Little Tikes Jungle JamboreeTM Tiger 2-in-1 Piano

I bought this for my 5 and 16 month old sons. I am not disappointed with this xylophone. Hopefully, they will enjoy for many years to come.

While the idea is good for this product the actual music scale is wrong which completely negates any educational value of this toy. Attached music sheets and common sense imply that the scale of this toy should be C major. However instead of note E chinese manufacturer made it E-flat, so you get a melodic C minor instead, so attached music sheets are useless since you cannot re-tune any of the notes, and usefulness of the toy is greatly reduced.

Fisher-Price Little People Disney 2 Pack: Rapunzel and Tiana

I was disappointed to find that Tiana doesn't talk, only plays the music and Rapunzel is very hard to work. I have to push HARD and wiggle her around. No way my daughter can do it.

My daughter loves the castle and all the figures, but apparently fisher price's mold for rapanzel is off because she thinks she is Ariel most of the time. If you turn her just the right way she will say rapunzels lines. This is a great disappointment to me as my daughters favorite character is rapunzel.

While I love the classic princess dolls, I am glad to see that they included a set with the two newest princesses. A bit spendy online, so I would check out your local stores first before you purchase. I was able to get each set for $6.99. Nice and durable toys and I know they will last for years of abuse.

Tiana and Rapunzel Little People are sturdy enough for the kind of abuse given by toddlers at play and other youngsters. There are other Disney Princesses available as Little People, and they generally come in twos like this set.

My 14-month-old likes picking them up and putting them back down (sometimes in her Poppin' Dino, although we wish she wouldn't). They're cute. We like that they seem to be reaching out to hold hands.

Compared to other Little People, such as our Wonder Woman/Batgirl set, their bottoms do feel a little harder and less friendly to little hands--I assume this has something to do with them being made to fit into the Little People Disney Princess Castle, but I'm not sure why it would be necessary.

I bought this toy for my son which is our third child. Trust me there are enough toys in the house already (many of them girl toys from his sister) but I still thought it was worth it! As a special education teacher of young children, I regularly use the basics (ring stackers, shape sorters, balls, books, blocks) as they have undeniable educational value. I felt this toy was a great addition to my collection as it offers so many opportunities to talk and interact with a child while teaching basic concepts and language skills. You can match the the bugs to the outside flower color or to the color on the inside base of the flower. Great put and take play but so much more so than with a bucker that gets filled and dumped with this toy, you develop vocabulary and science skills with dumping, dropping, rolling, jiggling (and flinging off the flower) and most of all peek-a-boo with hiding the bugs under the leaf that flips up. If your kids aren't the type who put the pieces all back with the toy and place it carefully on the toy shelf, you can always substitute another small toy in place of the bugs until they turn up. Watching a child play with this offers ways to interact with them hiding and finding the bugs teaches problem solving and memory. Sometimes toys are hard for me to talk about as we play driving toy cars around, for instance, or trains on a track, I get kind of stumped, but with this kind of toy I can keep talking uh-oh, where did it go? there it is, get it! good job! Sometimes you don't realize that kids are learning unless you really look, and then you realize they become frustrated trying to hold three bugs because they only have two hands and have not yet figured out what to do about that. Or they are trying to hold three bugs AND lift up the leaf to hide one of them, and again they are short an extra hand. This too is learning and problem solving! I don't have much use for so-called educational toys that require the child to press buttons and practice the alphabet, for example. It's nice but it doesn't replace interacting with objects, and even more important, with people! So choose a toy like this instead (and sit on the floor and play with them!)

I bought this for my 8-month-old daughter. She loves to have a "buggie" in the flower pot and make it swing back and forth. And, of course, she is teething, so she likes to chew on the plastic bugs (which are way too big to be a choking hazard)! I can see that as she gets older, she will be able to play with it more. My 2-year-old son thinks it's pretty fun, too!

This Lil Jiggle Garden looked so cute so I just had to get it for my daughter. I learned pretty fast that the entertainment is short lived with this toy. There are the 3 flower balls to play with but not much else. On the bright side, it is small and does not take up too much space. But unfortunately it ended up just being another toy easily forgotten in my daughter's room.

Well made and nice little carrying case, my 4 year old loves The Incredibles, Monsters inc., TS, and Nemo so this was a no brainer for bath play time. Just be sure to squeeze all the water out after bath and occasionally use a water vinegar mix to clean out the insides so you protect from and mold growth.

My son is 20 months old. This bath toy pack is of all his favorite character at the moment. The only problem I have is that when he's done with his bath he doesn't want to leave them in the bathtub. Instead he wants to bring them into his room to continue playing.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the quality of this drum. I realize it is a child's toy, however you may as well be beating on a wood floor for the sound that it delivers. The art work on it is colorful & cute. Certainly not worth the price, as far as I'm concerned.

Lil Characters Unisex-baby Infant Dragon Costume

This brand does not size the way that other brands do. My son is 27 inches and 17 lbs, 12 oz. He wears 9 months in Carters and 6-12 months in Baby Gap and Old Navy. However, he is positively swimming in this small. It was so big and oppressive that he started screaming as I was putting it on for size. This will be going back. This costume is absolutely adorable! The costume opens-up for easy diaper access and all of the body parts can be taken off, should your little one dislike the hood, wings or feet. The fabric is nice and light and very soft~ with a silky inner lining. The costume is true to size but also leaves plenty of room for a long sleeve shirt, pants, etc. My 7 month old son doesn't like to overdress (he doesn't like hats, bulky sweatshirts, etc.) but I tell you, when I put this costume on him he laughed and crawled about, not letting me get my hands on him to take it off! I, eh hemweLOVE this costume!

HABA Little Bird Pacifier Chain

Let me start by saying that I'm a huge Haba fan. I've been buying Haba products since my 7 year old son was a baby and now I have twins that still use some of my sons toys. My twins have several pacifier clips and the Haba ones are their favorite. One of my twins uses pacifiers, the other sucks her thumb but she still loves playing with and chewing on the Haba pacifier clips! We have a few wooden Haba pacifier clips that my twins love chewing on these are great for daytime use. I found that the wooden pieces made me uncomfortable (and I'm sure the babies!) at night. I'd assume that if my 9 month old girls rolled onto their tummies to sleep that they would end up with an uncomfortable wooden piece poking into them. That is why I bought this one. It is very soft and works great for a night time pacifier clip! The only thing I dislike slightly is the rubber loop at the bottom that is used to attach to the pacifier. I actually prefer the string loop on the Haba wooden pacifier chains. Maybe it's just a personal preference but, some pacifiers seem a little tricky to attach. Of course, it's not a big deal once the pacifier is on there... that's why I still gave this 5 stars. I love it! Super cute too. My twins "talk" to the bird and we get a lot of compliments about the chain.

Bright Starts Teether, Assorted Colors, 3M 3 teethers

I have an earlier version of this set--only the red square seems to be the same, but the changes to the other shapes are minimal.

This set of small teethers is good. They're easy for even a young infant to hold and offer good teething surfaces (especially the square--those corners!). They don't seem to hold the chill for very long after they come out of the refrigerator. But that's okay, because the cold seems to be less important for teething relief than the shape of the teether. And these have good shapes.

We have a whole bunch of this type of water-filled teether in the refrigerator, ready to go, for our eight-month-old. We did the same for our now-toddler when he was young. Please note that these teethers are best for front teeth. By the time your toddler is cutting molars, she'll need a harder teether to get relief--and it'll have the be shaped differently (with long "fingers") than these so it can reach the back teeth.

If you're looking for other sets of easily-manipulated cool teethers, try Infantino's Ocean Teethers or the flower teether from this Bright Starts set or any from this set. The favorite (unrefrigerated solid soft plastic) teether in my house, by far, is the Discovery Toys Super Yummy Teether.

Bottom line: A good basic set of cold teethers for an infant.

Alex Jr. Mix 'n Max - Max

My son was given this toy as a gift and immediately feel in love with it. He's been playing with it since he was about 5 months and is now 8 months. My son loves "Alex". He loves the textures, the crinkly sounds the legs make and the big friendly face. I was thinking about going online to review this with a 5 star rating until yesterday. My son was playing with this in my bedroom as I was getting dressed. He's teething so anything and everything ends up in his mouth including Alex's foot. When we left the room, we threw Alex on my bed and left. When I came hom from work there was a huge circle of red dye on my sheets where Alex's foot was sitting all day. This freaked me out I could care less about the fact that my sheets just got ruined, but if my son's saliva on that red fabric caused that much dye to leak on my bed how much dye got into his mouth??

This toy was okay for my sonhe liked the teethers on the ears and tail but did't really find it that fun to play with. Maybe for a younger baby this would be great (my son was 12 mo old). This has since been retired from his toys because he doesn't play with it and also because it didn't wash up well. I washed it in cold water on the delicate cycle and let it air dry. The felt in the head pilled pretty badly.

Our 9 month old got this for Christmas from Grandma this year. This toy was the first one opened at the big family gathering, and he was barely interested in anything else the rest of the evening! He chased it around for at least an hour. As of yet, he isn't quite understanding that he needs to push the turtle to make it go. He just bats it around with his hands and follows it everywhere. He laughs when we push the turtle and make the Cheetah bump into him. I will say that this toy does seem to have a little trouble gliding on carpet, but ours still rolls, just not as quickly or easily. I think this toy is well worth the price for the hours of entertainment your child will get out of it!
