaning. we have bought lots of toy shovels, at kmart, at toys stores, etc but they all bust in a week or two... this is top quality. happy digging.

I invested in this shovel ($15 seemed a bit steep) because I was tired of buying the cheap shovels and them breaking. I thought I would invest in a good one and it would last. This shovel did not last for a 1/2 of a summer. The handle is already bending. NOT worth the $15!!

This shovel has a plastic handle that is two pieces. The handle joins the shovel at a joint that is secured with a screw. The flex at this point is pretty dramatic. if you are digging in the sand, the handle feels like it is bending. Bought a wooden handle shovel at half the price and it feels a lot more sturdy.

It's impossible to find something for kids to practice buttons and snaps etc. I bought this hoping it would help a little and my son can do the button which is good, but the snap is super hard even for me because the box is soft, making it hard to press the snap together. Zipper is too easy IMO and we are still practicing the buckle, which I feel is out of date because when would my child ever run across that type of buckle? But it's good for his fine motor skills nonetheless.

This was a little too big for little hands. The snap is impossible to snap as it has a soft backing and just squishes into the cube. The button hole is a little too tight for the button. My 17 month old only got bored and frustrated with it.

Novelty Dolphin Faucet Fountain Case Pack 72

We have 2 different types of "standard" faucet. This whale fountain would not work on either. It claims to work with any standard faucet aerator, but even though it fit over both very snugly and felt like a good, tight fit, in both cases even the slightest bit of water pressure pushed it off. We could not even hold it on to stabilize it during use, it just came off to easily. I have seen some good reviews, so i'd guess it is just the luck of the draw whether your "standard" faucet will be the right type to work with this.

Soft Play Forms

This set is fabulous. I found a set (missing one piece) at a resale store when my daughter was 1. She's now 3.5 and has a little brother, and both of them use these blocks nearly daily. Sometimes they're an obstacle course, a car ramp, a tree to chop down, a roller coaster....

The blocks are very sturdy and are showing no wear after my kids and the previous owners have had years of use.

I'd have a hard time paying quite this much, but if you can swing it, I think they're a great all-around toy!

We bought these blocks because they were the best value for size and use (there are some ridiculously expensive alternatives).

They are good very durable, exactly how they are described. But I am a little disappointed tbh.

This probably has something to do with the fact that our eight-month-old has never really taken to them, but that is also for other reasons, such as:

* The wedge piece is too slick so our baby couldn't make it up without sliding down halfway. This will no doubt change over time when she sis bigger.

* The pieces don't hold together. This means you always keep an eye out to make sure your child isn't going to fall between them and laid on their face

* They just didn't provide the clambering experience we thought they would.

These are picky comments, the description is absolutely fair. We choose a cheaper alternative and that's what you get. I doubt we'll buy a different set but if I was to do it again, i'd get one where the pieces stick together to form an overall block for climbing,

Thankful that noise isn't irritating nice squeaking sound. Wife washes it in sink with warm soap and water and it does fine. No rips or tears in mushroom. Glad someone thought to get this.

Disney Cinderella Deluxe Toddler / Child Costume

Purchased this for a halloween costume. For one or two wears, it is fine. It is not comfortable--daughter complained that it was itchy, so she had to wear a shirt underneath it to be comfortable. It lasted for halloween fine, but just a couple of dress up wears later, the petticoat is coming apart at the elastic waist. The item cannot be washed, so care must be used for each wearing.

All in all, it served the purpose it was intended to and has lasted a bit subsequent to that for dress up.

My daughter does love this dress, it is hard to get her out of it infact. However, it is already starting to tear at the waist seam. I realize that it is just for play but let me tell you that 3yr old girls play all day long in their princess dresses so they have to be durable, this one is adorable and fun but could have used a stronger stitch.

I purchased this for my 4 year old niece she's tiny so it's big in the bodice and waist it would probably fit an average sized 5 or 6 year old child just fine. It comes with a cotton half slip, but the bodice is a bit "see through" and the seams are a little "scratchy" for her sensitive skin. We're going to get a white or beige sleeveless top for underneath it which should help with both issues. It also comes with a headband and choker, but they are just strips of ribbon. Overall, it's nicer than some of the Cinderella costumes I've seen in Target or Toys 'R' Us. We don't have a Disney store nearby anymore, so I can't compare it to what they may offer there.

My daughter loves to where this costume... when I feel like vacuuming the whole house! Right after she opening it up on Christmas morning, glitter was everywhere! I took, the dress outside and shook it out vigorously, but the glitter still falls off like crazy.

Schwinn Easy Steer Tricycle, Red/White

We bought this for my son's 3rd birthday. He has been too small for most trikes we have tried, but since this one has an adjustable seat he can reach the pedals with no problem. It's great! My husband has a bad back so the steering handle on this is a lifesaver. Every morning as soon as Quentin wakes up, he is asking if he can ride his bike. This is great exercise for his legs and will prepare him when he is big enough to ride his bike with training wheels. After two weeks, my son understands the concept of pedaling and steering at the same time. Quentin usually loads up both buckets with his toys and I put my house keys and cell phone in the little bag that is attached to the back of the seat when we take our walks. My 18 month old daughter loves to ride on it and he pushes her around, so the seatbelt comes in handy. This was so easy to assemble. The handle is easily removed, but for now we keep it in place just in case he needs a little extra help or his legs get tired. My only complaint is that the tires aren't pneumatic tires, they are plastic. I really did a lot of research before buying the Schwinn. I love the Radio Flyer name brand, but was leery after reading all the reviews. I am so happy with the choice I made.

Putting it together was fairly easy. The foot rest is great as my 18 month old cannot reach the pedals yet. However, we were not able to pivot the footrest to forward or retracted position. The footrest release doesn't seem to work. We had to unscrew the plastic caps and get the footrest to the forward down position and put the screws back. The seat belt buckle is a little flimsy. Not sure if that would last long. Apart from the footrest release and the seat belt buckle, everything else about this trike is great and of good quality. Walmart sells it for $59 and that's the best deal that I have found for this trike.

I was looking for a tricycle for my kid and wanted something made out of metal, not plastic. I've run across Schwinn and loved the design. It was easy to put it all togeter too, took about 15 min. It's very sturdy and durable which offers many years of use a big plus. Two storage caddies is a great idea, as I always have something in my hands and those are perfect to put your keys and phone so you can steer the trike without juggling stuff in your hands. The parent steering device is very sensitive and handy, it takes just a little turn for the trike to respond. And it's very handy for a kid who is just learning, so you don't have to bend over and walk along holding the child's handles. (That would give you back issues). Another good word to say is about the wheels, they are rubber, so they don't skid on a concrete, dry or wet. Safety seat belt is a great thinking too. Very good quality product.

I am so pleased with this tricycle. As another reviewer wrote -it's easier to steer than a stroller. And it's a great transition for when the child still needs someone to push while providing the opportunity to learn how to coordinate steering and pedaling or, in our case, to practice steering until he can reach the pedals. I purchased it for my 2 1/2 year old nephew. Since he still can't quite reach the pedals the footrest bar is perfect -indispensible, really. The only difficulty I had putting the trike together was tightening the handlebars enough to control the steering. I thought it was defective (as other reviewers noted) until my neighbor came over with his socket wrench and did the job. The trike has a basket on the front to carry sippy cups, a pouch behind the seat for adults to put keys, camera, etc. and a bucket in the back to carry all sorts of treasures. It tips like a dump truck which my nephew really enjoys! It also has a seat belt which came in handy when my nephew decided to start standing up on the footrest. On top of all the great features, it's truly a sharp looking, attractive trike. I'd buy it again, and I'd highly recommend it!

The company is great with their customer service!! I've contacted them a couple times -once to recommend they have some kind of cover or cap over the screws on the seat (which they said was a great idea and would forward my suggestion). The other time was because a nut on the frame apparently fell off during use -they're sending me additional bolts and nuts. Also, they clarified how to extend and retract the foot rest -very easy to do once you know how!
