All the Holgate toys we own are such fine quality, and this one is no exception. The paint and finish are flawless, the wood perfectly smooth, the designs expertly and carefully applied. He moves about easily and feels solid. I don't think this is a toy that will ever break. These toys are so well made that when my kids outgrow them, I won't hesitate to put them away for the next generation. I think they'll effortlessly last even longer than that (one of my dad's old Holgate toys still looks brand new almost 60 years and 3 generations later).
Of course, the best part is that they are made in the USA, right in Pennsylvania, out of local hardwoods, using US-sourced paints and finishes.
Lastly, the price listed here is double what the company sells this toy for. I'd check with the manufacturer's site. Their shipping isn't cheap (though it is speedy), but they have the a great selection, and their toys are fairly priced.Egg Tumbler Wooden Pull Toy Made in the USA
My grandson loves wheels and round things so this was a hit with him. I purposely was looking for a NOT plastic and battery powered toy, but a good 'old fashioned' wooden toy. He is one and is now starting to pull it; before this he would put the egg on and take it off again; the toy is well constructed and colorful, very smooth. Just what I was looking for.

This egg tumbler (and all of the other Holgate toys we own) is an extremely high quality wooden toy! It is made in the USA and is simple and fun. Sometimes it is difficult to find toys that don't require batteries. This toy is entertaining for my 14-month-old but doesn't make annoying electronic noises. He has been playing with it since he was 1. He doesn't quite get the concept of pulling it behind him, but he loves to watch me pull it. He also likes playing with the egg, chewing on it, and playing with the string. We have wooden toys from another company (Melissa and Doug) and they just haven't held up as well. The paint is chipping off of the Melissa and Doug toys, but the Holgate toys look pristine (even though my son has chewed on them quite a bit!)! I will definitely be purchasing more Holgate toys in the future. I agree with the other poster though, check the pricing on their website before ordering here, it is probably much cheaper (around $11 instead of $18 listed here!).Read Best Reviews of Egg Tumbler Wooden Pull Toy - Made in the USA Here
