Finn + Emma Wooden Boy's Play Gym

It's very cute, easy to assemble, but not entirely true that it's made in Peru. Parts are made in India, Peru, and the wooden arch is made in China. I was disappointed as I was trying to avoid this.

This is an adorable play gym, but for the price, I was a little disappointed in the condition it arrived in. The gym was in in multiple pieces, which was to be expected, but was packaged in a far too big box. The only thing protecting the individual pieces of the gym from bumping into/scratching each other was a thin plastic sleeve. They could have added some ecofriendly packing paper to keep the pieces from bouncing around. Also, some of the edges are a little unfinished/rough. I don't expect it to be bad enough to cause splinters, but for the price, you really think you'd get a more finished/better packed product.

Infantino Tap and Go Musical Drum

This little "drum" was a gift for my 5 month old daughter who was getting into slapping things with her hands. She loves it. I love it. The great thing about it is it has a soft pillow top and sides, but the weird thing is, it doesn't actually play drum noises. It plays two tunes in piano. The cool thing is, it responds to the slightest tap, has a low and high setting and an off switch. Each tap gives you a note and they create a song that way. It's a lot of fun, my husband and I both enjoy it :) I recommend it for a young baby. Even if they chew on it, it's fine because it's soft.

my son doesn't love it. He will pick just about any toy over it. We got this because, at 6 months, he loves to bang on things. I think he passes this toy over, however, because it IS so sensitive to the slightest touch, as another review states. There's no "cause and effect." Also, I do not see how this toy can roll to promote crawling. The sides are not firm enough.

Cute and Soft for my boys first drum. He can gently tap it and it makes a noise to his delight. It does get kind of annoying especially since it plays actual songs but obviously your baby isn't going to hit the drum in rhythm. But in MHO all toys that make noise are annoying.

My son got this when he was about 6 months old and he liked it. The drum is all cushioned so it is soft and they won't bang their head on it. It is a good size to put in front of a baby learning how to sit up by themselves.

Even though the package said to sanitize before use do not boil to do that. We boiled it to sanitize and the toy melted and got the gel inside all over everything. It is now garbage and we are out the money. Not something I would recommend to anyone.

K's Kids Inchworm

We received this "inchworm" for our baby girl just before she was born. When she was about 4 weeks old, I started bringing it out as a toy for her to follow and turn her head. She was entranced the bright colors and the great smile, she loved it. As she has grown she has become more intrigued with it pulling on the antennas to get them to rattle, hugging it and of course putting the little feet in her mouth. She still loves the smile and enjoys staring at it. She also likes the mirror on the back, but the face and antennas are her favorite.

I highly recommend this as a great first toy. Its simple and yet perfect for the first few months of your little one's life:) I'm really impressed with the quality of the product too.

I think my 3 1/2 year old and I love this more than our baby.

Got it for him when he was 3 months old. He is 9 months now and barely goes to it. At first it was possibly a nice thing to chew on, but he has other toys and objects that he prefers. The mirror quickly ruined. Its permanently fogged up. Not sure what happened there. The squeeky sound in the head is nearly impossible for my older son to manipulate with his small hands. It seems fun to wrestle...thats what I would do if it was my size. I will be passing this on in hopes some other baby will appreciate it more.

We've used this toy to keep our baby entertained, not for going to sleep. She likes the music and the light flashing on and off. We have the glow sea horse for bedtime, that's a lot more soothing that this.

This is so cute, and I loved it when my Mother-in-law gave it to my son for christmas, but it doesn't sooth him AT ALL! The lights are way to bright, and flash rapidly, and the music is too loud. It actually wakes him up in the middle of the night if he happens to roll on it.

I bought this elsewhere, but I wanted to get the word out not to buy this. I've had it a couple of months and it already doesn't work. It stops playing music after just a few seconds and doesn't light up at all. When it did work, the flashing lights were way too bright and the "lullabys" were too loud and not in the least soothing. You can't control the brightness or the volume. It is at least cute, so I left it is the crib for something for my daughter to look at. Don't bother!

My 4 1/2 month old LOVES this toy. It is well made, very soft and the arms/feet/ears and material in general is great for chewing/sucking. It has two sets of velcro straps which helps us strap it to just about anything. This is perfect for daytrips in the car and is small enough and convenient to go in the diaper bag.

However, like the other parents, I tried this in her co-sleeper the past two nights and it is WAAY too bright and loud for night time. The flashing light is perfect in the day but at night is more like a strobe light and too intense for her little eyes. During the daylight hours, she smiles like crazy and loves it. She doesn't smile at it at all when it's dim and actually looks a little alarmed and over-stimulated.

As a toy, FIVE STARS. As far as the name "Crib companion soother lullaby" TWO STARS. Not for bedtime. I am going to order the seahorse like recommended.

K's Kids Hungry Pelican in Bath

This is a really cute bath toy which my 1 1/2 year old daughter loves. However, I'm not as crazy about it as she is. It is much smaller than it looks. The little sea creatures are about an inch long, and my daughter thinks it's so funny to "eat" them, just like the pelican does. They fit entirely in her mouth which is scary. The pelican fills with water in every crack and crevace, and takes forever to drain out. All the water in it makes it really heavy. Too heavy for her to handle. Also, the "rear" of the bird has a hole that lets the sea creatures fall out as soon as she (finally) gets them in the mouth. Very discouraging. I have taken the pelican out of the tub and put it away since she doesn't even play with it. I have to watch her like a hawk with the little critters. There is a K's Kids Pelican that is not a bath toy that is the same thing only LARGER and plush. I have this and I think it is a much better toy, and is almost the exact same thing. Get the plush one.

My 8mo old son absolutely loves this toy! He got it for Christmas when he was 6mo and always wants to play with it over his other bath toys. The only problem is it's way too heavy for him to hold still. He likes chewing/kissing the pelican mouth and the little toy fish/crab/shrimp/octupus are perfect for his teeny hands. Best bath toy we have!

When we squeeze the handle, the birds mouth closes instead of opens, and when we let go of the button the mouth just half hangs open. so in order for the pelican to fit any of the little guys in his mouth, we basically have to trap them against the edge of the tub with his mouth and shove them in. They also fall out the bottom the very second they are eaten. My kids don't play with this at all, once they discovered the pelicans mouth doesnt open enough to easily eat the toys. I love the colors and think it looks very cute, but it's useless.

WARNING: This review was made when the toy was about twenty bucks. I noticed today that it's listed for more than sixty. No way is this worth that much.

Pros:

plays a nice tune when it's pulled

colorful metal notes

tones are pleasant

seems pretty durable so far

Cons:

string on the wand is laughably short (so much so that you can't actually use the wand on some of the notes)

metal notes are just a little too narrow because of the plastic knobs holding them in place; forces the player to be pretty accurate in their aim to get a clear tone, and a toddler just isn't

Find a heavy shoelace and lengthen the string by several inches. If you're worried this would be a strangulation hazard, then plan to either take the wand off entirely, or have a frustrated child whenever the wand jerks short when they try to use it to hit the notes.

My daughter loves this toy it sounds a tune when she pulls it and she loves to make her own music. One thing I would have liked is for the pull cord to be longer. No bells and whistles, just an old fashioned toy that still brings joy to the little ones!

The only issue that prevented it from recieving 5 stars is that we feel the cord holding the stick is too short. If the cord was only 4 to 6 inches longer it would be easier for the child to use.

We love this xylophone. My husband and I have spent a lot of time playing with it (our daughter is too young yet). The tone is much better than I expected. One note is very slightly out of tune, but not enough to notice unless you compare it with another instrument. We can play "Mary Had a Little Lamb," "Joy to the World," "Three Blind Mice," and numerous other songs with the limited number of notes.

My only gripe with the product is that the cord from the xylophone to the stick is too short. I'm sure it's that way due to safety concerns. However, it's very difficult to play the instrument with that cord length. We simply replaced the cord with a longer one, and are very happy with that choice.

This xylophone's cord which connects the stick is insanely short. So short that it makes the playing the end notes impossible. The manufacturer never tried to actually use this thing. Plus it's overpriced for what it is, better alternatives out there.

My grandson LOVES this toy and has used it for almost a year and it is still in PERFECT condition. He started using it at 5 months and is still loving it at 15 months. There are so many things to do with this toy and he keeps finding new ways to play with it. I highly recommed it.

This is a great toy, really!!! However, I don't use it much at high-chair because my son (since 6 months) easily can take it off. Anyway, my baby plays with it in his playyard and on the carpet!!

Imaginarium Wooden Stacking Train

My 16 month old son received this in his 2013 Easter Basket. He absolutely loves it, so much in fact, that he actually runs after the pieces, picks them up and returns to his playstation, if they accidentally hit the floor. He loves constructing a train and moving them around. When we first presented it to him he was a little overwhelmed with all the pieces so we gave him just a portion of the train and a few of the pieces until he got the hang of it then introduced the rest of it to him later. Great wooden toy to have in your toybox.

This is such a cute little tea set. A friend of mine bought this for my daughter's first birthday. It is a perfect first tea set. Like the other reviewer mentioned, it is not meant to be used with liquids which is perfectly fine with me! Less mess! The teapot is the cutest part... there are three different settings: one that just has cute sounds when you "pour" the tea, when you lift/close the lid, and when you press the "tag". The other two settings have various sounds or music and songs that go along with the actions. My daughter is only 12 months old, so pretend play is still somewhat of a foreign concept to her. But we have fun exploring all the sounds the pot makes. She likes to "cheers" the tea cups with me, and she will "take a sip" from the cup and go "Ahhhh" at the end. I imagine she will grow into this toy a little more in the next few months!

UPDATE: Still a favorite toy at 27 months! She sings along with the teapot, and will set up all of her stuffed animals and offer them tea. It is just too cute. We have other tea sets, but she still gets this "pot" to pour since it makes all the sounds!

What a wonderful toy for any child! We bought this play set for our two year old grand daughter. What fun she has with it. The teapot is very durable and plays music, teaches manners, shapes, all in a delightful English accent. When you pour from the pot you can hear the tea coming out. Or -you can shut the pot off and let your child use their own imagination. Which Paige does! She walks around 'watering' my plants and 'refilling the dogs water dish' with her tea pot. The tea pot has a sweet little face and comes in the favorite colors of many little girls, purple and pink.

Also included are two purple tea cups which do not hold water. And that is OK! Who needs the mess?

There is also a charming little plate with three desserts included. They are in three different shapes so little ones can learn how to place them correctly on the pink plate. Paige enjoys 'serving' us each a dessert or we have found them sitting on the kitchen table placed at everyone's seat. Learning can be fun!

This is a sweet little tea set for any little girl who will be learning while having so much fun. Must go! Time for another tea party!

I got this for my 18 month old daughter for Christmas. The first one we got was defective. One of the modes didn't work at all. So we got a replacement directly from FP. The new one worked but for some reason the voice was more "sped up". I don't know why this is. None of the stores have it sped up. But on to the toy.

The construction is good. My daughter has thrown it around a bunch and it still works fine. I like that it has "please and thank you's" included. Not very many toys teach these kind of things. I guess I wouldn't say it teaches it, it more reinforces it.

My daughter plays with it very occassionally. Mostly she just plays the music with the button. It is pretty limited in terms of play value but it does what it advertises.

I like the tip and pour motion. It is a good mimic for the child of pouring a real pot into a glass.

I would reccomend buying this but don't expect it to have a long term replay value. It's an occassional use toy but it is very cute!

This tea set was given to my daughter on her 1 year old birthday by my Aunt. At first she put it aside, but in about a month when the other toys had become "old" she pulled this one out. Now, 4 months later she still plays with it. She likes all the different modes with the songs, counting,etc... The tea pot is her favorite part and she quickly learned how to make it "pour" tea over and over. The sound is not so loud that it annoys the others in the room. First off, my baby loves this toy. He really digs pandas (I think it's the contrast colors; he's 5 mos). So this is a go-to toy for him. However, for some reason, there was a crack on the plastic. Not too bad, but bad enough that we had to tape it to ensure that it wouldn't break further and potentially hurt the baby or pose a choking hazard. Not sure why it came in damaged (poor shipping?). Hubby wanted to return it but I didn't want to wait for a replacement, so we just fixed it with tape.

Disney Baby Music and Lights Walker Featuring Pooh Characters, Ambrosia

I bought this walker (or a similar Safety First Disney baby walker) and it is a waste of money! I'm so mad so I hope writing this review will be therapeutic and help me relieve some steam! If I can help someone else not waste their money it'd be worth it I guess. First of all the design is stupid. Did the people at Safety First not test babies in this thing first!?!?! No baby could ever reach the ground even on the lowest setting unless they were already walking first, and then they would be above the 30 lb. weight limit suggested on the walker. My baby can barely touch the floor and when he can, the way the fabric seat is designed it makes them sit backwards. It's as if they are in a chair, and they can't lean forward to walk because the dumb tray is in the way. This makes him only able push himself backwards. Yeah, just what I want, teach my child to walk backwards. He does like the toys and will play with them for some time, but as for walking (which isn't that way you buy a walker!?!?!) it's very poorly designed! Luckily my mother-in-law had an old Graco walker that is much better that we are now using. $55 gone for a piece of junk! I really dislike poorly made products. I will never again buy a Safety 1st product.

Just got this walker for my 4-month old from a local K-Mart. He's not close to walking yet but he holds his head up and fits nicely in the seat, which is padded all around and has support . The walker was very easy to assemble, took me less than 5 minutes and everything snapped perfectly in place. It collapses easily for easy transport. He can't reach the floor yet at the lowest setting so I put a large firm pillow underneath so he can stand if he wants to. Mainly I got this walker to be able to let him sit/stand and entertain himself with the toys while I do some quick work in the kitchen or even take a shower (with him in sight of course). So the mobility issue is not a problem for me yet as I prefer him stationary right now. The toys are a bit much for him right now but you can slide it to the sides and away from his face if he's overwhelmed. Or remove altogether to use the tray. But even at 4 months he likes touching and smiles when he moves the pieces, or when we push down Pooh for music. He's in it about 15 minutes at a time. I think this was worth every cent since I can get some things done and he's happy in it.

I just purchased this walker for my 6 month old baby and was disappointed that she is too short to touch the floor while sitting in it. Even on the lowest setting her feet are about 3 inches from the floor. If you have a petite baby, this walker is going to be useless for quite a while. It's cute enough, and she likes the spinner toys. The honey pot music box is SUPER LOUD! We had to put tape over the speakers and it's still a bit loud and tinny sounding, but at least the baby isn't afraid of it any longer. Overall, I think this is a decent walker. I was going to get the Chicco DJ walker, but couldn't find it locally. So I went ahead and got this one, which was quite a bit less expensive... I just wish she fit in it.

My 4 month old has this walker and just as the other person said the music is way too loud and tinny sounding..it sounds like a toy from the 99 cent store...i dont really like the fact the tray opens...its dangerous for tiny fingers. My daughter likes to walk backwards in it but she seems to be afraid of the noise from the toy so she is very hesitant to touch any of the toys.

By the time your little one is tall enough to sit in thishe will already be walking.

Even on the lowest setting it is too tall for them. Thankfully, it was a gift and I didn't waste any money on this one. But thought people should be aware of the height limitations on this seat.

My son is not considered smallat 7 months he is in 88% for his height.... His feet are 2 inches from the ground!

SO it's not that he is short.

A better option if you want to put your baby in a walker at 6 months is the chicco dj baby walker.

I bought this for my son when he was about 5 months old. He is now 10 months old and I cannot think of a day when he hasn't played with it. He loves it! The animal balls are his favorite. He loves to roll them on the wood floor and chase them...they also spin like tops which is pretty neat. This was a great buy since my little guy has gotten so much use out of it already. By the way, my nephews (age 3 and 5) also fight over this toy when they are over to visit!

Bell Toddler Sprite Helmet

This is the only helmet I could find that fits my daughters head and does not flop around. It is easy to adjust and worth the extra money over a cheaper floppy helmet.

This is the only helmet I could find for my 3 year old. Infant helmets were too small and youth helmets were too big. The fit of the helmet is great because the head strap is elastic. Therefore, there is no adjustment necessary and no chance the child can loosen the fit leading to potential for injury due to improper use. That said, the rest of the design is a failure. The head straps feature LED lights in the back that blink for added safety. Good idea, except they are mounted inside the shell and cannot be seen unless your child is looking down at his toes. Also, the sun visor is attached by 4 small plastic tabs. They are so flimsy that the visor broke within days of purchase, despite being cared for properly and gently.
