We bought this swing a few weeks ago and my infant loves it. It seems comfortable and though it is big for him, I do like the fit, as he will grow into it and I am not worried about him falling out as I push him in it. My baby girl has loved "Baby Tad" since she was three months old. As an infant they love to watch the lights and listen to the sweet songs it plays. Baby Tad has the sweetest voice and cutest face, which both appeal to baby. Whenever baby is fussy, when I bring out Baby Tad, she just smiles and hugs him. The title says it all: With no volume control and the most annoying voice used to sing the "songs," this toy is a parent's bad dream. Songs are sung too quickly for little ears to understand, and the timbre is often shrill. Avoid this toy at all costs, and please don't give this to others (as ours was gifted to us). The stars are given only because my kid liked to look at the brightly colored monkey.

I dont know why people have a bad opinion about this toy....for the babies inorder to like a toy it should be attractive color, quite loud, short music....this monkey toy has all these features. Also the short and loud music grabs attention of babies who normally has very small attention span. they dont understand any words like 1.5 or 2 year old and above does...babies are babies! they need to play and feel objects. they have all their life to learn things. Let them enjoy their time as babies.... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MONKEY TOY!

Your baby is not going to be happy with a toy phone that obviously looks like a toy. This is the most realistic looking toy phone out there. We had to return the first one that we bought at a brick and mortar because it stopped after a few days.This is probably because of all of the customers "testing" it. The brick and mortar was out of stock so we ordered from Amazon for a few dollars more. The second phone is still working great after a month.You can record your own message to the baby and then lock it so she is less likely to accidentally erase it. It comes with several other messages and will "call" the baby by ringing a few seconds after it is closed. It has two short tunes that I wish were a bit longer. Even if this one would have died quickly we would have kept it for looks alone.

I love this purchase. My daughter has finally stopped trying to take my cell phone now. What a great idea.

From the moment our 16 month old saw it, she loved it. Everytime she sees it she smiles and giggles, sits on the floor with it and starts to push the buttons. We're football nuts in our family, so this was essential. My five-month old enjoys most of her Taggies gear, and this is no exception. This is an excellent, vibrant and fun gym. When your baby is younger you'll be shaking the arch, but before you know it you'll probably see a little foot kicking it. When they are much older you can remove the arch and attach the toys to the edges of the mat. I'm impressed with the design of the Gym and the "fun" factor. The baby seal of approval will certainly be stamped on this gym. The gym is durable and because the toys are attached they will be less likely to be lost in the shuffle so the entire gym can be handed along to another baby. If you want a great baby shower gift (or want to hint for one) this is a perfect choice!

My son loves this play gym! The Boppy pillow and mirror are great for encouraging tummy time. The colors are vibrant and the toys are appealing to my 5 months old. However, it is easy for my son to knock it over as he pulls on the toys hanging above him. Also, the slippery material of the Boppy pillow and underlying mat make it easy for it to slide off the mat when I put my son on it. I have been using a blanket under it to cause some friction so it doesn't slide so easily.

We bought this play gym for our son 2 years ago and I absolutely loved it. The colors are great, the material was easy to clean (good for a baby with reflux issues), and the toys entertained him. My only real complaint was that the arches were fairly flimsy and he could pull them down onto himself when he grabbed a toy. As with any activity gym, it becomes much less useful once your baby becomes mobile. So when our son started crawling we packed it away. We recently got it out for our second child. Unfortunately, within 2 weeks the tubing that gives structure to the arches broke in half, rendering it completely useless. We will keep the toys as they are adorable, and we can still use the mat for tummy time. I contemplated buying another, but for the price I will go with one that seems more stable and likely to last longer.

I really liked the garden theme of this play mat and all the toys that come with it. The major downfall of the play gym is that it is really unstable. It has fallen numerous times on top of my son and now that he's older he pulls it down. I think you can get a better quality play mat for a lot less money.

I love that I can tighten this arch to just about anything and it has multiple joints that allow me to manipulate it's placement while it's attached. My daughter loves it. I've attached it to her swing, car-seat, stroller, highchair and I even was able to straighten it and attach it to her crib. I wish more products as diverse as this one would become available.

I give this product 5 *'s and I recomend it to anyone and everyone w/babies.

This arch has a really secure and easy to use attachment mechanism, and some snappy bal joints that let you position it firmly forward and backward, and even adjust the height. I have owned the cloth covered ones from tiny love also with glorified clothespin ends which don't stay attached very well, and can say that this plastic version is much much nicer. To compare, those arches came with musical wind up mobiles which this doesn't, but who needs music on a mobile when you have an ipod.

The toys on this are fascinating to my 3 mo old twins. They both love the rattly ball attached to the propeller, and love spinning the propeller, though they don't quite know how to pull the ball strongly enough to make the propeller go -but they do try, and grab at the ball all the time. They also gaze through the transparent prismatic " sun" plastic, and one of them loves batting at the spinning ball in the butterfly. The extra hanging toys on the sun, and butterfly are hung on with velcro, so later on you could swap them out with other toys that could loop through. I think though that the propellor will go a long way with mechanical minded babies. One toy so far where I wouldn't change a thing.

My son loved this toy for a couple of months, and it fit nicely on our bouncy seat. As an educator, I appreciated the cause and effect concept this toy developed, and my son thoroughly enjoyed playing with it, but because it is dangerous we felt it deserved 1 star. Recently my 3 month old son was playing with the arch and, the string to the fan became wrapped around his finger cutting off his circulation causing his finger to turn purple. Though I was right next to him and looking at him when this happened, it took me a minute to figure out what was happening because he didn't cry. I just happened to notice he was looking at his finger. I immediately unwrapped the cord, and then he cried. He had a red mark around his finger for 24 hours. I contacted Tiny Love and they replied to my emails quickly and offered me free toys, while they looked into the matter. After 11 days, I have no reassurance that this won't happen to other babies, so I wanted to alert other parents via Amazon. Since this toy is meant to go over strollers and activity seats, parents may not always have their attention directly on the baby. Even though I was right there with my child, I felt we narrowly avoided more serious injury if his circulation was cut off for any length of time.

Kathe Kruse Grabbing Toy, Giraffe

I bought this for my niece for Christmas last year, she was about 4 months old, and it was the first toy she really was able to hold. It has very soft jersey material covering soft stuffing, and it had a nice smell when I received it. Highly recommended!

My youngest LOVES this, he cannot go to bed without it. It has stained a bit after lots of teething done on it's poor ears and head. Overall though it stands up to everything! He carries it around by the neck. Worth the money!

Playmobil 1.2.3 Farmer W/ Tractor

We have a few of the playmobil 123 sets. The tractor is one of our 2yr old sons favorite. He pushes it around the floor and talks to the farmer and the cow. His animals from other sets get to ride in the trailer also. These have been stepped on and thrown across the room and they aren't scratched and so far nothing has broken. He does have trouble hooking the trailer to the tractor. I love how all the pieces are interchangeable with other sets. He has lots of toys but the playmobil sets are the ones he pulls out first.

My 15-month-old son loves this toy, it is durable, yet detailed unlike many of the toys for his age. He loves to take the cow in and out of the tractor and "drive" it all around the house. All playmobil toys are great, but if you are going for durability, Playmobil 1.2.3 is the way to go!

My 5 and 4 year old love Playmobil products, but I was also very hesitant to let my 2 year old play because of the small pieces. Even the figures have small pieces and accessories that are easily removed. I recently purchased this tractor, the mom and stroller, and the animal train and they've been a big hit with my 2 year old. She now has her own Playmobil and can play right alongside brother and sister. The pieces are large and have no small pieces to remove. They're perfect for small hands. I've even caught my older kids getting into the "baby" Playmobil bucket. While Playmobil products are pricier than some of the alternatives, I have no problem with the higher price tag as the quality is fantastic. These toys are definitely the kind of thing you can pass down to future generations.

Where's My Bone Soft Activity Book by Manhattan Toy

This book was a gift from the grandparents and my 6 month old seems to enjoy playing with it HOWEVER, only a few minutes ago I began to smell a Really Strong Gas-like/Chemical Odor and after walking through our entire house I realized that this smell was coming from THIS BOOK after my son had drooled on it. I took a few sniffs because I was in shock and disbelief and am now washing it on a gentle cycle.

Parents should use this item with caution because I cannot imagine what chemical is making the materials in this book smell so awful. I seriously feel like throwing it away just to be safe.

Considering how babies put everything in their mouth I would be careful.

My nine-month-old son loves this book. He enjoyes not only "looking" for the bone but also playing with it. He loves squeaking the dog's nose, lifting the ballon and the dog's mouth. With puffy clouds and other fun things to touch, it's great for tactile development. It's a book he can play with without me reading it to him. The story isn't much but it's lots of fun to play with. It's such a great book I'm buying more to give to friends.

My son is too young to truly enjoy this (3 months old) but he is just now learning to touch stuff, and has given it a little exploratory touch. But I am impressed by its sturdy "handmade" feel that I think I enjoy more than he does, at this point. He'll get there soon enough--he already knows how to turn pages with his feet!

We received Where's My Bone when my son was 10 months old and it was almost an instant hit. He may have been a little young at first, but we still had fun. I think learning and recognizing the pages so they became familiar increased his enjoyment, and by one year this was a favorite game that he wanted to play over and over. The pages have different pockets for hiding the bone (in the fish tank, under the ball, etc.), and there are some textures as well (fluffy fabric cloud, plastic "glass" for the tank). I also use it for color recognition (Which fish is red? Yellow?). Although he's long since figured out that he can follow the string to find the bone, he still brings this book to me for us to play with (he's now 22 months), and will now hide the bone himself for us to find. This has been one of his very favorite toys for a long time!

We got this book together with the bee and the flower book from Manhattan toys. When our son was younger, he didn't care much for these books, but now that he's over 2 and knows his colours, this is much more fun for him. He loves to poke the bone in the various slots on the pages, like the car, water and so on. He also likes to "read" this book to his baby sister. The quality of the book is very good.

Crayola Beginnings Baby Pop and See

I was disappointed when this toy first arrived. I purchased it as a gift for my niece. It had obviously been opened and taped shut before it was sent to me. I returned it to Amazon. The next one arrived open as well. I sent it back and the item was then out of stock. I normally have great experiences with Amazon so this was very disappointing for me.

As far as the toy itself, I was pretty disappointed. I doesn't do as much as I thought it would. I thought the center of each piece would spin when connected, but the colors just become visible. Not that exciting!

my son (now 10months) hardly plays with these things. i thought they were cute and more interesting than the fisher price beads (which we have as well). though they are cute and well made, they don't hold his attention unless i am playing with them. i wish the beads also had different things inside. a few have balls which is neat the others have a piece of paper with colors on them (very boring). i also think this toy would be a lot more fun if you purchased a few sets of them. you can't really do anything with just 5. as where the fisher price toys you can make crowns etc. maybe they will be a fun toy to learn colors with someday. overall, it's a well made, pretty too look at, boring toy.

We bought these for my 1 year old. We gave them to her and for a day or two was playing with them, but now I just find them pushed aside while she is playing with her Fisher Price shape blocks. I would not recommend these at all, they are just kind of boring and she got bored with them faster than any of her other toys. I even showed her how to connect them and take apart. Also we showed her the little inside color band that appears inside it when you connect them. She just gave me a look of "boring!" The only thing she seemed interested in was chewing on the nub part on top that connects them together. I also bought the Crayola Beginnings Slide and See, and she isn't interested in that either. I am pretty disappointed in the Crayola toys.

Large Elmo soft plush doll

Could anything be cuter than a child in awe of her favorite character? We look on in wonder as our 21 month old watches Elmo on tv with a smile across her face. We brought her to meet the Sesame Street gang at Sesame Place in Pennsylvania, and she literally hugged Elmo for almost 5 minutes. When we bought this huge stuffed toy for her as a surprise, she couldn't stop squeezing and hugging him. Just PERFECT for a toddler who loves this fuzzy red little guy.

The toy has withstood the contant hugging, pulling and mouthing of our two children for almost one year now and it's needed nothing more than a surface cleaning with a damp cloth. Eyes are a bit heavy and clunky, so if your child accidentally knocks their head against Elmo's face, they will feel the bump...kind of a little too hard, maybe they could have made the eyes stuffed plush instead of hard plastic. Other than that, this toy is wonderful, not educational, just so darned cute and cuddly. No batteries required, no parts to lose, just simple, huggable fun.

I really never write reviews, but I have to about this plush toy. My Niece is 1 year old Elmo/Zoe loving girl who has had many different stuffed toys, but never had or seen a Toy that was her size before. When I first gave it to her, she looked at it a little funny wondering what is this big thing and then she noticed that it was Elmo; she broke out into a big smile. When I sat it in her favorite chair she walked over to it, Hugged it, and proceeded to pull it on to the ground "While still hugging it". When it was on the ground, she put her head on its tummy "Still hugging it" and proceeded to fall asleep.

He was turning somehow because of the gentle chime sound it makes, but sometimes it was getting him aggravated because it was there when he happened to startle and he was kicking it with his hands getting startled again even more :) I don't like the frog per se, I don't know ... the colors just dont do it for me...SO I have it thrown somewhere in a corner in here.

But now my son is 8 months old, and one morning after he's become impossible to handle during diaper change, I pulled the pelican from his toy basket to distract him from turning constantly. And from that moment it became his absolute favorite "rattle" and chewing toy. It is wet 24/7 either with his saliva or my disinfectant :)

So for those whose babies are still "young", give it sometime....And bring it back around 8 months...If still not interested then its just pure disinterest ... But overall is a great toy. so PLEASE don't give this toy 1,2 or 3 stars just for the simple fact that your baby is not interested in it..Especially after saying that is a great toy overall...Its not the toy's fault that your baby is simply not paying attention to it. Its the baby not the toy....

It chimes, but is not the toy I was looking for. My 3m old loves the chime but is kinda skeptical of the toy.

I thought my daughter (4 months) would love this given how much she loves her Sassy Go-Go bugs, but she really wasn't interested. It is cute and makes a nice chiming sound, but it doesn't seem to have the kind of properties that she's interested in right now: crunchy sounds, lots of things to chew on, etc. She's tried to chew on its feet and wings as well as the ribbons that decorate the body, but had a hard time getting a purchase on anything.

I keep it in the diaper bag to occupy her while changing a diaper on the road, but that's all I use it for.

I gave it 3-stars because it didn't interest my daughter very much, but it is a well-made toy. I have no complaints with the toy itself.

My niece absolutely loves this. She loves to chew on the tags or have different textures to grab all around the entire stuffed animal. Not sure why kids love these so much but they are always a guaranteed hit with the kids.

I recently picked this up from our local Costco for a few bucks less. My 12 month old loves the shape sorter, pushing his ears. We are still working or putting the correct shapes in the right holes. The triangle is cute as well and makes all sorts of fun noises. I guess it teaches cause and effect, but that's about it for the triangle. I favor the elephant just because it teaches shapes and colors. Overall a very good bang for your buck, cute and battery free. Which is key in this house!

I bought this toy mainly because my baby's picture is on the package. It is a good toy. My 18 month old enjoys sorting the shapes and playing with the triangle.

Baby Einstein Busy Bellies - Baby McDonald

My mother in law found this toy at goodwill and purchased it for all the grand babies that come to her house. My son enjoyed this toy so much I had to buy it for him at home. He doesn't have many toys yet as he just started reaching and grabbing, but of the toys we have so far, it is his favorite and thus mine.

In case you aren't sure how it works, the baby grabs the bottom handle and pulls. It winds up a little rattle inside and when the baby releases it, the handle goes back up while the duck shakes. I first thought the handle was a little hard to pull but it seems to be no trouble for my 4 month old.

I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it to you if your baby likes to grab things, which is like every baby.

Update:

So this toy is still one of my son's favorites, in fact he plays with it more than the highly rated Lamaze Freddie the Firefly, which I also got for him. I do need to mention though I think this toy is a hit or miss, probably a hit more often than a miss, but my niece who is 5 months older didn't really catch on to the whole pulling part of the toy where my son does it like crazy. I am still very happy with the toy.

I ordered this for my daughter because I love frogs and she seems to enjoy them. Imagine my disappointment when I opened the box and pulled out a duck. Just be aware that you may not get what you order. Otherwise the product is fine, just didn't get the one I ordered.

My daughter was given the cow as a gift. We raise cows, so it was the perfect gift for her! We hung it off of her carseat so she could play with it on long trips, and she loved it! However, when she was 7 months old and was just starting to get old enough to enjoy the pull string on this toy, it BROKE. The first time she started playing with that feature!

We took it apart to see if we could fix the problem. We got inside the mechanism that makes it vibrate when pulled. The string was only held onto it by a flimsy little piece of plastic, and that plastic broke! There's no way to fix it without replacing the part, but as I don't even know what the part would be called, that's out of the question.

Very disappointing. It's an adorable product, but expect it to break early on . . . .

So, I got one of these and one that was a duck as gifts for my baby. He is 3 months old. The duck we got was already broken (the pull was not working, so the belly didn't vibrate). The frog worked for about a month before it broke as well again it was the pull thing that broke. I pulled it down and it never vibrated back up. Annoying! Especially since they are super cute and my boy loved them. He still enjoys watching them and grabbing for them...

HABA Bear Ahoy

Bought this for my 1year old boy. The bear is the perfect size for his little hands, he loves to chew on the flagpole, and the little cart he loves to take apart(the wheels and axle are attached so the front axle is velcroed on as is the back)No choking hazard! So for the actual intended use of pulling it around we haven't seen that happen, but it does entertain in several other ways. Plus it is super cute and of very high quality. I Love Haba toys for that reason. Plus, there are NO batteries and annoying sounds.

I guess I need to stick to Plan toys....:(

It's cute & my son plays with it once in a while, but I get nervous because he's still putting things in his mouth, and as the title says....it's made in China..
