Children fall, and we as parents of 3 children have learned this lesson, but this product promotes falls by poor design.
Today I finally got sick of this toy and tossed it in the trash. I refuse to endanger my childs well being for a few seconds of peace and quiet. I have no doubt that its durable and semi-attractive. It appeals to the common consumer trying to save a buck.... But if you actually want a rocking horse that wont put your child at risk of serious injury, this it not it.
I would never, under any conditions suggest anyone, ever buy this product. It needs a less inclined rocking base, or a longer rocking base. Either would prevent such extreme and easy tip overs.

There's nothing wrong with this rocking horse. I expected it to be bigger than it is. My 10 month old isn't comfortable putting his feet where they're supposed to go, it's not that he's too short, it's just awkward for him. He doesn't really like the rocking horse anyway, there's one at his play group that he really likes but this one he could care less about. He gets on for about 30 seconds and gets bored, even with me rocking it for him. It's also uncomfortable for him to make it rock himself. It doesn't really rock forward , it has to rock backward first and he's just not at all comfortable leaning back. The thing that I absolutely hated about this is that you have to put the stickers on yourself and for someone with obsessive compulsive tendencies it's a nightmare. There's 2 patches of grass to put on each side where the child's feet are supposed to go and I just could not line it up right, so the stickers are still in the box and I've been waiting a month for my husband to have the time to put them on.I own this toy and our 20 month old has fallen off of it several times. In fact, today it is going into the trash. The base is not wide enough to prevent tipping from side to side and yesterday she actually tipped off the front of it while rocking. In my opinion, this toy is not safe. My toddler, however, loves to rock on it. If it had a wider base it would be a great toy.I hesitated to get this for my daughter's first birthday but I'm glad we did. It's cute! And it's so low to the floor that if she falls off, it's not a big deal. The stickers were easy to put on for anyone with a little common sense. The handle grips were a challenge. We tried a hair dryer to loosen them up and that made it worse. So we used a little foam soap and they went on just fine, and dried quickly. I have a nice wooden rocking horse that is higher, and I'll save that one until she gets older. So far this is perfect!
