Raw Beans Shape Baltic Amber Teething Necklace

Raw Beans Shape Baltic Amber Teething NecklaceI have trusted, knowledgable people who highly recommend baltic amber for teething babies. I shopped for many days before deciding on this product. I loved the mixed colors. The necklace arrived on time and in good condition.

However, I was very disappointed in the size of the beads. Looking at the picture I was expecting the beads to be much larger. The necklace I received is obviously not the necklace in the picture. The last bead on the bottom is the clasp and it shows the beads to be that size and larger. Not true in my product. The beads of my necklace are half the size, at best, of the clasp.

That said I will keep the necklace, because I have no idea how to return it to another country. At the end of the day I expect it will still have good results regardless of the size of the beads. Unfortunately I will not order from this site again..

Loved the necklace. Searched online for amber teething necklaces and prices were too high. Found this seller and price was not too high. Great product and quality for the price. Arrived ahead of estimated delivery. Would buy from this seller again.

Disney Pooh Peek-A-Boo Soft Blocks

Disney Pooh Peek-A-Boo Soft BlocksMy Grandson has lots of toys but this is absolute #1 favorite! The blocks are a perfect size for little hands. Each side has lots of colors and differnt textures, and have that crinkle sound when squished that babies like. The best thing is that each one has a little soft ball inside. Which are different colors, and the perfect size for his little 7 month old hands to grab and squeeze and hold on to. Sometimes when he squeezes them they will POP out of his little hand, but because they are soft they only roll just out of reach, which gets him crawling after them. He loves working on pulling them out of their blocks as well. When I watch him play with these I can really see him working on developing his motor skills. Great buy!

This toy is fun for my 7 month old. Besides learning in and out with the 3 boxes that crinkle and the 3 balls that jingle , i also put the box over her hand, hid her pacifier in the box for her to figure out and remove. Excellent size for little hands to pick up and all soft so she can throw it roll over on it bang it together or chew on it and it won't hurt her. Highly recommend this toy because it is so versatile and fun to play with baby.

This is great for little kids. The balls can either be chewed on or popped easily in and out of the blocks. Great for kids who love Winnie the Pooh. I highly recommend then. They're soft too so if they get thrown at a sibling or playmate you don't have to worry about injuries!

They came within a week and my daughter loves them. She eats the balls and loves the crinkle of the boxes. If your child loves winne the pooh and is teething this is a great toy.

This is a great first set of blocks for babies. Got this for my daughter at 5 months and she loved playing with them and still does 2 months later. There are 3 blocks, they all have crinkly sides with one clear side to see the ball inside. I was worried about the ball falling out but they are secured inside by soft flaps just underneath the opening of the block perfect for baby as she grows and slowly able to remove the soft ball on her own. We play peekaboo with the balls inside the blocks and they have different sounds a bell, rattle, and one squeaks. The blocks are easy to grasp and help promote development of fine and gross motor skills. And they also have cute Winnie the Pooh pictures on all sides except the clear side. A complete success at our house! Highly recommend! Forgot to add that they are soft and don't hurt baby if she topples on them.

*SAFETY KNOTTED*Amber Heals Baltic Amber Baby Teething Necklace-Baroque Cognac w/ "Amber Heals" Jew

*SAFETY KNOTTED*Amber Heals Baltic Amber Baby Teething Necklace-Baroque Cognac w/ 'Amber Heals' Jewelry Pouch -I was doubtful when this came. The beads felt like plastic to me. I tried it on our baby though and she has been wearing it for months.

When we started using it she was drooling a full bib's size worth of soaked shirt multiple times a day. We saw an immediate reduction in her drooling. The few times I've taken it off (we don't let her wear it in the bath) and forgotten to put it back on we've noticed it's missing when we pick her up and her shirt is soaked with drool.

It hasn't hurt her, and it seems to have helped her, and we like the look of it.

I bought this necklace for my 10 month old after my sister and cousins all bought one for their children. My son has yet to have a problem with teething. He is now 13 months.

Slinky Dog Retro

Slinky Dog RetroI bought this toy for my son. He loves it a lot! He enjoys playing with it along with his Mr. Potato Head(s). One thing I do not like is that the string is attached between Slinky's eyes instead of the chest, like the one in the movie. My son doesn't mind, so overall I like it because it makes my son happy.

I got this for my 10 year old niece. She isn't so much into playing with toys anymore, but I knew she liked Toy Story.

She loved the fact that there is a real toy with a real metal slinky.

The toy cant really 'walk' with the string on carpet but does pretty well on tile floor.

Its not an everyday toy because the Slinky can kink.

Once the toy is done it makes a great show piece my niece doesnt put it away in the closet she keeps it displayed on her bookshelf and takes it down from time to time.

Overall, a happy purchase.

I got this for my 9 year old who is a dog lover. After reading the other reviews, I was hesitant because they all talked about how it is cute, but not really mean to be played with. But after receiving it, it is more durable then it seems IF it is played with correctly. The string is way too short, but I think they do that for safety reasons. My 9 year old plays with it daily. She takes it for walks and very much enjoys it. I did give her the warnings about it being fragile and easy to break, So when not playing with it, it goes back in the box. Good toy for older kids, or more serious minded kids.

Delta Disney Cars Square Table and Chair Set

Delta Disney Cars Square Table and Chair SetFor my son's 2nd birthday we redid his entire room in the Cars theme. We went as far as repainting his room & furniture.

This table & chair set is a MUST for any Cars fan. I was a little hesitant at first because the price was very good...so I wasn't expecting a whole lot. I was very pleasantly surprised. They are extremely sturdy, fairly heavy for the size, and beautiful bold colors/graphics. Can't go wrong with this fantastic set.

This table is nice because it is wood, instead of plastic and metal. My toddler loves it, but one of the table legs has loosened and stripped out where the leg screws into the table. We have glued it several times but it is still loose. The chairs have been durable and we have had the set for over a year now. Some of the paint on the top has chipped from being cleaned a lot.

I purchased this table & chairs set as a birthday present for my grandson. I thought he'd use it for play. Well as it turns out, he loves it and wants to eat all of his meals at it which has greatly reduced mealtime battles and brought some peace and quiet to mealtime for his mom and dad.

All the surfaces with the pictures on are very durable and were in excellent condition. A leg or two had some blue paint missing or scratched off, but that was really no big deal to me. If need be, the legs can be easily unscrewed and repainted, which may be necessary in time, given the great amount of use this set will get. Great item!

B. Hellophone - Sea/Pattern

B. Hellophone - Sea/PatternThis toy seems pretty fun, but not very durable as can be expected with most electronic toys a toddler mouths and bangs on. It sells for $7.99 at Target, though -$20 cheaper than here! Whoa!

I was looking for a cell phone for my 15 month old as he is constantly obsessed with everyone's phone and is always making calls. I wanted to find a realistic toy phone, and while this isn't necessarily realistic, it fits the bill. First off, the packaging to this toy is amazing and super cute...the box can be reversed into a gift box and it comes with a cute little booklet containing baby quotes. The phone is a little clunkier than an actual cell phone--thicker than a normal cell, and slightly wider. All of the numbers make a sound and the pound and star sign play a cute little sound. The top left button plays 2 different prerecorded sayings--"I love you so much" and "Hi there, want to go out to play?" You also have the option to record your own 5 second message which after recording is repeated back with the top right button. I don't understand the complaints...I recorded a message for my little guy and it came out crystal clear and sounded great. The little LCD screen above the buttons lights up and says hello. When the phone is flipped closed it rings and when your little one answers it will either make a dial tone or busy signal. There is also a lock tab at the bottom so that the recorded message can't be recorded over unless you slide it back. My toddler LOVES this phone and he completely forgot about my phone as soon as I gave this to him. The box states that it is phthalate free and that all B. products meed or exceed all USA safety standards. I am not sure whether they have upgraded this product, but I am a paranoid mom and feel perfectly fine letting my little guy use this. It is an awesome toy and I plan on going to Target and purchasing more for a back up and for gifts as I think every little toddler would absolutely love this product.

Buy B. Hellophone - Sea/Pattern Now

It's a fun little toy, but it lasts for as long as baby's attention span is going.

My 10 month old was interested in it initially, as a novelty the goal was to get him away from our cellphones, but that didn't pen out. The toy phone gets cast aside once the real one is spotted...

Nice feature ability to record one personal message; my baby does smile everytime I press that button

Con the two pre-recorded messages get on one's nerve very quickly (there's something about the female voice that just gives everyone around a toothache), and there's no way to record over it. Unfortunately, these recordings are triggered by one of the 2 big buttons, so we get to hear it A LOT.

BPA-free is a huge plus;

Not much of educational aspect, maybe not yet.

Bought this for my 1 year old great-grandson. He is thrilled with it, as are his parents. They leave a message for him before they go to work, and he can then hear mom or dad talking to him on his own phone. The best part is, when they are on the phone, he can grab his own phone and have someone actually talking to him. Love it!

Fisher-Price Discover 'n Grow Select-a-Show Soother

Fisher-Price Discover 'n Grow Select-a-Show SootherSo upon going to target for odds and ends, I came across this item. I already have a soother for my DD but the projection is so loud you have to turn the music almost all the way up (which is too loud lol). Anyways this soother is not what I had expected. Don't get me wrong, it's a great product but I feel like It could have been better. It has 2 different volume options and 3 different light disks. The light could be a bit stronger so the projections would be clearer and the volume louder as well. It's a great solution to those wind up mobiles and dark rooms. Soothers in general are great.

I was so excited for this product for my six month old. The projection was so blurry that we couldn't make out the images. Sending it back.

I ended up tossing this in the trash shortly after buying it. The projections were WAY too blurry, I couldn't even tell what they were! Would NOT suggest buying this product.

Something went really bad with this product. Images are not clear. My daughter loves another similar fisher price projector that shows only two pictures, this one has three pictures, alternating images on the same board, but they are not clear no matter the distance from the wall or ceiling. At least music themes are good.

Sassy Go-Go Guitars Musical Toy, Colors May Vary

Sassy Go-Go Guitars Musical Toy, Colors May VaryFirst, I will say that I do like these plush guitar toys/rattles. The easily strap on to a car seat or bouncer and the sounds they make aren't too annoying (which is a plus for parents). We have the Sassy Go-Go Bugs which I like, so when I saw these funky guitars I thought I'd get them. When they arrived I was slightly surprised and a bit disappointed as they only come with 2 rattles! This was hard to tell from the picture and you don't get to pick the colors of the guitars. Admittedly, this is my own fault since it does say that it only comes with 2, but like other items I have purchased it could have said "colors may vary" so you know what to expect. Overall, these guitars are cute, fun, and the bold, contrasting colors are engaging.

Be aware when you're purchasing this product that you are only going to get two of the four guitars depicted. I was unaware of this (I should have scrolled down and read the Product Details and Product Description more thoroughly). Since I wasn't even given the option to choose which two guitars I wanted, I didn't know until my shipment arrived. I'm fine with the product and the pricing, but it needs to be clearer that you only receive half of what the product claims to be at least in the image.

My five year old actually chose this for her little brother who is now 11 months. Although this is more appropriate for younger babies, he still enjoys them and they buy me a few minutes of relaxation!

Want Sassy Go-Go Guitars Musical Toy, Colors May Vary Discount?

Unfortunately, these were not what I thought they were. I was searching for an item like the Sassy Go-Go Bugs but with the chime sound. These guitars have the rattle sound which is not what I was looking for. The description says '...with each guitar having a distinct rattle or chime sound' which I mistakenly assumed to mean at least one of the two would have a chime sound but the two I received did not. Despite that, I am keeping them as they are a good quality item, longer length than the Go-Go Bugs which is nice so my 3 month old can reach them better when hanging from the toy bar. I love that they have the velcro strap so much easier to use than the plastic rings to clip onto car seats, toy bars, etc. The velcro straps also don't slide around as much as the plastic rings do.

Lamaze Play & Grow Jacques the Peacock Take Along Toy

Lamaze Play & Grow Jacques the Peacock Take Along ToyJacques is one of Lamaze's best offerings! The peacock is light enough and the feather panels thin enough for little hands to grab, tug and pick up without easily dropping. The feather panels also provide several chewable surfaces for little ones who love to put everything in their mouth.

The shape of this toy also makes it easy to tuck into a car seat. While a lot of toys seem to fall out of the car seat once baby starts playing with them, the flatness of the feather panels and the flat bottom of the peacock body seem to help this toy stay in the seat. Also, the feather panels are easy for baby to reach out for an edge, grab and pull back into reach.

For these reasons, we made our peacock a "car only" toy so that our little one, who was not fond of car travel at 4 months, would have something he liked in the car. This toy was an immediate favorite even before our little one really became interested in these types of toys.

The back of the peacock feathers have different black and white panels which makes the toy interesting even when the toys happens to be upside down. The cute face and large eyes appealed to our little guy and were worthy of cues and smiles a friend indeed. I could not be happier with this toy. Our favorite Lamaze character!

I've never written a review for any baby toys before, but I'm going to make an exception for Jacques. We call him Pierre the Peacock, because alliteration is more fun than consonance, but I digress.

As far as our 5-month-old is concerned, Jacques is the greatest thing that has ever existed. Our son goes absolutely insane at the mere sight of Jacques. Even a month ago, when he was not such a grabby baby, he wanted to touch all parts of Jacques simultaneously. With great intensity, he wants to stare at Jacques and never look away; he wants to squeak and scream and laugh at Jacques as loud as he can. His love for Jacques is metaphysical.

In fact, if it was possible to be a little too excited by a toy, Jacques might potentially fit that bill. Sometimes our son is overwhelmed by his excitement for Jacques. Jacques is baby cocaine.

Our only complaint is that we wish Jacques was machine-washable. He fell on the garage floor and got very dirty, and now our son spends his days in a deep, Jacques-less, existential depression. C'est la vie...

Buy Lamaze Play & Grow Jacques the Peacock Take Along Toy Now

Around 10 weeks, my baby finally started noticing the Lamaze toys we had around the house we had the Emily doll first and now that is her ultimate favorite toy. I just purchased Jacques for her, and she loves him too. The back of the toy is patterns of black and white fabric, and has the crinkly sound babies seem to love. Each of the "feathers" has a different interest point a squeaker, a soft bulb, a mirror, and satin touch ribbons. This is a really great deal, too Babies R Us sells the same toy for $12.99 as of today.

Read Best Reviews of Lamaze Play & Grow Jacques the Peacock Take Along Toy Here

We saw this in Babies-R-Us and our little baby couldn't stop laughing when she saw it. I think it's the combination of the BIG EYES, the squeaker in one of the wings, the mirror in another wing, the krinkly sounds and the bright colors.

The hook on top is useful for hanging from the carseat or from the swing - however, if you are just trying to make Jacque dance for your baby, the hook kind of gets in the way but that is a minor note.

Overall, I highly recommend Jacque - she has not tired of him yet and everytime she sees good ol' Jacque, her face lights up and she babbles at him.

Dantoy Stacking Tug Boat

Dantoy Stacking Tug Boat Color: BlueI wanted a nice plastic boat for my son. Most bath toys trap water and I was excited to purchase a toy that would easily drain. But it hardly floats. When he gives one of his toys a ride in the boat, it's at the bottom of the tub. Oh well. I wouldn't care if I paid like 5 dollars for it, but I think I overpaid for what I got.

Bigger than the original but the sentiment was still worth the look on my husbands face! After 40 years. Thanks

Fisher-Price Little Superstar Step N' Play Piano

Fisher-Price Little Superstar Step N' Play PianoMy son is 17 weeks old; he loves it. The variety of songs, the lights and all the little toys kept him entertained and entertained ME as well.

Ease of Assembly: good instructions. All pieces snap together easily. The only screw you have to deal with is the one over the battery compartment.

Great about it: Somebody put a lot of thought into the music. The piano has four keys, all of which my five month old can reach and hit with her toes easily. They make a major chord which means that baby can't make any painful/discordant notes.

The seat turns easily. She doesn't crawl yet, but she figured out how to twirl the seat within a couple of sessions.

There is a good variety of sounds/toys. Baby does not get bored easily because each toy moves or makes sounds differently. I thought her noises would get annoying, but they are great. The songs it plays are short and catchy.

Not so great: um, the trumpet doesn't make a lot of noise and the snack tray could snap in instead of just sit in there? Really no complaints with this item!

Buy Fisher-Price Little Superstar Step N' Play Piano Now

My son who is now almost 7 months old LOVES this entertainer!

He will sit in it for hours if I'd let him :)

The music is catchy, I sometimes catch myself singing along. The rattles on the side of the seat entertain him very well!

The ONLY reason I did not give this 5 starts is because it doesn't have a height adjustment like other "exersaucers" and it doesn't fold down at all for storage or travel to grandmas.

Assembly was a breeze and I would absolutely recommend this product!

In just 2 months of use, my 6 month old broke the blue microphone off at the base. It snapped in half. I was very disappointed because that was his favorite item on this toy. The trumpet is also useless. It is difficult for my son to access because it doesn't stay within reach with the long string. It also doesn't make much noise that's even audible. I wish I had purchased another model with more toy attachments with better quality.

Both sides are interesting for him and he turns and slides from side to side. Tiny Toes Cow & Pig Booties

Tiny Toes Cow & Pig BootiesThese booties are really super cute. However, they are hard to get on my 3 month old's feet. For some reason they are hard to pull onto her feet; I think b/c her feet tend to be sweaty a lot so the fabric does not glide well. They also don't stay on very long even though I secured the velcro tab in the tightest position. They get flung right off a minute later b/c there is so much space. I am hoping it will be better once she is older. But so far she hasn't really even noticed the booties except when I hold them up and show them to her (not when they are on her feet).

Biscuit: Biscuit Bean Bag Plush by Kids Preferred

Biscuit: Biscuit Bean Bag Plush by Kids PreferredI didn't see any dimensions and bought this stuffed animal by just looking at the picture. I thought it would be typical stuffed animal size...maybe about 8 inches?! Unfortunately, it's really small (about the length of your hand). I bought it because my daughter LOVES the books and even SLEPT with one of them. I figured this would be a softer choice. :o) But, she didn't really take to it like I had hoped. My two year old daughter brings this to our six month old to play with and so it is now her toy! It is REALLY cute, just not what I had imagined!

We purchased one of these biscuit stuffed animals for our son for Christmas and it's been his best friend ever since. He carries it everywhere and even sleeps with it at night. While it's small to my adult hands, it's the perfect size for a 2 year old. Just big enough for him to carry it under his arm, but not so large it's hard to get around.

Considering how much he loves it, we just ordered 2 more after a scare where we thought it was lost.

It does give you the dimensions, I guess I just didnt realize how small that was. I'm assuming it will be put in his stocking instead of a gift bag as I had planned. I thought I was getting a pretty good deal on this...Until I saw how small it was. I wish I had gone for the larger size. The picture for this product is deceiving, The picture shown is actually the large plush, not the one you will get if ordered. I saw the picture & assumed that's what I was getting. The one you will actually be getting is VERY small...It will fit in your hand.

VTech - V.Smile Baby - Infant Development System

VTech - V.Smile Baby - Infant Development SystemWe originally bought this for our son at a year old, but I think that's a bit too early really for a device like this. Now he is just over 2 years old, he will sit and play with it. I really can't understand the comments about poor graphics. They are perfectly fine for the purpose it is intended for and they certainly do not resemble those of an Atari 2600. That's just plain insulting to this product. What were people expecting? Playstation or Xbox quality graphics at this price point? My wife and I also kept wondering if we even had the same product as we haven't heard any mispronunciation of words either. Kids at this age treat them roughly and attention spans are limited anyway so I would rather spend $40 on this than some much more expensive device that would offer little more benefit for this age group. When he's old enough we'll get him a real computer with 'better graphics' but certainly not when he's 2 years old!

I decided to try this over the Little Leap system. Originally, I thought the Little Leap would be better. However, I looked at the demos that they show on the website and the baby discs did not look interesting, only the toddler discs which can only be used in their toddler mode. The baby one that they showed was filled with annoying baby talk. Plus, there seems to be trouble with setting it up for some people and since we use an xbox 360 instead of a regular dvd player I did not think it would work for me either. I also think that the v-smile is a better value bc the Little Leap does not come with a real disc to use, just a demo....

Okay, on to the point! I bought this today for my 13 month old son. I agree that the graphics/ audio are not spectacular, but let's keep in mind that this is for babies and toddlers, NOT adults. The graphics are perfectly fine for a baby. I do think though that they could have done something to grab attention a little better, some parts do seem pretty bland. However, what gets the attention of one baby may not get the attention of another. I think a big part of the issue with some of these negative reviews is that some parents expected to just set it up and walk away with their baby sitting and smiling up at the tv. This requires a lot of interaction from the parent to help keep their child's attention and fascilitate the learning process. (think: "wow! look at the yellow stars!" "can you press the red heart? good job!") But on the other hand, if your child does give attention over to the tv easily, it is nothing to brag about that they'll sit there for hours. Too many children spend all day in front of video games/tv/computer. Even educational video games should be limited and should not take the place of active play.

This system is for 9 months and up, but I think that's a little young. The keyboard can be played with seperate from the full system, which would be appropriate for the age, but you could not want to pay that much just to do that. I don't know why they even bothered with the purple wrist rest (or whatever they call it). It comes right off and there is really no point in it. The keyboard can be set to play alone mode and it identifies the shape and makes other sounds (ex: the red heart says heart when pushed and makes a kissing sound) when the buttons are pushed.

The cartridge that comes with the game is heavy on colors, shapes, and counting to five. He liked the peek-a-boo animals and the counting song. The songs were annoying to me; but again, this is not for me it is for my son and he liked it and even "danced" a little bit to it. Overall, I had a hard time keeping his attention to it for very long. But again, all babies are different as far as this goes. The tv does not keep his attention much yet anyway. The only thing he likes to watch is Baby Shakespeare-he loves Bard the Dragon. But he could care less about any other Baby Einstein video although I know there are a lot of babies that love them. At any rate, I am just trying to make the point that you should not decide whether to get something based on what someone else's baby prefers.

I agree with others that it is surprising that they did not choose to include ABCs with it. Maybe one of the new cartridges will have that. I can highly recommend the Meet the Letters video though to anyone who is looking for a good way to teach the ABCs to their child.... it is very effective.

The bottom line is this: Yes, it could be better but this is the cost of a couple of dvds, so it is completely worth the money to have a system that can grow with your baby/ toddler that they can learn something from..... Just don't think it is something that they can do on their own. It requires parental involvement. Also don't put your child on the path of zombiehood. Remember the importance of play that does not involve the tv!

Buy VTech - V.Smile Baby - Infant Development System Now

We bought this for our two year old daughter. The resolution is terrible, and the words are mispronounced. MY daughter loses interest very quickly in it, and much rather look at her books than the screen. I think it has a lot to do with the quality of the picture. I wouldn't buy this as a gift, even on sale at a great price. I'm hoping the new leapfrog baby/toddler product is better than this one. This was a very disappointing purchase.

Okay, my husband and i were torn between the v.baby smile and the leap frog little leaps for our daughter's first birthday. I spent DAYS online reading and comparing reviews. After hearing so many conflicting opinions we finally decided to buy them both and figure it out for ourselves. Here is what we came up with. Yes, the graphics are WAY better on the little leaps. But thats about the only thing we liked about the little leaps in comparison. The V.smile baby has graphics that will definately get the job done and was easier to set up. But the thing that REALLY sold us on the v.smile was that when you pressed a button something IMMEDIATELY changed on the screen. Even when the cartoons are talking and you are not instructed to push a button something little will pop up after a button is pushed. The cartoon continues explaining so you dont loose any information but the child can also see the effect of pushing that button. With the little leaps if you pushed a button out of turn nothing happend. And they talked alot and asked for little response. When they did want you to press a button the screen would just pause until you did. So to me it felt like watching an educational video and the child just has the pause and play buttons. Since we are buying it for our daughter's first birthday that would put her in the lower end of the recommended age for these toys so we wanted to go with the one that would hold her attention longer and would enforce things like cause and effect because she is going to care more about something popping up when she hits a button than what the cartoon is saying to her, atleast for now. Another plus to the v.smile baby is that the activity panel is a toy on its own and it offers sign language. Hope this helps anyone else that was in the same situation as us. Keep in mind that we did not buy any games for the systems since we were just testing them out so this review is based on the sample games that come with the systems. Also this review is based on what my huband and i noticed when we played with it, its a gift for our daughter so she has not yet played with it so i cant tell you how she responded to either of these toys. End result, the little leaps is getting returned and the V.smile is getting wrapped for her birthday.

The setup was only about 2 minutes once I got it out of the box. This includes inserting the batteries that it came with. There is actually only one plug that is pretty straight forward, it's labeled video and audio. Plug it right into the T.V. If your T.V. has a video and audio outlet in front or back, then you will be able to plug it in.

I found the graphics on this game to be cheap for the price I paid for it. I only used the demo it came with, other games may be better. The operation of the game was simple and fun to play with. My son loved to hit the big buttons and had fun watching the game do things.

The console has a huge 'ON' button that lights up right in reach of little hands, so my son kept hitting it over and over and over...the cord it way too short too so I couldn't even move the console out of reach.

Pros:

Came with batteries

Big buttons are great to press

Every time a button is pressed something on the screen changes

Fun colors and cute songs

Cons:

Graphics aren't good for $40 paid

Each additional game is $15-$20 so it's expensive

Huge ON button that lights up on console that my son kept hitting

Very very short cord so not many options on where to put the console

This toy should either come with a full version game or be $25 tops with demo game.

Prince Lionheart Wheely Bug

Prince Lionheart Wheely Bug, Ladybug, SmallI'm reviewing this just for those of you who might be confused by the large vs. small models. My 2 year old son is pretty small for his age maybe 25 pounds, maybe 34 inches. He's tiny. So when I saw that the "large" wheely bug is supposedly for 3 years old and up I figured my tiny guy would certainly need the small. Still, I hated to buy the wrong size and then have to ship it back. So I found a store in town that offers wheely bugs and went there to physically have my son try them out. Am I glad I did! The small is so tiny that I cannot imagine it being appropriate for any child. If your child is so small as to need the small version, chances are he or she should not be riding it. Remember, these things do not have seat belts or other safety features. It's a fast-moving ride-on, on chair casters. The small model looks suitable for a stuffed doll, perhaps. My son fits on the large version with no problem. His feet hit the floor flat. He can climb on and off with no difficulty. Also, be aware that this really only rolls well on hardwood floors or other smooth, flat surfaces. It's tough to roll on carpet of any sort even area rugs. Would work well on a smooth, flat driveway or in an unfinished basement. So please do not hesitate to purchase the large model, unless your child is very young or very, very tiny (maybe shouldn't be on this toy, in that case), and do be sure you have someplace where your child can have fun riding it.

After reviewing the dozens of suggestions that I purchase large to avoid tears and short lived use of the bug, I feel that I should set the story straight for parents looking for the right size "ride on" toy for their child. My daughter received this bug when she was 17 months old and in the 90th percentile for height. I believed that, surely, my daughter could ride with ease after the other parents had described how unreasonably tiny the small was. Unfortunately, her feet do not rest flat on the floor and she is unable to ride the bug effectively. Since her feet do not set flat and the handle bar is fairly low, she simply scoots off the back of the bug and pushes it through the house.

She does LOVE the Wheely Bug, as do I, but I did want to clear up any confusion. The large sized bug should be purchased for 3+ year old children and the small sized bug for younger toddlers to make riding the toy possible. Now, there might be exceptions and my daughter is by no means a risk taker or dare devil, but if you would like to see your younger toddler ride the bug...I would opt for a small. Sure, it looks small, but consider that they must straddle the plump little bug and have their tiny feet flat on the floor to really maneuver the adorable thing. If your child really prefers to push toys, the large is the way to go and perhaps he/she will ride it once they are older. I am glad that I went with the large for this reason.

Great toy that really is very attractive to young children. I am very happy with my purchase, but do feel the bug is slightly over priced when considering its simplicity...no flashing lights, sounds, motor. All in all, the bug is incomparable to other push toys, ride-on toys, and any other toys in general. This bug will be a winner in your home, guaranteed.

We got this for my daughter's first birthday, and it has been her favorite present. She is a very active child, and loves pushing it around the living room. She is a little small to ride on it yet (her legs don't touch the floor solidly enough), but she seems very content to push it every which way. She loves that it will go any direction she wants without having to use a steering wheel (a result of the castor type wheels). She is also fascinated by the antennae, which bounce around when she bops them. It is also very durable, and the leather covering is well stitched and very strong. I'm sure this toy will last for a long time. It's also nice that it seems to work on just about every surface we've tried (carpet, hard wood floors, deck and reed outdoor carpet). **Update** 4/3/2010 Our "bug" is now 3 years old and continues to be a favorite toy for both my daughter and her friends. She can still ride it (at almost 4 years old), and it still looks brand new. This is a really excellent poduct.

This is a great toy! I'm a pediatric occupational therapist and love to find great toys that allow kids to develop their motor skills. I recommend it all the time!

My nearly 18 month old just got this toy and she likes it quite a bit. She doesn't love it (yet) because she hasn't yet gotten the hang of how to make it "go" while she is sitting on it. But she will figure it out eventually. Meanwhile, Dad and Mom push her around, and she thinks it's great. The omni-directional capability is terrific, so much better than toys that only go forward and back.

We bought the large size in spite of the age recommendation (3-5 yrs,) and it's a good thing we did. Our daughter is tall for her age, but not abnormally so, and she can sit astride this bug with both feet on the ground. If it was any smaller she would outgrow it almost immediately.

This is a cute, fun toy, but wait to get it for your child until after he/she has been walking for 3 months or so. A child needs to possess a certain amount of vertical stability before attempting to play with this toy as it will scoot away from her at the lightest touch.

UPDATE:

4 yrs later (Sept 2011) we still have our orig Wheely Bug, & it is still used regularly by my daughter, now 5 1/2, & my son who just turned 3. It's in great shape: the striped cover has no tears or significant marks/stains. The blond wood that constitutes the base is a bit dinged up, but not missing any chunks. And one of the antennae is wonky, (it sort of lays down pointing forward,) but it's still firmly attached, and now gives our bee a little character. Most importantly it still glides smooth & fast over the floor; and unlike the chucky plastic FP ride-on trucks & cars, it corners like it's on rails. ;)
