We received this lion toy as a shower gift when our first daughter was born 4 years ago (same exact colors as this one) and it's now entertaining daughter #3. All three girls seemed to follow the same timeline with the lion-from 1-3 months just pulling on him would immediately stop their fussing/crying (probably because they were so startled by it!), they would "discover" the lion hanging on their carseat handle around 4 months, started pulling on his legs by themselves around 5 months, and around 6 months were unable to fall asleep in the carseat without a few good yanks first. :-) None of our girls have been good car sleepers, so this poor lion has been through the wringer over the last four years...but still looks as good as new---not a single loose stitch anywhere! I think that's impressive!
It's good for the babies, AND the parents, too--my husband and I always crack up when, in the midst of their angry screaming about being exhausted but still stuck in the car, we'll hear the lion yanked up and down repeatedly and rapidly numerous times...usually followed by silence. Helps relieve some of that "travel tension"!Our Mr. Lion is the older versiondifferent colors but otherwise the same. Our son loves to play with him while in the car seat and the legs are long enough that when our son pulls on Mr. Lion and holds him down, he can chew on the feet. We even take him into the restaurant with us and the little guy loves to play with him at the table. Our son got interested in Mr. Lion at about 4 months, and at 10 months he still plays with him (and talks to him and laughs at him). Wonderful toy, well made, we highly recommend!
