Literally it's tons of giggles. It is initially triggered by a squeeze to the belly but after that, any little motion will set it off. It has to be still for a few minutes (5 or 10) for it to reset and no longer be triggered by motion. That means during a car ride (constant movement!) it will laugh and giggle the -entiretime. So I don't suggest long car rides or you'll have to open it up and turn it off manually. Yes, it does have a manual off which is great. It also allows you to remove the electronic parts entirely so it can be washed-I love that. It's a great toy, very fun to my 8 month old who laughs with it, and I would defently buy again!

I first saw these toys in a store and fell in love with them because their bright colors and cute giggles just made me smile. You push the button on their belly but then you don't need to do more, they trigger each other to keep giggle, or if you touch or shake them a little, they're keep going.

So we bought 4 of them so far, two for me and my boyfriend, two for my sister and her boyfriend.

I highly recommend it as a fun gift to anybody you'd want to cheer up. The giggle machine inside has 3 positions, one to turn it off and two to select volume, which I found very useful. The machine is also removable so you can wash the toy itself.

It's about the size of a big pomegranet (maybe even a tiny bigger), so with the machine inside it's not really a sleeping toy though.

You can find them in many different colors, each with different giggles, I'm definately buying them all :)

Got this as a Christmas gift for my two month old and she LOVES IT!!! She is just starting to coo and every time I get this toy out, she just giggles along with it and melts my heart! I jus looked it up to buy it for a friend and I was a little surprised at the price, though. I feel that this toy will continue to bring my daughter joy for the months to come, though and even my 4 year old niece has one that she loves, so it's probably worth it. I love this toy and so does my eight month old baby who has been playing with this toy for about a month. Sassy's Fill and Spill Barrel really lives up to its name. Right now my baby girl enjoys spilling the contents out of the barrel. She loves to "shake, shake, shake" its fun contents (squeeker toy monkeys, yellow plastic bananas and colorful plastic barrels) out of the larger clear barrel. And her "shake, shake, shaking" of large barrel makes the most entertaining "rattle, clank and thump" which keeps her entertained. The success of this toy is the design of the large clear barrel and its lid which is perfectly sized for little hands to grasp, turn around and inspect. Based on our experience, it does seem to have advance our baby's dexterity. I can easily see this toy getting a lot of play time for many more months as my child grows and develops. I highly praise Sassy's Fill and Spill Barrel and plan on giving it as a gift to other families with babies six months and older.

This really is a great toy for those of you who have children who love to empty and fill things back up. But really, all that's inside are 3 plastic bananas, 3 plush monkeys, and 3 plastic barrels. Not a whole lot of variety, although they are all different colors. You'd be better off recyling a plastic jug or a shoe box of some sort and fill it with misc small toys from around the house.

This is one of the toys that gets put out everyday for my girls to play with. They are 9 months old and got this for Christmas. The play with every part of it from the lid and container to the bananas, barrels and stuffed monkeys inside. They like taking the toys our and putting them in and they like chewing on the plastic bananas. This was a good price and I am happy with my purchase. This toy is so simple, but my 9 month old loves it & has since he was 6 months old. The squeaking monkeys always catch his attention and make him smile. He crawls to get them as fast as he can. He loves putting things into the barrel and taking them out. The barrel being clear makes it a bit more challenging for him since he can see what is inside but can't get it unles he reaches inside. All around, this is a great toy, especially for the price. Also, it seems to appeal to a wide variety of ages as we took it to a 4 year old's birthday party and kids of all ages wanted to play with it. I like it so much that I've ordered a 2nd one to keep at my parents' house.

This toy serves 2 purposes with my 10 months old daughter as a chewing toy and a rattle. Each maracas sounds different which adds more interest. Bright colors attracts her attention. We are happy with this toy!

Originally, I purchased a traditional set of maracas for my 8 month old baby, but he kept putting the handle in his mouth and gagging. I also realized traditional maracas weren't safe for him to play with while crawling. So I put the traditional maracas away for now and bought these. My baby likes the sound and they are easy for him to hold and put in his mouth. Each maraca makes a slightly different sound, which is nice. I attach one to my baby's stroller using the "secure a toy straps" and they are interesting to play with and shake during walks, when out to eat, etc. Overall, this is a pretty inexpensive and fun baby toy. My only complaint is that they are made in China.

Disney Fairies Toddler Bed with Canopy

I purchased THREE of these beds for my three little girls. I put all three together myself (go girl power!) and just about required therapy afterward. First of all, the quality is utter crap. The plastic pieces are so lightweight, you can squish them in your hand. Yeah! Second, there are approximately ten bazillion screws you have to screw in. But good luck with that, because the holes only line up about half the time and once in awhile, there isn't any hole AT ALL! If you go so far as to get the bed together, just stop there. There isn't any reason to go further. But if you're a glutton for punishment like me, go ahead and assemble the canopy. Be sure and take pictures of it when it's all put together, because it's darling! And it will only look cute for about twelve hours before your child breaks the canopy. It's made out of metal tubing, held together with the most flimsy, brittle, plastic elbows. Imagine constructing a canopy out of paper towel tubes and masking tape. That's a fair comparison of the durability of the canopy. RIDICULOUS. Embarrassing. Unbelievable that people ARE SELLING this stuff. We've had these beds nearly six months and have made COUNTLESS repairs to the canopies with duct tape. (Yeah! That looks nice and princessy, NOT.) I just finished taking all the canopies down and throwing them in the trash, because all three were broken beyond repair. Buyer beware!!

my daughter is 2 and a half. and she refused to sleep in her old bed for the last month, because one of her friends stayed over and wet her old one... no matter what i did she insisted it was still dirty and wanted nothing to do with it. so i set off in search of the perfect replacement since her old one had been given to me used and was still in outstanding condition, i decided to check out this brand and see what they had to offer. then i found this tinkerbell canopy bed with my daughter on my lap, and she fell in love with the picture (massive tinkerbell fan) i was worried when i read the reveiws and saw that some people were saying it wasnt very well constructed, but i put my faith in this brand because it was the same brand as her old one (only difference is the canopy and that the old one was princesses) i am extremely satisfied with this bed, the picture doesnt do it justice. i was worried that since my daughter is on the tall side for 2 and a half, that the canopy might be too low for her, but instead it has plenty of room, she jumped on her new bed all day (with the canopy on it) as far as worries about the canopy frame being flimsy... it doesnt appear as though that will be a problem either, the fram is thin pvc tubing, however, the way it goes together is just with connectors, so the tubing may pop out of the connectors if it is messed with alot (my daughter played with it all day and never once did it pop apart) but i very much doubt if the tubing would become busted (my daughter also pulled on the canopy frame all day) and it is still in perfect shape. she begged me all day if she could go to bed and was more than happy when 8 o clock came around and i told her it was time for bath and bed. for the first time in a month she was asleep before midnight. i give this product 5 stars and recomend it to everyone! and the picture doesnt do this product justice, to see it in person it is absolutly gorgeous. (this bed took me about 2 hrs to assemble with the "help" of my special little girl who had to spread pieces through the entire room. all that is required to assemble it is a philips screwdriver, not included, all the holes were cut perfectly, i had no problems with getting everything to line up. 2 instruction books, one for the bed, one for the canopy. instructions are very clear, with detailed pictures.) i am very pleased i gave this bed a chance. i have noticed some people just have nothing nice to say about any products! so i recommend checking all reveiws written by each person and seeing which people are just not satissfied with any products!

I put the bed together the first time without the canopy because everyone said how bad of quality it was. The bed looked so plain that I had to put it on. Without the canopy all the tinker bell elements are missing. My 16 month old loves the bed and I have already taught her that the canopy is a "no no" and she is not to touch it. She will lay on her bed and just look up at it. It was easy to put together despite other reviews I have read. All the holes lined up perfectly for me and there was nothing missing. Overall I am satisfied with the bed and so is my daughter. Now I just need to get the making comforter set and we will be all set. I recommend this product to anyone who can control their children when it comes to the canopy since the connectors for the poles are a little flimsy.

The big writing on the box says, "Easy Assembly." Three hours, one screw driver injury which wouldn't stop bleeding all over my carpet later, the bed was assembled w/ my daughter asleep... in MY bed. She loves the bed for nap times, and we're still working on night times. The canopy is fragile and she decided to grab it while climbing up onto the bed, so it snapped on day three at one of the "T" pole attachment sites, a plastic insert to hold the skinny poles of the canopy together. The website is supposed to sell replacement parts but you can only look them up w/ the model and lot numbers which come on the box, and which are not written on the instruction manual anywhere. Still can't find it on the internet, and box was thrown out on day two. So now we have a brand new toddler bed with a floppy canopy and the product has been discontinued. I'm still not having any success finding a way to replace the plastic parts of the canopy. If I do find them, I will buy multiples to last me at least a year or two. This bed was difficult to assemble, for a 12-year army veteran/ former Apache / Longbow helicopter pilot, and fairly self-sufficient handy woman around the house. Even harder if your two kids are climbing all over you (husband is deployed and not here to help). Holes did not line up and took much strong-arming to get the screws to properly attach pieces. The bed itself is "cute," and sturdy enough. Also, my daughter thinks it's a novelty item, but likes it. My 10 month old son thinks it's really fun to practice climbing up and down on. So it has its place. Mattress does not come with bed, but that's no problem if you already have a crib mattress. Pretty and sturdy bed, fragile canopy, replacement parts are thus far not easy to find. I'd buy it again, but only if my husband were here to put it together. He's WAY more patient than me! :D

VTech - Animal Friends Toddler Laptop

I purchased this laptop as an educational toy for my 20 month old son. I was looking forward to a beginner laptop-type of toy, since he loves computers. I was terribly disappointed when I got the laptop. It is VERY boring it makes the same annoying sound over and over again, and there is nothing engaging about the toy. It has 10 keys with little tiny animals on them that are so small that toddlers don't even recognize the animals. The only "objective" of the activity on the laptop is to watch a panda move around (very boring) and listen to a voice tell you that you just pushed the star, circle, and heart. There is a "game" in which the child is to push the (tiny) animal key and the screen displays the animal and counts up to the number on the key. However, it is done in a very slow, boring manner and cannot hold my son's attention at all. There is nothing fun about it at all, or educational. In between parts of the activities there is just quiet background music and nothing to do. My son has no interest in this toy because there is nothing at all to interest him in it. It is NOTHING like a beginner computer or laptop. The "mouse" on the right side just moves back and forth with really no purpose at all. The knob on the left just makes the panda move faster or slower and makes the music speed up and slow down. The screen on the laptop is so small that young children barely even notice it. My son doesn't seem to understand that the screen has anything to do with the buttons he is pushing, since it is so incredibly small.

I strongly suggest skipping this laptop and going straight to a more advanced one, such as one for a 3 or 4 year old. I regret very much that I didn't know enough to do this. This laptop will not teach your child how to use a computer and is in no way similar to a laptop computer. My 4 and 6 year old nieces have more realistic laptop computers designed for slightly older children, and my son just LOVES using these.

Please save your money! This is a very boring, useless toy. I hope I can save someone else from wasting their money on this.

We have had this laptop for about a year and a half and it has held up quite well. There is a molded elephant face on the lid when you close it and it is probably the cutest toy vtech makes. It has adorable animal graphics on screen as well as the Panda face that surrounds the screen itself. When the the child does not push a button for a while you see two large Panda eyes open, close, and wink on the screen instead, too cute! It introduces three shapes, three colors, ten different animals and numbers up to ten. It plays soothing music that is not very loud or irritating like many toys for this age group. There are fun games where the female or child-sounding computer voice asks for you to find a particular animal or shape and to press the right corresponding key. An easy to use paw-shaped mouse is used to help the animals catch a ball with your child's help. We bought it for our youngest daughter whom we nicknamed Panda and it tied in with a Panda birthday theme we did that year as well. She and her four year old sister still like the toy and play with it often. I definitely would purchase again!

I fell in love with this Advent calendar when I was looking for one to give my grandson as a first birthday gift. His parents are active in their church and would not have appreciated one of the many secular Advent calendars which are available. This colorful Advent calendar allows your little one to learn the true meaning of Christmas as he or she places a figure onto the Bethlehem scene each day. Further, the calendar does play a Christmas hymn when pressed at the appropriate point; this is particularly fascinating for younger children.

This calendar is made reasonably well. The figurines are finished with a top stitch rather than blind stitch; while I appreciate the fact that blind stitching might have added to the price, I would have preferred the figures to be finished with a blind stitch. The calendar does "droop" somewhat since there is no support along the top edge. I solved this problem by hand sewing loops of bias tape onto the back and inserting a thin wood strip that my husband cut in his shop.

Fisher-Price still has this calendar on their web site for $30. If you sign up for their notices and catalogs, you may be able to get free shipping on this item.

We absolutely loved this calendar that we orginally purchased directly from FP in 2009 for our son. We loved that we could teach our son the real meaning of Christmas. We all love it. This year we added a new member to our family and I knew we needed one just for our daughter too. The FP site sold out before I could order it so I turned to amazon. Unfortunately, we have now ordered two and neither have played the song "silent night" as stated in the description. Instead a nice white diamond shape is sewn over the words "press here". Another reviewer mentioned that some Fisher Price Calendars now have no music: instead of the "push here" button there is a diamond shape with no music.

I was willing to pay a LOT of MONEY for the musical advent calendar. Instead I received the non-musical one which I could have purchased elsewhere for twenty dollars.

I think I should receive a partial refund and Amazon should investigate this deceptive description. The product description VERY CLEARLY states that the calendar has the musical feature.

VTech - Touch & Teach Busy Books

This was a gift for my 13 month old daughter. From the very beginning I was having problems with it recognizing the books and turning of the pages. The on/off button is the only light and that was distracting to my little girl. She kept turning the toy on and off. I'd hear the song begin to start and then Bye! Bye! over and over. Had to press very hard with the little bee to make it respond. If I had a hard time pushing down with the bee then it was impossible for my little one to get it to work. It's a waste of money and space because it's so big. I have her full attention when I read a book to her myself. Stick with the good old fashion way of learning. I can spend this valuable time with my daughter reading to her myself than trying to make this toy work properly.

My son received this toy for his 1st birthday, which was 6 months ago. He didn't really start playing with it until probably 4 months ago.

You have to use the "magic bee" to "point" to things in the book, and he couldn't do it yet. Please be aware that you CANNOT just touch things with your finger for it to work, you must use the "magic bee". The "magic bee" is on a little cord that is connected to the book, and it's still hard for him to get it to reach to where he wants sometimes. I will say that it is a relatively fun toy that he'll play with for a little while, but now it has stopped recognizing when we turn the page, so it says the wrong things. I will also warn that the song that it plays when turned on is very annoying! It comes with 4 different books, and my son only really enjoyed 2 of them because they made different noises instead of just saying a shape or color. I called the company for a replacement since it has already stopped working and they wanted me to pay for the shipping of the toy to them so I didn't go for it. It's not that great! He loves to play with his LeapPad which is similar, but you can use your finger and there are many more options with that toy.

Infantino Jittery Pals - Lion

We received this lion toy as a shower gift when our first daughter was born 4 years ago (same exact colors as this one) and it's now entertaining daughter #3. All three girls seemed to follow the same timeline with the lion-from 1-3 months just pulling on him would immediately stop their fussing/crying (probably because they were so startled by it!), they would "discover" the lion hanging on their carseat handle around 4 months, started pulling on his legs by themselves around 5 months, and around 6 months were unable to fall asleep in the carseat without a few good yanks first. :-) None of our girls have been good car sleepers, so this poor lion has been through the wringer over the last four years...but still looks as good as new---not a single loose stitch anywhere! I think that's impressive!

It's good for the babies, AND the parents, too--my husband and I always crack up when, in the midst of their angry screaming about being exhausted but still stuck in the car, we'll hear the lion yanked up and down repeatedly and rapidly numerous times...usually followed by silence. Helps relieve some of that "travel tension"!

Our Mr. Lion is the older versiondifferent colors but otherwise the same. Our son loves to play with him while in the car seat and the legs are long enough that when our son pulls on Mr. Lion and holds him down, he can chew on the feet. We even take him into the restaurant with us and the little guy loves to play with him at the table. Our son got interested in Mr. Lion at about 4 months, and at 10 months he still plays with him (and talks to him and laughs at him). Wonderful toy, well made, we highly recommend!

Dandelion Organic Toy Squeaker, Duck

It is not easy to find organic sound-and-effect baby toys. My baby and I have been very pleased with this duck. Although she has not mastered the sqeak on her own, she loves his soft texture and crinkly hands. It wears well -my baby chews on him a lot and I have washed and dryed him many times in the machine.

This is a very cute product. Nicely made and I love that it's organic. It is very small and I would recommend it for a new born or as a first toy. I bought for a six month old who already plays with toys and have much bigger and more colorful toys... so unfortunately he didn't find it very interesting. I still liked it.. ;)

I am happy that there are options for organic toys but this duck is extremely small. Length is barely 5 inches. Was disappointed about that but the toy is extremely soft. I also like that it squeaks and has crunchy sounding feet...my dog may enjoy this toy more than my daughter so at least it will get used. Would not buy the other animals in this line.

I didn't read fine print and thought I was going to receive the 3 scoops pictured. A little pricey for one scoop.

These are great durable and large shovels for the beach, or a 4 year old in a tubby. We have four of them and my son loves them and uses them for all sorts of things. They are good quality, quite durable, and very ergonomic for shoveling quickly. You can also use them for rinsing you child's hair in the tubby and I have another one I use for salting in the winter (they are excellent for this).

I bought large size scoop and small size. the large one carries more sands. We played on the beach. We dag wet sands with it. The wet sands might too heavy for it. So the handle was bit bended. But it did not get broken. The smaller ones are stronger.

This is a great, engaging toy for a little one. Our daughter loves pressing the red button to make the songs play over and over and over again! As a previous reviewer said, she'll press a button, run away, then come back and press it again as soon as a song ends. The melodies are upbeat and fun for a child. The bright flashing colors hold her attention. This is something we will use for a long time as it does allow for more complex play.

This turtle has been on my daughter's top ten toy list since birth. When she was first born, she loved to look at the lights. Later, she began to appreciate the music. Now, at age 1, she likes to 'compose,' hitting the music tiles and making them light up and play. She also likes to multi-task with this toy she makes it play a tune and then plays with some other toy. But the second the tune is over, she hits the tiles again to get her music playing.

My baby was fighting tummy time because she was getting bored. My mother in law bought this little wonder and now she loves tummy time. The colors and music keep her entertained. She even coos to the toy. The only downfall is the song play is not very long so you have to constantly push one of the buttons. On a seperate note keep this toy picked up dang it hurts when you stub your toe.This toy is sturdy.

I don't generally leave product reviews, but I had to comment on this wonderful little guy! The turtle is fairly large, made of hard plastic, seems durable although we just got it a couple of days ago so we'll see. It plays a wide variety of classical songs, all are relatively long compared to other toys we have. The songs are pleasant to listen to, and my 5 month old digs it! He likes the flashing lights and the music, and if he accidentally pushes it out of reach he's hollering at me right away because he wants more. The buttons are really easy to push, so even a tiny baby can work them easily. Even my 3 year old likes the turtle, and she'll dance around the living room doing her "ballet" while my son orchestrates. This is a toy for active playit's very stimulating and not meant to be a crib/bedtime item. It looks like something my kids can enjoy for a long time, so it's a great value for the money. Mostly, though, it gets kudos for not driving mom up the wall.

Bought this toy for my daughter (11 months old) and she immediately loved it. The music is great and the colors really got her attention. She loves it in composer mode where she can push the instruments one by one until they all start making music. Would definately recommend.

Swimways Disney Princess Sun Canopy Float

I had no issue inflating this floaty due to my Masters in the Inflatable Arts, Concentration in Swimmables. But that's were the compliments end. The design is kind of dumb. The 'canopy' is practically useless when the sun is overhead. When the child starts bouncing around it's impossible to keep the canopy up.

I would also have preferred to have one that had a higher back to help stabilize the child. Our's spent a good deal of time intentionally trying to look at us backwards, upside down. Also, a few little toys would have been a simple add-on.

If you have a pool you are going to use a lot I'd get a better one, but if you just need something quick and fairly cheap for a few uses, this isn't too bad.

I bought this thinking it would be great to shade the baby from the sun. The canopy was very floppy and did not stay over the baby. I would not recommend this product. I should of returned this product.

The good keeps my daughter afloat. Has Disney princesses on it.

The bad there are no instructions with this float. For new parents or people who have never inflated something in the last 10 years, that is a problem. I spent 30 minutes trying my hardest to blow this thing up no air was going in at all. I eventually got my power drill and tried to drill through the airhole (because it's closed) and still no luck. I now claim stupidity but there is nothing intuitive about how to actually blow this up. You have to squeeze the air valve while blowing to open it up. I am not the only person who did know realize this. Several of my friends (from doctors to contractors) did not realize it either when they bought similar products for their kids. Also, the canopy does not stay up and falls all the time.

Overall not too bad for what you're paying.

Potty Training in One Day - The Potty Patty Doll

The directions that come with this doll say "We recomment that you familiarize yourself with how the doll operates. Try feeding and making the doll go potty before the 'Big Day.' The risk of operating the doll for the first time on the 'Big Day' is that things may not go smoothly and your child may lose interest and enthusiasm." In other words, it takes a grown-up to use this doll. Filling the bottle is a slow, cumbersome procedure (you have to immerse it in a glass of water, squeeze, turn upside down, remove and turn right-side up, squeeze again, reinsert in the glass & repeat). Feeding has to be done at an awkward angle; it's also messy and soaks the doll's clothes. To make the doll go peepee, you have to squeeze its thigh hard, which could distress a child. I was very disappointed with this doll and would have returned it if I could. I gave it two stars instead of one because it's a cute doll and it comes with training pants to replace the diaper it's wearing, which is a good idea.

I bought this doll to help my 19 month old get the concept of peeing in the potty. My daughter immediately loved feeding the doll and carrying her around. The cons were that you have to feed the doll at least 2 bottles worth SLOWLY for the doll to have enough in it to best show how the doll will go in the potty. Also, there is an art to making the doll pee consistently without sputtering. The pros were that my kid loved the doll and it did everything I needed it to.

I looked and looked for a wetting doll as we planned to used the potty training in one day method. The cheaper ones all seem to be babies. I took a deep breath and forked over the cash and bought Patty. She worked. I don't have any complaints. We used her for about 20 minutes and don't plan on taking her out again until our 2nd daughter is ready to be trained. She will not be a toy. Potty Training in One Day worked. It is pretty intense but I am glad we did it and bought the appropriate doll. No poopy toddler diapers is worth every penny Patty cost me.

I had no problem spending the money on Patty. I was planning on the toilet training in less than a day method and need a doll that wet itself. I figured since this company also was a proponent of this method it would be a great doll and money well spent. What a waste. Part of the training is a "dry pants" inspection. Couldn't do that because the stupid doll leaks. Dry pants inspection with wet pants doesn't work. I am very disappointed and irritated that I spent the money. Don't buy this doll.
