This Elmo book is a hit with my little one and she especially loves lifting the flaps on this soft book. She loves the colors and patterns, too. You just toss it in the washer it's great!

My baby absolutely loves Elmo and so this book seemed perfect for her. I'm happy to say I was right: this book is nice and soft and beautifully illustrated so my little one takes it everywhere and "reads" it all of the time. While Elmo is the main character of because he hides on each page, other Sesame Street characters are also featured which is fun, too. Another great, interactive, Elmo centric book that I would recommend for the Sesame Street/Elmo lovers is "Twinkle, Twinkle Elmo" (which is also available on Amazon for a great price).

Melissa & Doug: Monkey Face Rattle

This is a good quality wooden toy. It's not a loud rattle. The eyes move around, which creates the soft wooden clicking sound of a rattle. It's large enough for a young child to grasp easily (I can fit four fingers through the monkey's mouth to grasp it), and the color is bright enough to capture a baby's attention. It's also durable enough to withstand rough use. Very cute, and gently entertaining.

I had my doubts about ANY rattle that was made of wood, let alone a painted one. We have this and the fish rattle by Melissa & Doug; both have cracked and peeled with even the most minimal exposure to moisture (drooling and teething tend to be pretty wet experiences). Also, all toys, especially those which go straight into the mouth (which is most of them) have to be washed a LOT. Another issue is that this is really going to hurt when babies smack themselves in the head with it, and they probably will, depending upon the age of the child.

Both rattles look terrible, with chipped, fading paint. They were cute (at first) and appealing, on the plus side. I would not recommend these, or give them as gifts, to anyone with an infant. They seem to be more decorative than functional. We have always had Melissa & Doug products and really enjoy them, but will probably steer clear of their baby items.

i was initially disappointed in this rattle as it doesn't really "rattle". it was not of much interest/use when my son was little. as he got older and could grasp, he liked to bang it. all this banging has scuffed the monkey and some of the paint has started to chip off (and onto the floor/wall). it has now found itself on the shelf and will be pulled out again when he doesn't put everything in his mouth. i am afraid of him getting a splinter in his mouth.

I loved this rattle the minute I saw it. It's made very well & safe for baby as are all of the toys from the Melissa & Doug line. This was a shower gift from my mom and I was thinking... cute, but how much fun will they be? She had seven kids, so I guess she knows what she is doing. My son loves them. We do all kinds of fun things in the bathtub with them including snapping them into a caterpillar, using them to rinse his hair, spinning the wheel in the smallest cup by using water from the biggest cup, exploring the concepts of in and out, smaller and bigger and practicing colors. It's like having an art class, a physics class, a spatial reasoning class and a manual dexterity class all while getting clean. Doesn't get much better than this.

I got these for my son as a bath toy when he was about 9mos old. 6mos later, they're still one of his favorite tub toys. They have a variety of slots/holes in them so the water runs out differently, great bright colours, stackable and a good sturdy plastic so they're going to keep his attention, and stand up to it, for quite a while.

My daughter has been playing with this from 7 months and STILL loves them at 11 months in the bath or out she LOVES to stack them, chew on them, nest them. Most of all she LOVES to knock them over when mom stacks them high. They have been a lifesaver a few times when lunch hasn't been ready fast enough for her. The different holes in the bottom are interesting to her the only complaint is most of the holes should be smaller so water actually trinkles out slower it comes out so fast you lose the pattern and sprinkling effects. All in all we love them and I would definitely buy as a gift for a friend and will be keeping for our next little one.

We got this for our daughter when she was around 14 months old to store her crayons in. Now we keep colored pencils, paint, chalk, crayons, etc in there! I just received this and was slightly disappointed with the construction. You could see the wood glue and there were cracks in what looks like wood filler? It will serve its purpose, however, I don't think I would buy again.

While my son enjoys looking at himself in this mirror, it really shouldn't be used on the floor since it's not very sturdy. It can be attached to a crib instead.

Plan Toys Planpreschool Twist N' Match

This is a great concept. Each block can be twisted in the middle so the heart shape twists into an oval, the triangle twists into a rectangle, etc. This provides a fun and challenging way to explore shapes. Even as an adult, it made me see shapes in a new unique way. The cardboard bases are double sides with a small groove to insert the shape pieces. My guess is that they will eventually tear with moderate use, so I would encourage gentle treatment. The blocks seem very sturdy though and the colors are vivid. My 19 month old was frustrated at first trying to twist the blocks but is starting to figure it out. She can insert the block in the groove but it is challenging to pick the right one and she wouldn't be able to twist the blocks to match them. This would be a great product for a family with an 18 month old and a 3 year old as both would enjoy it as it can be adapted for different developmental stages. At eleven bucks at yoyo, I thought it was a good deal. Until my baby grows into It, we will probably just play with twisting the blocks and "talking" about the different shapes and colors. This is a different, fun, and challenging puzzle game!

I bought this for an airplane trip to keep my 21 month old occupied and it worked pretty well. I think its clever how they twist to create different shapes for the puzzles, and it travels well as the blocks are really light and it comes with a little bag. She wasn't as enthralled as I'd hoped she'd be, but it was a good travel toy, we're saving it for our next trip, I think she'll grow into it.

Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Love to Play Puppy with Bonus CD

Okay feel free to laugh. I bought one of these initially from a local store, brought it home, and set the sack in the floor while I unpack other items. My little Yorkie/Shih Tzu mix is EXTREMELY nosey and has to inspect all sacks when they enter our home. (She strongly suspects they all contain something for her.) She bumped this toy and "set it off" singing and talking. Once she overcame her fear and suspicions, she fell in LOVE with this toy. After all, it is incredibly cute, and it is interactive regardless if you are a human or a dog as long as the buttons are punched, it merrily sings and talks. It is also extremely durable. Normally she "guts" stuffed toys in about five minutes flat, but this little guy has stood up to some serious chewing, shaking, dragging across the floors (it is almost bigger than she is) and romping. However, my intent was to give this toy to my nephew (who is due at the end of September). Seeing how much she enjoyed the toy, I just went ahead and bought another one (with the CD this time) for him. It is the same toy, just a bonus CD. So, as unorthodox as it is, I can attest to some pretty tough durability after the tests my pup has put the toy through and her teeth are sharp and she can shake pretty hard, so I'm going to say everything will be safe and sound for my nephew. (He may be able to put it to tougher tests later, but we're good for a while.) :) I really like this toy and highly recommend it.

We received violet the dog and this one for Christmas and prefer this one. This dog is very sweet with a positive upbeat voice, and very complementary. Love the songs! While violet is able to be personalized, we still prefer this one. Violets back Velcro will not stay closed while this one does. They are both cute but if we had to choose, fisher price dog would win. Most importantly baby girl loves it and does pat a cake along with. Great purchase.

I bought this toy for my 5-month-old daughter because my niece had the same one when she was a baby and I personally loved it! When I took it out of the packaging, I removed the demo tab, but it apparently stayed in demo mode. It would only sing part of each song, including the alphabet song only going up to the letter "p." I thought it was defective and prepared to return it. I read other reviews and realized that this was not uncommon. I took the batteries out and sorta jiggled the tabs next to the battery case with a blunt metal object. :-) After that, it worked fine and we both love it!

Sassy Twist N Turn Rattle

My son was not interested in this rattle. It looks nice, but it's not very easily manipulated. It's also bigger than I expected. My son prefers skinnier rattles with things that move (addition rings etc.) attached to them, so this one was rather boring for him. He puts it down after only a few seconds without another glance. I gave it three stars because there isn't anything structurally wrong with the rattle, it just doesn't appeal to my son.

No complaints against the product but from the second I got it my daughter was not at all amused with this thing. Honestly, neither was I. I wouldn't classify it as a rattle and it doesn't sound very loud which could by one reason why it didn't hold my daughters attention.

My son loves this, I hooked it up to his car seat and he always reaches up and tugs on the cow and it vibrates back up. He would hold on to the cow and fall asleep with it in his grasp. He really took notice to it on his car seat from 5 to 7 months. At 7 months I had to move him into a convertible car seat that doesn't have a place to dangle this toy from, but I am sure if it did he would still be reaching for it. He would reach for it as soon as I would place him in his car seat. It would entertain him until he fell asleep. It was his favorite car seat toy.

I bought this in November to keep my then 9 month old daughter entertained while on an airplane. She liked it ok and played with it a little, but it didn't hold her attention at all (still doesn't 2 months later). It's a cute rhyming story and I like that each page has moving pieces to play with or suck on, but it's nothing special and doesn't warrant the enormous price tag just for a cloth book. It costs twice as much as other books and is NOT twice as good. I would give 4 stars if it were under ten dollars.

our 8 month old baby loves this book. each page has a slot to put the bone that's attached to the string, unlike other books like this that only include inserts on some of the pages. it's made with good quality stitching and thick fabrics for the pages. when you turn the book around and open it up it turns into the full dog with a tail that's attached to the book like the head. it's very cute and i think she'll enjoy this book for a long time. this is the 5th product we've bought by "manhatten toy" company and every one of them are 5 stars.

we've had this book for 10 mos now and she still enjoys reading it and doesn't look very worn at all. this is a great buy and i highly recommend it and any other of this company's activity books.

Upspring Baby Walking Wings Learning To Walk Assistant

I recently purchased this product for my 2 1/2 year old special needs son, whom refuses to walk. He is happy crawling everywhere but does occasionally like to walk (when it is his idea) with an adult holding his hands. I thought maybe this would be a waste of money, but so far it doesn't seem to be the case. My son's face lights up when I put him in this. He is so happy in this that he walks all over the house for 25 minutes before tiring of it!! He could never do that with me holding his hands for that long!! He has no balance at all, so I feel that this is definitely necessary for teaching him balance. I noticed that having the straps adjusted very low and close to his back, make him more stable and he has an easier time walking. Of course, I am hunched over, but who cares!! He is loving it and I am hoping and praying that some day he will be able to walk unassisted!!! I highly recommend this product for parents with special needs kids. This is a must have!

We were very excited to order the Walking Wings for our 8 month old. As soon as it arrived, we wrapped the walking wings around him, velcroed and snapped it shut, and then went about our first "walk." After only 3 steps, my son stumbled forward a bit. His stumble caused one of the fabric straps on the Walking Wings to rip totally off a clean break at the seam. Our son immediately fell to the ground. Luckily, the fall was not hard, as the other strap remained in place. However, other babies may not be so lucky. We had this product a total of 3 minutes before it broke and put our son in harms way. I would not waste the money.

I bought this after checking online to see if it was available at the local Babies R Us. I managed to get the last one in the store. After the first time using it, my child only wanted to either lean forward or backward. I didn't expect her to immediately start walking in it at 6 months old but wanted to give her the feeling of being able to stand in a sense independently. We used it a couple more times in short spurts, 15 minutes or less, as she didn't really care to be in it very long. The last time we used it we used it longer than the other times and when she started to complain I grabbed her and started to take her out of it and noticed that he arms were discolored. They were losing circulation in her arms from the band that wraps around the chest cutting into the underarms. After a while her arms went back to normal, I decided that it was going back to the store and decided on The Juppy Baby Walker (Blue-Full lining). That one gives a full body support and doesn't cut into the underarms if the child loses stability in their legs, they won't be hanging by the underarms. I wouldn't recommend Walking Wings to anyone.

We bought this item when our son was about a year and a half old and was not walking yet on his own. He has global developmental delays, we have yet to have a diagnosis and he is turning 3 years old next month. It was wonderful to help us in the process of working on his therapy. I highly recommend this, especially if you are working with a child who struggles to walk.

I gave this four stars because as helpful as it was, I found my back hurting because my son would lean forward therby pulling at my back. I found that this wasn't as bad when I held on closer to where the straps actually met the chest covering.

Bad design & waste of money. Since there isn't any support in the crotch area, the walking wings tend to slip up under the arms, causing pain. Even if you tighten the straps, it doesn't stop it from slipping. Our daughter was uncomfortable and cried. I wish I had seen the review recommending the Juppy first. That looks great & most of all, supportive & more secure. I'm returning the walking wings and will order the Juppy.

Billy Bob Lil Piglet Pacifier

Great gag gift but was a bit disappoointed on the how it was packaged. One was packed in the NEW not opened package. But the 2nd one was wrapped like it had been open and then wrapped. Fun gift but was tacky on the packaging.

We received this lion toy as a shower gift when our first daughter was born 4 years ago (same exact colors as this one) and it's now entertaining daughter #3. All three girls seemed to follow the same timeline with the lion-from 1-3 months just pulling on him would immediately stop their fussing/crying (probably because they were so startled by it!), they would "discover" the lion hanging on their carseat handle around 4 months, started pulling on his legs by themselves around 5 months, and around 6 months were unable to fall asleep in the carseat without a few good yanks first. :-) None of our girls have been good car sleepers, so this poor lion has been through the wringer over the last four years...but still looks as good as new---not a single loose stitch anywhere! I think that's impressive!

It's good for the babies, AND the parents, too--my husband and I always crack up when, in the midst of their angry screaming about being exhausted but still stuck in the car, we'll hear the lion yanked up and down repeatedly and rapidly numerous times...usually followed by silence. Helps relieve some of that "travel tension"!

Our Mr. Lion is the older versiondifferent colors but otherwise the same. Our son loves to play with him while in the car seat and the legs are long enough that when our son pulls on Mr. Lion and holds him down, he can chew on the feet. We even take him into the restaurant with us and the little guy loves to play with him at the table. Our son got interested in Mr. Lion at about 4 months, and at 10 months he still plays with him (and talks to him and laughs at him). Wonderful toy, well made, we highly recommend!

When opening Minnie Mouse to take out the pieces, the clasp that holds it shut feels very flimsy. I am anticipating it to break sooner than later. I thought that Minnie would say something when pieces where put into slots, but unfortunately you have to press her button noise for her to talk.. I am simply unimpressed with it to say the least... I got this toy for my then 20 mth old daughter for Christmas (2012). This is the most cheaply made toy I have ever come across... and my kids have a lot of toys, including other "Disney" toys. It is so flimsy, I was scared to have my daughter handle it. The toy splits open so the child can retrieve the shapes that have been place in, however, from the moment we got the toy (brand new), it has never closed properly. In other words, the top half does not sit well over the bottom half. The plastic is the cheapest piece of plastic that you can make a toy with and the pictures on the shapes are just stickers. Suffice to say, within a couple of weeks my daughter had chewed off all of the stickers/pictures of the Disney characters on the shapes, and the toy itself is completely damaged. The bottom half of Minnie now serves as a boat in my kids bathtub, and Minnie's head gets pushed around as a grocery item in my daughter's toy shopping cart. LOL... DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Shapes are small and thin, minnie's eye has white out on it to cover up some sort of mark (REALLY?!?!?!). I'm disappointed but you get what you pay for!
