Fisher-Price Grow With Me Sit-to-Stand Scooter - Pink

We just purchased 2 scooters for our 2 and 3 year old girls. I wanted scooters that had 2 wheels in front and one behind since they are a little more stable and they are less likely to trip on the single wheel in the back. Overall, the toy is pretty good, but I like the Radio Flyer My First Scooter better if you are only interested in having a scooter. This one also has the ability to be a ride along toy, so you get two in one if you buy it early enough. We have plenty of similar ride on toys, so we only wanted it as a scooter. You cannot easily switch between the scooter and rideon because you have to do something to the handle and turn the wheel over (requires a screw driver).

In watching my girls ride them both, the radio flyer is more stable. The foot area of the Flyeris a little wider in the front so it is easier to put their feet on and the wheel in the back is a little more narrow so less tripping. This one has a longer foot riding area and it has slightly taller handles so if your child is older or taller, it might be a better choice. The handle on this scooter wiggles which I don't like, but my kids wiggle it to move around a little and to get going down hills. For a family that needs two scooters that are similar, but different it is an excellent choice. Or if you are buying it early enough so you can use it both ways it would be good. But, if I could only have one, I'd get the radio flyer My First Scooter. Just my opinion. You are certainly entitled to your own.

The price was amazing. The colors are vibrant. It is so easy to put together. Our 15month old granddaughter sat on it and stood on it, but as yet has'nt scooted on it, but just the sitting and standing was fun to watch. It converts easily , so as she gets the hang of it......... it really will be a 1,23 scooter!!!

We purchased this because in theory it is a great concept -eliminates the need to buy a number of vehicles for your growing toddler. Large wheels and sturdy design all looked attractive.

The big problem is the extremely wide turning circle. Steering is limited to the point that you need a small warehouse to use the product without having to pick the scooter up and move the scooter around. This causes unnecessary frustration in what should be a basic and fun toy. As a result, our toddler prefers riding her much older brother's PlasmaCar. The wide front wheelbase is also a bit difficult for her to drag around and it seems like there would be a better diesng in this

The steering feels extremely flimsy and has a bit of stiction, but our toddler doesn't complain about those aspects.

For the price I was expecting a much more solid and usable product.

My Twin girls who just turned two, got these as a gift. I'm using them as ride-ons for now. I find them very durable & very quiet. Which is good for me because we have tile flooring through out the house. The only problem I would say I have right now is that my twins are about 20-22lbs and around 31-32 in. tall. I find these as ride ons very big for them. The scooter is very long and they have to sit right up close to reach the handle bars, which then the handle bar is level with there mouth. They have a hard time trying to steer them because they are long but overall they do love them.

Now I followed the instuctions just like they said in the book but for some reason my handle bars are nothing like the picture Fisher Price shows for a ride-on. My handle bars are a lot taller. I looked at the picture from Fisher Price and there is nothing I can do to get my handle bars as short as theres.

They are easy to put together but I do find the handle bars a little loose no matter how tight you get the screws.

Our little 3mo old loves to munch on this and it has held up marvelously. We hand wash it in hot water and squeeze it out then hang by its hat from the towel rack to dry. It's little arms and legs fit perfectly in his mouth and he finds it more comfoting than the pacifier in the car. It also doesn't go as far when dropped in the car seat. A strange recommendation, I know, but I'm planning on getting another.

My son loves anything with flashing lights and music. This toy has both of these things and more! It teaches them shapes, colors, letters and numbers. He's been fascinated with it ever since we got it 3 months ago. He's now 9 months old. We (the parents) still love to play with it! There are so many options and different ways to compose music, so you'll never get bored with it. When you move the animals up and down they make noises in notes going up and down. We always laugh when we move the cat up and down and up and down as we get him to sing "Meow, meow, meow, meow" in high and low ascending and descending notes. It's hard to describe but once you hear it, you'll understand. I agree with the other person that the paint has easily scratched off around the mirror. I also worry that the animal figures moving up and down seem to be getting a little more wobbly the more we use it, but I don't think there are any safety concerns with this toy. I always try to find toys that I can get a lot of mileage out of (that are versatile, creative and will keep his interest for a long time). This toy definately meets those criteria. My son plays with this piano every day of the week! It's definately worth the money and beats any other toy piano currently on the market.

This is one of the few electronic toys I have unqualified praise for.

To teach our children about music at a very early age is one of the best things we can do for them. Aside from the hours of pleasure, learning techniques and pitches will stand them in good stead in later years. This piano has several innovative features which I have not seen on any other children's keyboards. The first (which is a double-edged sword) is that the notes don't go up in tones, but in thirds. Where we would normally see the black notes are the notes in between. This could be confusing as a child starts to learn a standard keyboard, but the advantage is that when babies bash the notes indiscriminately it sounds quite harmonious, playing chords instead of discords. A great relief for parents :-)

The second innovation is the sliders along the top, each with an animal holding an instrument. These work as sliders do in a recording studio, allowing baby to make each instrument louder or softer, or even to play just the saxophone part of each song. This helps them understand how the music is pieced together and to see how recording of music works. Excellent. There is also a spoken word setting, in which the sliders play animal noises, and the note keys say letters and numbers, but this is much less important than the keyboard. A well made, enjoyable, educational toy which will delight your little one for many months

My daughter received the Fisher Price Animal Band Piano as a 1st birthday gift. I was pleasantly surprised with this toy to say the least! After I played with it myself (for a few hours at that!), I realized how innovative this toy was! First, the 4 animals each represent a different instrument (they are pictured with that instrument). You can slide the animals up and down just like a real "mixer". There are 4 pre-set songs and the best thing about this is that you can play along on the piano with the "accompaniment" and the melody will NOT play while you are playing! How cool! On the same lines, with each of the 4 songs, the key changes (including the key represented by the actual keyboard keys) so that you are always playing in tune with the song that is playing! Another amazingly innovative perk that you might not notice until you spent some time with it yourself! Maybe the fact that I myself am a musician makes me a little biased in favor of such a musically creative toy, but my now 18 month old daughter still considers this toy one of her favorites and dances right along with the pre-set songs.

The only negative I can see in this toy is with respect to the lack of clarity of the speaking voice (in ABC/123 mode). I also though it odd that a toy geared toward this age would designate the primate as an "ape" rather than a "monkey" (as most kids this age will identify any primates as monkeys not apes), but that's a minor point.

All in all this toy is extremely enjoyable (both for the adult and the child), innovative, engaging, and fairly educational. The Fisher Price Animal Band Piano is easily one of my top 5 favorite children's toys (both for my daughter and for myself!).

This really is an amazing toy. Our favorite feature is the melody buttons, because the music is pleasant and fun, but not too loud (and it's so cute to see our 15 month old daughter dance around). It's very durable it's been repeatedly stepped on and thrown, and it still works great. I also like it because it actually works like a keyboard/piano, which helps to teach cause and effect. And best of all, it has a volume switch on the back, as well as an on/off switch on the front! I highly recommend this toy.

VTech Splashing Songs Ducky Bath Toy

This toy is terrible. So terrible, that even the duck tries to put himself out of misery by flipping head-down into the water within seconds. That may sound a bit morbid but it actually was a bit depressing to put this thing in the water only to have it capsize, go silent, and just float feet-up while my 1-year-old just stared at it like, "um...what's up with this thing?!".

This toy doesn't DOOOOOOO anything. A lot of the techy toys our son has received seem to be almost too complicated so I thought for sure there was more to this one, I just had to figure it out. Nope, it really just does not do a darned thing. The feet move side-to-side manually so I thought there must be something that makes them move/swim in the water...NOPE.

It is an embarrassment actually. I feel bad that someone spent money on this as a gift. Don't make the same mistake they did!

With this being a Vtech toy, I though it would be great. Unfortunately it was a waste of money. The only thing different the duck does when it is in the water compared to out of the water is sing a different song. And if you get it's head in the water it stops singing and the lights stop blinking. The feet will move from side to side, however it's only when you do it manually. Please do not waste your money.

Do not waste your money. My son got this as a gift and it is pretty cute and works okay out of water. In the tub is another story. it has a sensor yes but it switches off if submerged and you have to keep hitting the button for it to keep playing. My son loved it out of the water but could care less when it came to bathtime. Really dissapointed.

I think the idea behind the book is great teaching young children to count to ten using the Bunnies by the Bay personalities. The execution, however, could have been better. Each number has a character assigned to it and there are the specified number of that character for the child to count. Example: five lounging ladybugs.

A couple of these characters are not so easy to count. One of the "slinking snails" has almost slinked completely off the page. And one of the worms can be seen with its head popping out of one hole and its tail popping out of another, making it at first appear to actually be two worms.

Could anything be cuter than a child in awe of her favorite character? We look on in wonder as our 21 month old watches Elmo on tv with a smile across her face. We brought her to meet the Sesame Street gang at Sesame Place in Pennsylvania, and she literally hugged Elmo for almost 5 minutes. When we bought this huge stuffed toy for her as a surprise, she couldn't stop squeezing and hugging him. Just PERFECT for a toddler who loves this fuzzy red little guy.

The toy has withstood the contant hugging, pulling and mouthing of our two children for almost one year now and it's needed nothing more than a surface cleaning with a damp cloth. Eyes are a bit heavy and clunky, so if your child accidentally knocks their head against Elmo's face, they will feel the bump...kind of a little too hard, maybe they could have made the eyes stuffed plush instead of hard plastic. Other than that, this toy is wonderful, not educational, just so darned cute and cuddly. No batteries required, no parts to lose, just simple, huggable fun.

I really never write reviews, but I have to about this plush toy. My Niece is 1 year old Elmo/Zoe loving girl who has had many different stuffed toys, but never had or seen a Toy that was her size before. When I first gave it to her, she looked at it a little funny wondering what is this big thing and then she noticed that it was Elmo; she broke out into a big smile. When I sat it in her favorite chair she walked over to it, Hugged it, and proceeded to pull it on to the ground "While still hugging it". When it was on the ground, she put her head on its tummy "Still hugging it" and proceeded to fall asleep.

What more appreciation or happiness about a new toy could a child show you. I say this gift is well worth the money and after what my niece did, it has become priceless in my eyes.

Topzy Tumblers (aka "Weebles" in our household) are a favorite with kids, parents, and grandparents alike. These are a great toy for little hands to pick up and the wobbling, rolling path it takes is fun for crawlers and toddlers. However, the music doesn't last very long (only about 15 seconds or so) before it needs to be wound up again to play and the movement of the bunny's head is very slow and barely noticeable. That said, my son loves it and it has survived lots of cuddling and being dragged around by the ears quite a bit.

We bought this for our first baby and she loved it so much that we bought one for our second baby. However the second one broke, the turn key broke just after a few times of winding it. So we bought another one in hopes that it would bring more joy to our second child, however we had the same issue with the third one! Tolo Toys Musical Activity TV

I bought this toy as a back up for one given us by a friend.

Every child is different but ours loves the music, which is, "Its a Small World" without the refrain.

The original toy I have, I had to open up and grease the gears.

The new one could have some bolts tightend to eliminate a loose resonance in the music but anybody with a screwdriver can fix one of these.

This is a small toy and does not require any batteries, which was the selling point for me. I bought it for my 1 year old niece. I just hope she gets to play with it along with her many many other toys.....:/

I'm giving this two stars because the problem may be a one-off. My son received this as a Christmas gift yesterday. I unpackaged it this morning and wound it up and it worked great. My kid loved it, the melody was nice and all was grand. Until I tried to wind it up again. I heard a loud snapping sound and the winding wheel started spinning free. I opened up the case to see if the problem is repairable, but it's not. The gear that attaches the winding wheel to the music box is made from a cheap, flimsy plastic, and all the teeth had snapped off. I have an email in to the toy company to see if they can help me get a replacement part, and if they do I will update my rating to make it more favorable.

Bought this for our 19 month old daughter. She loves placing the characters back on the posts and enjoys pulling it around the house. It does have an option to move the wheels up and down, up so it rocks and doesn't roll, one so it just rolls. I didn't give this 5 stars because I moved the wheels the first time, and one broke off in my hand. Amazon did an amazing job with the return-my husband was handing our package to the UPS person, they said, "well, here is your new one", and handed him the replacement!! Good job, Amazon. Customer Service is key these days!

Gave it as a gift for a first birthday, but think I might get one for my own daughter. Very well made and sturdy. Very fun and colorful too!

Only one of the toy was suction in the set I got, we used it when we go out to bars/restaurant. We place our 5 months old in the clamp on chair and stick the toy on the bar or table. Works great, keep him entertained without having to pick up the toy off the floor every min.

He doesn't show much interest in the cell phone, but likes the rattle and the trumpet as well.

Two of the toys in this set are NOT suction. But, that really does not matter, because the suction is non-existant on the other two. The flip phone is so low it cannot be heard. The two suction toys are great as toys, very entertaining, but would not work without suction for what we wanted them for.

Well, I got this set because it was cheaper than buying in pieces. Despite the reviews I read on the suction cups being not that strong, I decided to buy anyway. And yes the suction cups are frustrating, because my baby is able to lift the toy and throw it on the floor, but these toys are fantastic, they keep his attention and make him laugh especially the phone, when I imitate its sounds:) I think this is a very good price for the quality you're getting.

My daughter is about 7months and loves all of these toys. They are colorful and fun! Also, it is more economical to buy in the gift set than to buy each toy individually!!!! I would recommend this for any curious toddler.

9-piece Fruit Basket Set (Soft)

Lovely soft colorful fruit pieces and a basket to store or tote them around in. The banana can be "peeled" halfway. I love that my youngest child can finally play with some toy food and I don't have to worry so much about him choking on them. I expect them to last longer than those plastic air-filled foods that these are replacing.

Easy to clean and wash, we can pretend to eat it as much as we want and it fits great into the play pots/pans in my daughter's play kitchen. The fact that they are fabric makes it easy to squish them into things for "cooking".

This fruit basket set is a lot of fun, especially for younger children. The pieces are large enough to be safe for toddlers, and are easily integrated with other toys and games for food learning and fun. My daughter enjoys them and feeds her other toys with the fruit! She also loves hanging the basket off her arm and walking around with her basket.

I got very excited about this set when I saw it online because we want our daughter to learn about healthy eating habits, and thought this would be a fun companion to her shopping cart. When the items arrived, I discovered that the pieces are much smaller than I expected, and that the age rating for the product is 3+ years. I ended up putting about half of the pieces away as possible choking hazards for our one year old. The fruits are super cute, as well as the little basket, and I hope she will grow into them when she is a little older and ready to engage in creative/kitchen play. I don't recommend this for under 2 years old, though...

I needed a doll with a lot of hair she can grab onto, she has to hold my hair to fall asleep and I needed something to take the place of that, this was perfect. The doll has A LOT of thick, shiny, soft beautiful hair, she smells good has a sweet face and even smells good. The hair can be taken out of the pony tails and brushed, I'm really amazed how much hair she has and it's not falling out all over the place. The size is a good size so my daughter can lug her around herself. The price is fantastic compared to all the other dolls I've looked at, so if she does totally destroy her hair I don't have to worry about it since I didn't spend a fortune. My daughter has 3 other dolls that she's never really played with, in the 4 days she's had this one it goes everywhere with her she loves it and so do I. HIGHLY recommend this doll.

This is a great doll! I was looking for a nice doll for my 21 month old for Christmas. She LOVES her babies, but I wanted to get one with hair this time. However, since she is so young, I was not yet willing to spend the money for AG or Corolle. I have always loved Melissa and Doug products and this one did not disappoint. The doll has a nice soft body and is the perfect size for tucking under my daughter's arm. She has nice, rooted hair that is shiny and still easy to comb through. It comes out of the pigtails and can be put into braids or another style. Of course, my daughter's favorite part is the included pacifier and that she can suck her thumb. We are hoping she also works with generic baby bottles and other "food" items. Overall, a great doll and a wonderful bargain for the price.

I thought this doll was cute online, but when I got it and it's thumb isn't in it's mouth, it wasn't nearly as cute. I was willing to settle, because it's so cheap. Then I opened the package to look closer and the smell was very strong. It stayed on my hands for a long time after and I couldn't stand it. I didn't think my daughters would be able to play with it all the time having to constantly take that smell. It gave me a headache, so it couldn't be good for them to smell all the time. Spend the extra 10 dollars for a cuter doll without all the smell. I'm returning them.

It's sad because you feel like you can trust the brand Melissa and Doug. This item just doesn't look as good. The hair on it is coarser and not as pretty. There is a big part in her bangs. The clothing materials look like they belong one something you would get at the dollar store. And the other person that talks about the thumb covering the ugly face is dead on.

I recommend taking a pass on this one.

Thomas and Friends Percy Plush Toy

Needed a soft toy not to big for a one year old. His older brother has Thomas so we bought Percy. Great gift.

I bought this for my daughter after she tried multiple times to take her hard plastic Percy toys to bed or nap with her. She loves it! It has to come along with her when she wakes up in the morning and is her lovey at bedtime. She has lots of other stuffed animals and toys but this is the first one she has really been attached to. As a side note, she is literally obsessed with Thomas and Friends with Percy being her favorite.
