I purchased these balls when my son was about 5-6 months old, to give another developmental toy for him to play with. He loves rolling them around and crawling after them, rolling or throwing them to me, and putting them in boxes. They are easy for him to hold, and I like the different colors, sizes, and textures. He also really loves it when I roll it over his head and down his back, it tickles and he makes this really cute face. I feel that these are versatile toys that will bring learning and enjoyment for a long time.

My one year old is blind and I bought these for his birthday. GREAT sensory toy. Love them! I especially like the biggest ball. Each ball has different "nub" texture too...one is more pointy nubs, one is more rounded soft numbs, etc. Great toys! My 5 year old son likes playing with them too!

I spent along time trying to find balls which were Phthalate Free. When I found these on Amazon I was so excited exactly what I was looking for and Phthalate Free. When the box arrived, I initially thought "great, exactly what I wanted textured balls in different sizes and nice colors. On closer inspection, I noticed a blurb on the box which states "The balls are Phthalate Compliant"...WHAT? what does this mean? Certainly not the same as Phthalate Free...as Phthalates are not illegal. I will not let DS roll around on a product that has Phthalates, especially given that he puts his mouth on everything.

At least Amazon's customer service was excellent. All it took was an email explaining my problem with the item and I received a refund.

Bunnies By The Bay Bye Bye Buddy Blanket

I bought the blue bunny, Bud, for my 5 mo old son. It is a very well made bunny and I love that the eyes and nose are stitched on. Be warned, though, this is the travel version of their original "buddy blanket." This is the "bye bye buddy blanket." It is 10.5" instead of 16". It also has velcro tabs in the back, presumably to attach it to a carseat or stroller. I thought I was getting the original, full-size version and was disappointed because I don't particularly want to give him a lovey with rough velcro to take into the crib. Although he won't be able to figure it out now, it won't be long before he will. I am going to go ahead and get the full-size version for the crib. There is also Hare and a Spare, for those who want a better deal for buying both the original and travel version.

We received a similar bunny from the hospital where my daughter was born, except it doesn't have the Velcro loop and it is embroidered with the hospital's logo. She became incredibly attached to the bunny, so much so that it was getting really worn out and dirty looking, no matter how much I cleaned it. Therefore I took to the interwebs to find a lookalike replacement, and here we are. The bunny is exactly the same as the one distributed by Swedish Hospital in Seattle, except that this version has a Velcro loop so that it can be attached to a stroller or crib. The Velcro is pretty rough around the edges and I worry that it will scratch our kiddo. I considered cutting off the entire loop, but my daughter doesn't seem to notice or mind it. I am able to use both bunnies interchangeably, so that's all that matters.

My 7 month old twins got this for christmas and they love theirs! At night I put it next to them with their pacifier and they hold it in front of their face and rub their cheeks on the super silky lining of the bunny. It helps soothe them and they fall asleep holding it. I think its definitely going to be their "lovey" and I doubt they'll grow tired of them anytime soon.

On a side note, I looked into getting this "bye bye" bunny as opposed to the larger more expensive version. I actually like this one better because it is easier for them to put in their hands and less risk of the blanket getting stuck on their face. The larger version is almost too big, and I hated that the silk part of it is in 2 separate pieces. This one is much better because the silk is one solid piece of silk blanket hooked onto the rabbit head.

My parents gave my now 20 month old daughter one of these when she was born. She grew attached to it around 9 months old. We have ordered 8 of them over the past months. I got this as a gift for my son and once I opened it I very much contemplated keeping it for myself!! Its so cuddly, so soft, so perfectly smushy!! I also had this gift packaged and it came perfectly boxed. Shame on me for not reading the dimensions, but I thought I was getting a "lovie" for an infant, maybe 12" square. This is more like an infant area rug! Product confusion aside, I do love this thing as a baby play mat. It is so very soft and cute. The back of the giraffe is soft and plush, while the underside is silky. Baby can play with the ears and "horns" during tummy time. Throw it in the wash if it gets dirty. I think I will get more use out of this than what I actually thought I was buying...

This blanket is so perfect! Super great quality and my son now has 2! One for home and one for Grammies house. He loves it and it covers his pillow perfect for bed time. He loves to have it layed over his pillow to cuddle with it. He and I truly love this great little blanky!

Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Sing-with-Me CD Player

I purchased this at a store yesterday for my son's 1st birthday, thinking that the disc gets put into the slot, and it plays the song printed on the disc. WRONG! When I put the first disc in, it only made a cutesy noise. It was then I realized how misleading the packaging is by how the toy is displayed.

This is a cute toy, and my son enjoys dancing to the songs--after I press a button 2-3 times to get THROUGH the noises and TO a song... He is also at the stage where he loves putting things in/taking them out, so he is entertained. I just don't see this having a lot of return play since the in/out phase won't last for too long, and he'll be moving on to other skills soon.

I had no problem paying fifteen bucks for the toy when I thought it worked as stated above, but I now feel ripped off after seeing how the toy actually works.

The FIsher Price Laugh and Learn Sing with Me CD player is a bit of misleading since it doesn't play CDs. However, it does offer plenty of fun nursery rhymes, colorful flights, and small plastic discs (that are supposed to be the cds). Our daughter started playing with her player when she was younger than 6 months and she still loves playing with it now that she is two. Initially, she just liked the songs and blinking lights then she advanced to trying to put the CDs into the player and now -she likes to sing-along with songs.

Final Verdict One our daughter's favorites it has helped our daughter develop motor skills (putting the CDs into the player it is amazing how much she enjoys doing this) plus all of the fun music. It makes a perfect present for your favorite young boy or girl.

I got this for my daughter not really knowing if she would like it. It is always hit and miss with her. We've purchased some expensive toys that she has glanced at once then walked awaywhat a waste. This was not the case for this little toy. She loves it. I think there is just so much cause and effect learning in it which is why she is drawn to it. The buttons play different noises each time you hit them with enough of a cycle not to get bored. You can open and close the front and put cd's in 2 different ways. It has gone to the beach with us and we bring it everywhere. She loves it. There are about 6 different songs it plays.

My son loves this toy. He's 6 months and he just has to smack the thing to get it to make noise/music which makes him happy. He plays with it all by himself.

The raison d'etre of my review, however, is that Fisher Price changed the lyrics to Jack & Jill! Instead of going up the hill to fetch a pail of water, they "go looking for some color" and then they find a yellow sun. WTF!?! Are the PC-nazis dictating changes to nursery rhymes? Falling down the hill was too violent?! All nursery rhymes and stories are violent! Humpty-dumpty, snow white, hansel and gretel to name a few. Ridiculous. I am aghast. Aghast!

Vulli Sophie Giraffe Vanilla Teether, Colors May Vary

I bought tons of different teethers for my baby, determined to give her something that would provide her some relief and that she would enjoy chewing on. Out of every one (we have some that are wooden, hard plastic, silicone, gel freezer ones, pacifier-shaped ones, teething necklaces, other natural rubber ones, etc.), this is her absolute favorite. She chews on it all the time. I love the scent of the vanilla as well. It reminds me EXACTLY of the smell of my Cupcake Dolls (for all you fellow 80's kids lol). I am definitely buying her another one so we can take one on the go and not have to worry about losing our only one!

Very cute, smells great and keeps vanilla scent after washing many times. Would give it 5 stars but due to it's size and shape, my son is able to get it into his mouth in awkward positions that could potentially gag him, so I can't leave him alone with it at all. However, in my presence, my son loves chewing on it. Material is better than other teethers. Also, it's quite a bit larger than the elephant/poodle teether set made by Vulli.

My daughter is 9 months old and LOVES this toy. We've had it for about a month and it is one of her favorites. She loves to grab the sandwich and pull all the layers apart to hear the velcro "rrrrrrip". The bottle of "grape juice" makes a nice rattling noise. The ice cream cone makes a little jingle-jingle. The watermelon goes "squeek" but it takes adult size hands (all the others are totally baby activated).

After reading reviews I was concerned that my daughter was too old for these at 16 months. I went ahead and purchased the set in the hopes that these toys would help spark conversations about food and aid in pretend play. They also seemed very safe for a child her age, as many food sets seem to be approved for 3 years and above. I have not been at all disappointed with the foods, which are thankfully machine washable. They are played with every single day, and are definitely used for pretend play. In my opinion this set would be perfect without the basket because of the concerns surrounding plastics. But that's just me!

Update: At almost 3 years old, my toddler still plays with these, especially the bottled drink and ice cream. We also have a 7 month old, so it is nice that these will be safe for both little ones for some time to come.

We bought this for our then 18 month old daughter. I was reluctant to buy it because it is for ages 6 months plus and I thought she might be too old for it. She is not. She loves making the sandwich! The sandwich is what makes this Fill & Spill so great. All the sandwich pieces velcro together and the lettuce is 'crispy'. After seeing ours, my friend ordered one for her six month old son. Also, we had a 3 year old over to play and all she played with was this toy. We all had to take turns eating the sandwich she made and playing picnic. Great toy. I love this picnic set. The little food items are adorable and smiley, and the container is small and compact and perfect for babies. The one thing I'd say, though, is that we also bought the Earlyears Lil' Shopper Play Set and I think if you're only going to get one, I'd go with the Lil' Shopper. The pieces of 'food' in the Lil Shopper are more interesting than those in the Melissa & Doug picnic basket (one is crinkly, another is smooth with a mirror).

ACCESSORY: Little Touch Carrying Case/Tote

The concept is good, however it is just not functional. The game system itself barely fits inside. There are 2 small pockets for storeage of game books and the cartridges...which if you have more than two barely fit. It does not organize well and I am afraid that the cartridges will fall out at some point. This product is not worth the $20 we paid for it.

My son got a bunch of books/cartridges and a Little Touch Leapad for Christmas. It was hard to keep track of all of it, so when I saw this bag I immediately bought it. Everything fits perfectly inside and it's great for travel!! It keep the cartridges more secure I put them in a sandwich bag before the pocket, other than that I just use it as is. This is a great accessory for the the Little Touch Leappad.

I find this tote very functional as long as you use it as a carrier or tote. You will be very disappointed if you are purchasing this for storage if you want storage I recommend you buy the LeapPad Storage Organizer (it comes in blue & pink). I use this tote to carry my daughter's Little Touch books and cartridges to our friends and family houses. I usually carry 4 books and the accompany cartridges 2 in each front pocket. I have no problem getting her system in the bag and I have spare room for more books and cartridges in this section. I use the extra space when we go on long family road trips. I put 4 extra books in this section and that gives me a total of 8 books and cartridges that I can get into the bag. I am very pleased with the bag it has met all my expectations!

At 9 months old my daughter loved to take the pieces out of the puzzle and play with the pieces different textures. Now at 10 months she's slowing learning how to put the pieces back. These puzzles are one of her favorite toys. If they are in eyesight I can guarantee that she will be crawling towards them any minute.

The puzzle is well made and durable I expect my daughter will continue to play with this for at least the next several months.

Fun N Jump Toys Speedie Snailie Pull Along Pet

We bought this toy for a gift. It is very cute and we thought the colors and musical sounds would appeal to a toddler. We also thought the parents would like the wood component of the toy, so that it was not all plastic. We liked the toy, and it was made well. Unfortunately, the right wheel did not turn well. It just drug, causing the toy to turn over, and that same wheel also is the one that ingages the musical portion of the toy, so there wasn't any music either. We decided to return the toy, and asked for details on how to get a return authorization. On 9/24/12 we received an email stating we would receive a refund for the toy along with the following comment "do not worry about returning the snail, as the cost to ship it is not worth it." That surprised me, as I thought Brokenpinata would want their product back, and I was happy to ship it back.

What a delightful plush animal! He is the perfect size for little hands. And so very, very soft. Glad to have found him.

My daughter's room is done in a lavender and green bunny theme. She already had a large beige bunny in this style that she received as a gift. She loves it and sleeps with it every night. When I saw this smaller one in plum, I knew I had to buy it to add to her collection. It's super soft and absolutely adorable. It was a wonderful addition to her Easter loot.

Infantino Jittery Pals - Lion

We received this lion toy as a shower gift when our first daughter was born 4 years ago (same exact colors as this one) and it's now entertaining daughter #3. All three girls seemed to follow the same timeline with the lion-from 1-3 months just pulling on him would immediately stop their fussing/crying (probably because they were so startled by it!), they would "discover" the lion hanging on their carseat handle around 4 months, started pulling on his legs by themselves around 5 months, and around 6 months were unable to fall asleep in the carseat without a few good yanks first. :-) None of our girls have been good car sleepers, so this poor lion has been through the wringer over the last four years...but still looks as good as new---not a single loose stitch anywhere! I think that's impressive!

It's good for the babies, AND the parents, too--my husband and I always crack up when, in the midst of their angry screaming about being exhausted but still stuck in the car, we'll hear the lion yanked up and down repeatedly and rapidly numerous times...usually followed by silence. Helps relieve some of that "travel tension"!

Our Mr. Lion is the older versiondifferent colors but otherwise the same. Our son loves to play with him while in the car seat and the legs are long enough that when our son pulls on Mr. Lion and holds him down, he can chew on the feet. We even take him into the restaurant with us and the little guy loves to play with him at the table. Our son got interested in Mr. Lion at about 4 months, and at 10 months he still plays with him (and talks to him and laughs at him). Wonderful toy, well made, we highly recommend!

We bought this as a Halloween costume for our 3 yr old. She loves it & it worked out great! The neck is floppy like others mentioned but it does have reins. I safety pinned the reins to a shoulder strap to hold the head upright so she could be hands-free when she wanted.

Sassy Earth Brights Wooden Lil Twig Rattle

Please don't buy this product! I bought one for my six-month old. Like any baby would, she chewed and drooled all over it. The little colored wooden leaves STUCK TOGETHER AND THE PAINT PEELED OFF OF PARTS OF the leaves. The manufacturer, Sassy, has reassured me that the paint is nontoxic, but I still don't feel good about giving it to ANY baby. I have also contacted Toys 'R Us and will be contacting the Consumer Safety Commission. Please don't buy this.

We got this toy as a gift when my son was born. He didn't use it right away because it was too heavy for him to lift until he was around 3 months or so. He's seven months now and it has been one of his favorite toys for awhile now. It's nice looking too--a welcome respite from all the plastic junk out there and I feel better that's he's not gnawing on plastic. One problem is that the paint wears off (I guess because of all the drool). I wish it held up better because after 4 months of use, it's looking somewhat worn.

The rattle has the colors that are interesting to my baby, and the cloth pieces do have texture, however what is missing is any noise making capability of the cloth pieces (for instance, the 'crinkle' that most babies just love). All in all, not a bad little toy, but I don't think it will become a favorite.

Fisher-Price Rainforest Kick 'N Play Piano

I bought this for my daughter a month ago, when she was 2+ months old. My daughter liked to kick her feet, so I wanted to get her something that she could play with using her feet. When I saw this piano at the store, I thought the Precious Planet version was so much cuter. As I was playing with it, I noticed that the volume on the Precious Planet piano was very low and worried whether or not my daughter would be able to hear the music. The Rainforest piano was louder, but I didn't like the images as much. After reading the reviews for the Precious Planet Kick & Play Piano on Amazon and seeing that the low volume did prevent some babies from finding any interest in playing with the piano, I opted to go with the Rainforest piano. And it was the best decision. My daughter loves the Rainforest piano. She took to it right away and can spend 20-30 minutes on it. Since she can't sit on her own yet, I use a combination of the Boppy and a bed pillow to prop her up and she goes at it on her own. It's wonderful that she gets to have fun, and I get a mini-break to do things around the house or take a breather for myself!

I don't think he yet realizes that he's the one making all the sounds, but this thing ties on to his crib perfectly and he kicks it, making fun sounds. I love the volume control. Great buy.

Of all my 9 month old son's toys, this is the one he has used the longest. When he was in his crib he would kick at it a little, but when we removed it and let him play with it on the floor during tummy time, he loved it. He's been playing on it with hands and feet ever since, and it's one of the few stationary toys that he still likes now that he is mobile. It was a gift, however, and we would not have spent $45 on this ourselves.

i got this for my daughter as a toy for her crib so when she wakes up early she can play with it in her crib, but it was a mistake because shes a stomach sleeper she wont kick the piano so i thought she would press the buttons (even though its called kick piano i though she would be able to use her hands but i was wrong) with her hands she couldn't figure it out so i tried showing her a few times and every time i do she tired to touch the fish and the sun that light up she thinks thats how u turn on the music and light so therefor i am not so happy with it still keeping it in her crib because i love the mode where i turn it on and it will just play without turning off great music but i wouldnt recommend this toy for stomach sleepers! although im sure its great for back sleepers

Corolle Mon Premier Calin Charming Pastel Baby Doll

What a sweet little doll. Although, I really don't think this doll measures 12 inches, more like eight or nine, my 3-year-old daughter loves her. She is the perfect little doll for her to carry around, sing to sleep and take care of. My daughter loves her. And, it is so wonderful that she smells lightly of vanilla. Not overwhelming or overpowering at all. Just a wonderful doll. I am going to buy her another corolle doll next, the bigger size.

She has the sweetest face and smells so good. I bought one for my (now) six-year-old when she 18 mos, and one for my two-year-old when she was born. They have both been cuddled, kissed, run through the dirt, accidentally drawn on with washable marker, dropped, thrown and washed and they are still as cute as ever. The beans in their bodies make them able to sit. My elder child's has seen some wear her pinky finger has a hole in it from too much chewing and she's missing some eyelashes. For her sixth birthday she asked for another baby doll just like hers only with a complete pinky finger and all her eyelashes! She informed me that she will still keep her original baby 'because she's special' but she really wanted another one that was whole. Neither of my girls will go anywhere overnight without their babies.

From a mom's POV, they're wonderful. They are adorable to look at, and weighted just right. Whey they do get drug through the dirt, or drawn on with washable marker, just slip them in a pillowcase and toss in the wash. I have even put them in the dryer. My only negative comment is that now the outfits that they come in are cheap. My youngest daughter's baby arrived in the outfit in the photo, and it's all pilled. My older daughter's first baby came in a beautiful cotton playsuit that has faded a bit, but is still soft and beautiful.

This is a wonderful gift for a mother-to-be as the comforting vanilla scent helps to calm the baby and as they get older, they will associate that smell with bedtime. As long as baby is around, bedtime is never a problem.

My second oldest daughter (2) received this doll as a St. Nicholas Day gift and has not put her down since she received it! Even my oldest daughter (4) loves to play with this baby doll! Very sweet features, smells good, and light enough to carry around all day. Its a bonus that Corolle makes their dolls w/o BPA, PVC or phthalate so its safe for the kids to put in their mouth. She has a soft body too. Highly recommended!

My daughter got this doll for her first Christmas when she was She is now and still sleeps with "baby" every night. All 3 of my nieces also have this doll and loved it as well. It's a nice size, slightly smaller than most, and has a soft body. My daughter doesn't like to have clothes on her dolls, so my complaint is that the soft body is (was) white. It's filthy. I have machine washed it 2X, though I don't recommend. It's hard to get completely dry, and the material at the connections has weakened and has had to be sewn. The body shape has turned into a "pear," but my daughter doesn't seem to mind. The good baby powder smell is still there. Worth the cost.

This doll arrived shortly before Christmas at the same time as the Christening Corolle doll did. Love them both, as they are cuddly, and their faces are especially adorable. Had shopped local big box and toy stores and didn't find a doll nearly so pretty and practical. Don't need it to make noises; my two granddaughters provide the "talk". I measured, and unlike another reviewer, have found her to be exactly 12" tall, although she doesn't look it. Grandma will be busy sewing doll clothes.
