Bright Starts Lights, Tiger, Action Rattle

This toy was given to us as a gift. My 6 month old had played with it for a month or so, just shaking it and repeatedly putting it in his mouth. Last night, he was chewing on it and started screaming when his saliva reached the battery and it SHOCKED him. It stopped making noises and basically shorted out. This morning, after it had dried out, it works again.

I don't know how to bring this to the attention of the manufacturer, but it hurt my child and should be taken off of the market!

I needed a rattle that not only made noise but lights up suggested by therapist for my daughter. This was all I could find and it is great. Just loud enough, not too loud to scare her and lights up to help her eyes folloow it as well. Great Thank You!

My son gets soo excited when he sees this, but he grabs it and ends up crying because he pinches his fingers in it. Thought maybe it was accident the first time, but after a couple tries, it's obvious that it will not be safe.

Kids Preferred Mama-Baby Turtle Musical

I have been searching for a musical stuffed animal for my two-year-old there are so many available that play either "Twinkle Twinkle" or "Brahm's Lullaby," but I wanted something unique. Was delighted to find this turtle that plays "You Are My Sunshine."

The turtle itself is really cute and cuddly, and winding the baby turtle was easy for my daughter (and avoids the problem of long pull strings and strangling dangers). The music boxes seem to be defective the first one I ordered wouldn't play. After a quick replacement from Amazon, we have one that works, but one of the notes in the music box is severely out of tune. I'm not a musical expert, but it really bothers me to listen to it! Lily loves the turtle, so we will keep it, but I wish I could have sampled several turtles to make sure the music box was in decent shape.

I bought this for my son, because I've been singing "you are my sunshine" to him since he was born. He loves to hear the music and the material is very soft. Well made, I pulled on the legs and bows and they were sewn securely. The eyes are sewn, not buttons.

Schylling ABC Nesting Cubes

When I bought these i had doubts that my daughter would even be interested. Boy was I wrong. She loves these so much that they're basically destroyed. She stacks and knocks them over all day long. We've had to toss a couple of them in the trash because she was also standing on them :o

My son really likes nesting blocks, rather than stacking them. These ones seem pretty durable and haven't been damaged in the few weeks of play he has had with them. I think he could easily step on a box though, which would break the cardboard. The pictures are nice, but not really awesome. A lot of the graphics are repeated from block to block, which is okay... just they aren't the most fantastic graphics. My mother in law has a very old version of this toy with Disney creatures and it is much better ... better construction, graphics, etc.

My son is a tall 1 year old, and when these are stacked, they are taller than him. That seems like it will be really great as he grows, too. I bet he will use this as a stack and kick over toy, so he will probably love it more in the future.

The nesting cubes are ggreat. My daughter loves then. She's a year and loves to play with them. She bites then and you can't even tell so far. I'm sure over time they will, but she has had them for a month and no harm yet. My 11 year old stacks them up and she knocks them down. It will enertain her for a good 30 minutes at a time which is a lot for a baby.

These blocks definitely stnd up to my 17 month old. They are sturdy enough for him to knock around and I like the fact that they have ABCs and 123s as well as colors built into the design to encourage learning. Would definitely recommend.

For the $13 I paid for this product here on Amazon, these were amazing. I loved their 'classic' look. I set them out in the den, and my niece (4 years old) grabbed them right away. She spent a long time figuring out different ways to stack and nest them, and talked with her mommy about the pictures, letters, and numbers. I think these were a steal for the price, and I didn't expect them to last a long time either. I could imagine such a product in durable materials would easily be 4 times more expensive online, and possibly even more in store.

I can see how they might not hold up for a younger child, but a older preschooler is probably the perfect audience for these (in a home setting).

My 7 mo old daughter absolutely LOVES this phone. She was obsessed with my phone so I got her the only toy smart phone on the market. It is a little bulky and is more like a Zack Morris phone than a smart phone. That being said it keeps her entertained and every kid that she comes in to contact with can't wait to get their hands on it. Yes the volume is really low, but if you hold it to your ear (like a REAL phone) the sound is very clear.

I almost passed up on this one because of so many bad reviews. I am so glad that I decided to get it anyway. Great buy!!!

My daughter has several play phones and this is her favorite, one because it looks the closest to mommy and daddy's phones but she loves all the songs it plays. The sound is very low but I love that because she holds it up to her ear all of the time and it is not going to hurt her hearing. Plus, with the volume being low it doesn't drive mommy crazy when she keeps pushing the buttons over and over again.

This phone is ok. My girls love play phones and this one is there least favorite. It isn't very loud and the buttons don't push very well. I didn't find it to be very interactive. I would probably skip buying this phone.

We're a bilingual (english/spanish) family so it's perfect in that aspect. The songs are a little annoying for adults but great for a child. I have 2 year old boy/girl twin grandchildren. I bought the racetrack for my grandson, but I also knew his sister would be playing with it, too, so I bought a couple of extra sets of cars. I feel confident when I purchase toys by Fisher-Price that they will be well made. This one is sturdy and has bright colors. I like how it folds up for storage and has a handle on the top to make it easier for little ones to take to a different location. The car noises are fun, in fact, it was making them when I brought it in from the porch. My one frustration with most Fisher-Price products is they do not package them in a way that will make them easy to wrap and this one is no exception.

This is a great toy! He uses the rest of his Little People wheelie cars on it in addition to the race cars that come with it. He likes to "race" the cars and to angle the bottom of the ramp up to "jump" them into things. He also loves exploring all the nooks and crannies where he can store and wedge cars in the frame of the ramp. It closes up and can be carried with a handle, at least in theory. My only complaint is that it doesn't stay shut so my son can't can't carry it himself. The closing latch could use a bit of a redesign. We also have the 2ft tall wheelie race ramp and this little one is much better than that.

My son received the Cars version of this toy for his 2nd birthday last month (came with Lightning and Francesco). He absolutely loves it! He can race not only the cars that came with it and other wheelies, but his Tonka wheel pals and and Animal wheel pals (by Playskool maybe) also work. He has a ton of fun racing and we'll play together where I'll pick my car or animal and he'll pick his and we'll race. It folds up for easy storage and has a handle for carrying it around or taking to Grandma's house. Plus you can fit more wheelies than just the two in the storage "garage" for transport. It's strong plastic and very durable, I haven't had any problems with it and would be surprised if it broke. It's a great toy.

We bought this toy for our 18-month old son. Now that he's almost two, he likes to play with it even more. Even older kids like to race two cars against one another and see who goes the farthest. This toy is great, because, unlike some other race track toys, it folds up quite compact and doesn't take up a lot of room. With a handle and a storage area for at least 6 cars, you can take it anywhere. A variety of other vehicles can go on the track too. Our son even pretends it is a large slide for his stuffed animals. We would definitely recommend this toy.

My son is hard to buy toys for because his favorite objects are every day items, card board boxes, books and magazines, kitchen itemsthings that "adults" use. Which makes since for any baby because they need to learn about the world around them. I believe that this toy would be great for a more mellow baby that sits still long enough to explore the buttons and is not interested in how things mechanicly work (hinges, springs, sliding cabinets, turning over rugs). Cute toy but my boy doesn't have the patience for more than 30 seconds with it. I did give it high marks for durability as it has been dropped from the pack-n-play onto the floor for a variety of physics tests he likes to do.

I bought this toy for my 8 month old. He likes the music and to push it along with him when he crawls. The lights and music keep his attention. It seems fairly durable and rolls easily.

My daughter received both this and the snail exactly like this as gifts at approx 14 months of age. She likes to push cars. Initially she liked these but now they are boring to her. The bottons don't really do much and the same song plays over and over again, and she toys that do a lot more/play a wider variety of melodies, (which are actually less expensive) that have kept her attention. Both the turtle and the snail have been dropped and thrown and are still in great condition so I feel they are pretty durable.

These blocks are great! I wanted a wooden set b/c I figured them would last longer than the cardboard ones...especially with a toddler stacking and restacking them about a million times. I was so excited about this photo book for my little one. The second picture is not a photo of this book at all! Very misleading. I thought this book was a little more expensive than other baby photo albums but that the extra interactive qualities and the sweet sentiment pictured made it worth the extra cost. I was certainly disappointed. It's fine as a baby photo album; I was just expecting more.

The doll is very cute, and my little one has a blast playing mommy while in the tub. But good luck squeezing all the water out when the bath is over. Nearly impossible. And the worst part? There are 2 little holes at the bottom of the back of the doll's head, so the head ends up with water in it too. Her head is hard, not very squishy, so it breaks your hand to squeeze that water out. I just know if I could see inside her head (and probably body) I'd be horrified at the mold and other ick growing because of the bit of water left each time. IMPOSSIBLE to get it all out. Don't even want to think of the health issues from mold etc growing inside this doll. Absolutely idotic. Why would they make this doll so you cannot EASILY get all the water out and dry her out? Now I can't get her away from my child, either. Great. I'd definitively look for a completely one piece bath doll if that's what you're looking for.

I really liked this doll. When it is filled with warm water, it feels real and my girls like to cuddle her. The bath tub is fun too. Just put it in a sink or tub and let you kids give her a bath. Than dry her with her little towel.

I left water in for extended amounts of time and have no issued with mold or anything like that.

Megabloks 80pc Lrg Mega Bloks Bag

We have two children, 4 and 2, and originally got these for the younger one for his first birthday. Even then, he could use the blocks a bit because they are easy to put together. In the year and a half since then, they have steadily become the most-played with of all our kids' toys and show no sign of losing popularity. Both kids love to play with them so much that we've realized it's time to get a bunch more so they won't have to share as much (and I can build even taller towers).

These blocks don't stick together as tightly as Legos, but that also means they're easy for kids to take apart, which is often what they love doing. They've been quite durable, and the storage bag has even held up well for being used so much. The stitching is starting to come apart around the zipper, but what can you expect for being used almost every day for over a year?

My son recieved this when he was one, but did not play with it much. I took it back out of the closet when he turned two and now it has become one of his favorites. He is starting to name colors (which this is perfect teaching tool) we also use it for color matching/association. Then there is the good old fashioned I-build-it-and-you-knock-it-down fun! The blocks are easy for a toddler (and infant) to grasp and build with. It has been a wonderful confidence builder in my son who now claps (for himself) when he thinks he is done building. I love that there are eyes as part of the set. It makes making animals fun and enjoyable for all. The bag has held together well for reusable storage. The best part is I can now get things done while he plays for at least a half hour with this!

We picked up this set as well as a 40 pc set from local stores and our son, who is 18 months old loves stacking them and then taking them apart.

We also have two other small sets that he got for his 1st birthday and all 150 pieces will fit into this 80 piece bag, which is very nice for storage.

Keep an eye out for prices though. We picked up this 80 piece set with a $5 dollar off coupon at Baby's r Us for a total of $12. The 40 piece set at Toy's r Us was $10.

I love Amazon but the $45 price tag I see on this set today is a bit ridiculous.

Who doesn't remember playing with Lego when they were a kid? I know I spent many hours and beyond making worlds with mine in my youth and naturally want my own son to have the same fun. With Lego Quatro being discontinued, we opted to start him off with Megabloks. On one hand these are great. They are big enough that even a young toddler can handle them with ease. They are also easy to put together and take apart. Unfortunately, they are far too easy to take apart as my son quickly became frustrated when his towers would consistently fall over. Being not quite two he's really in that stage where he just wants to build towers, and that is hard with these blocks as they don't lock together at all, but rather just "sit" on top of each other.

As much as I wanted to like these, I have already had to put these away and replace them with Lego Duplo. The Duplo lock together nicely and my son can finally build the towers he wants. A younger child might have problems using Duplos (putting them together and pulling them apart) though and so these Megabloks would still be the best option in that case. Just be aware that the "play span" of these may be disappointingly short.

I'm extremely happy with the blocks themselves however, the title said this was an 80 piece block set and wheel base. There were not wheel bases included. If you are trying to find wheels, this is not the kit for you!

Taggies 8" Developmental Baby Doll, Blue Boy

I had a hard time finding an appropriate doll for my little boys, and this was perfect.

It is just the right size for a baby to a 3 year old, it is soft and huggable, and is has survived the baby chewings. We like it a lot.

We have the Taggies blankets and our 15 month old b/g twins love them. We saw this doll (bought the pink one, too) and thought they would just love it. They absolutely do! The only downfall I've noted is that the "stuffing" was coming through a seam around the back of the hat. Gently pulled the loose stuffing through the seam and haven't seen any since!

Baby Starters Plush Snuggle Buddy Blanket

We currently have 3 of the Mary Jane Bunny and 1 of the baby dolls. My daughter received the bunny from a family member when she was born. When she was about 3-4 months old and started sleeping much more on schedule we'd put her down with the bunny since she loved playing with it while awake. I figured it would help her self soothe. Boy did it ever! She LOVES that bunny. She has this with her for EVERY nap and bedtime and I bring it with us to the pediatricians office as well to help soothe her after shots.

I lay her down in her crib and she immediately grabs for the bunny and falls asleep hugging it. As anything made for babies, this will get slobbered on, spit up on, and get dirty. No big deal, it's machine washable! I'm so glad I found these on Amazon. I decided to order 2 more; 1 to rotate in when the other needs to be washed, and another one in reserve in case something happens to one of the other ones. I also thought the baby doll was adorable so I ordered one of those as well. She likes the baby doll but she *definitely* loves the bunny more.

This doll is so cute and the skirt is made of the softest material. It is a very sweet doll for all ages. She's also machine washable. I totally recommend it!
