Melissa & Doug: Monkey Face Rattle

Melissa & Doug: Monkey Face RattleThis is a good quality wooden toy. It's not a loud rattle. The eyes move around, which creates the soft wooden clicking sound of a rattle. It's large enough for a young child to grasp easily (I can fit four fingers through the monkey's mouth to grasp it), and the color is bright enough to capture a baby's attention. It's also durable enough to withstand rough use. Very cute, and gently entertaining.

I had my doubts about ANY rattle that was made of wood, let alone a painted one. We have this and the fish rattle by Melissa & Doug; both have cracked and peeled with even the most minimal exposure to moisture (drooling and teething tend to be pretty wet experiences). Also, all toys, especially those which go straight into the mouth (which is most of them) have to be washed a LOT. Another issue is that this is really going to hurt when babies smack themselves in the head with it, and they probably will, depending upon the age of the child.

Both rattles look terrible, with chipped, fading paint. They were cute (at first) and appealing, on the plus side. I would not recommend these, or give them as gifts, to anyone with an infant. They seem to be more decorative than functional. We have always had Melissa & Doug products and really enjoy them, but will probably steer clear of their baby items.

i was initially disappointed in this rattle as it doesn't really "rattle". it was not of much interest/use when my son was little. as he got older and could grasp, he liked to bang it. all this banging has scuffed the monkey and some of the paint has started to chip off (and onto the floor/wall). it has now found itself on the shelf and will be pulled out again when he doesn't put everything in his mouth. i am afraid of him getting a splinter in his mouth.

I loved this rattle the minute I saw it. It's made very well & safe for baby as are all of the toys from the Melissa & Doug line. My 7 month old loves to stare at the colorful monkey and he laughs when the monkey's eyes move around. It's just a simple yet adorable rattle with the cutest monkey face you've ever seen. My son loves it and so does anyone else who sees it & asks me where I got it.

green sprouts Organic Blankie Cool Soothing Teether

green sprouts Organic Blankie Cool Soothing Teether-RoseOur daughter began teething early (before four months); however, since she is so young, she has a hard time holding a teething ring. This teether was just what the doctor ordered. The fabric is easy for her to grip and manipulate into her mouth. She loves to chew on the frozen knots. If you just wet the knots and toss it in the freezer, the rest of the cloth isn't too cold to hold (unlike those other totally frozen rings). Since she is so young, she has a harder time holding the ring. I'm sure she will enjoy it too though when she can hold it better.

While I have ordered a lot from Amazon and have benefited from reading reviews, I must admit, I have not written one until know. I am reviewing this product because I just ordered a 2nd one of these teethers! I want to be able to always have one handy when one is in the wash or just MIA. I've had one (the bamboo) for over a month and my now 6.5 month old daughter continues to dig it enough to prompt me to get a second. I've washed it several times and it still looks great. She loves to teeth on the little knots as well as the ring and it is easy to grip and maneuver. I often take it with me in the stroller or when I have her in the Ergo because she likes to grip things (especially cloth) and this works perfectly. The fact that it is organic makes me feel so much better about all the time she spends happily sucking on the fabric.

My son is four months old and teething. He really likes this teether blankie, it's small so it's easy for him to hang onto it. I chill the ring in the refrigerator before giving it to him, but he chews on the entire blankie. I like that it doesn't contain any harmful toxins.

With trying to be fair that this item is what it is...I still have to give only 3 stars. This is very thin and not the material you would think! I was thinking thicker cotton with a bit of nubble to it...but not! The ring in the middle is super smooth with no texture to teeth on. My grandson whom just turned 6 mo just hates this thing.

Love that is is Organic and free of toxins...and again it is what it is so can't blame the concept. Just too thin, bad fabric and smooth ring.

I bought this for my daughter because I noticed she preferred to chew on blankets instead of all the teething toys. She likes to munch on the knots and sometimes the ring. It's small enough to take everywhere and because of the ring, I can attach it to her stroller or high chair.

Pacifier Chain Lollipop from Haba

Pacifier Chain Lollipop from HabaI cannot tell you how much we love the HABA pacifier clips. We had tried many of the fabric ones before we found the HABA wooden ones. They would get yucky and grungy quick because the baby would both suck on his pacifier, and would then chew on the fabric pacifier clip. YUCK. Then came the day when we saw a wooden one. Was it more expensive? Yes. Is it totally worth it? YES.

The wooden clip doesn't get dirty and yucky the way a fabric one does our son has chewed on his while teething and it came through that just fine, no broken beads, no chipped paint . They clip on to clothes so easily!

Plus, we get a ton of compliments on these because they are different and work well. I highly recommend them!

The only reason this only gets 4 stars is because the actual string is a little short. It works, but keeps falling out. I am hoping it will function better when he is a little older and his sucking ability is better. Now it seems like the string just is too heavy and pulls the binky out of his mouth. It is cute though!

Fisher-Price Discover 'n Grow Light up & Go Turtle Soother

Fisher-Price Discover 'n Grow Light up & Go Turtle SootherMy son sleeps in a pack and play in our room. I really wanted to find something that he could manipulate and play with when he wakes at night like the Fisher-Price Rainforest Waterfall Peek-a-Boo Soother that our other son uses in his crib. It's been difficult to find things that will clip onto a pack and play, but I found this item at our local big baby store and bought it.

The Light & Go works by pressing the large turtle shell (really good for small hands). You press it once and it lights up, press it again and it plays music, press it again and it plays another song; 1. Brahms Lullably, 2. Hush, Little Baby, 3. Twinkle, Twinkle, and 4. Beautiful Dreamer... all played very slowly to help keep your baby calm and sleepy. On the side of the turtle is the on/off volume adjustment; two volumes loud and louder, wish they'd makes these things with a rolling volume adjustment so you can have a little more control over the sound. These soothers sound great during the day when there's other noise, but in the dead night of a quiet room, they are impossibly loud even at their lowest setting. That being said, you could place tape over the sound holes to make it quieter. The night light feature is actually pretty good, not glaringly bright, but soft yellow and soothing.

The clip on design is really a great idea! It uses a tension slider that pulls out from the turtle's side and clips onto the side of the pack and play. The only problem we encountered is our son sleeps using the bassinet attachment, so with the attachment the tension clip doesn't clip very well because it's too wide. He won't be sleeping in the bassinet much longer, which means we could use the clip, but then it will be too high for him to reach, and when he is able to stand and reach it he'll probably want to take it off and toss it (our first son was precocious that way). So I'm so-so on the clip design; would have been better if the slider came out a little further to be more adaptable.

The Light & Go Soother can sit on a table or clip to the pack and pay, not bad for using it as a travel item. All in all, I can't say I'm really crazy about this thing and will probably return it, mostly because it doesn't quiet meet my needs. I feel like it should have allowed baby to press the shell and turn it off, but as it is baby has to listen to it for 15 minutes before it shuts off. If baby has it on the light option (which they can only do if they press it once, otherwise it will only cycle through song selections) then the light will go off after 5 minutes.

I purchased this travel light for our holidays. We have a fisher price rain forest muscial mobile at home and my daughter falls asleep every night looking at the light.

I was concerned that she would struggle to fall alseep without the light while on holidays, however I discovered a few nights before our trip that the muscial function was probably more important than the light.

I had never previously used the music for sleeping, as I felt it was too loud. However, she seemed to really calm down with the music, even though I found it a bit tinny.

I had hoped to put the travel light in the cot with her, but it was too big. I instead placed it next to the travel cot and she could see the light through the cot fabric and found the music soothing (even if I didn't). Although I do think the light goes off a little too quickly though.

Anyway, all in all the product was a success and I am even using the music funtion now that we are home.

Buy Fisher-Price Discover 'n Grow Light up & Go Turtle Soother Now

I have being using this for 3 weeks with ourGraco Travel Lite Crib with Bassinet, Ally and have been happy with it so far. We needed some type of soother for our preemie, who is up every 1-3 hrs around the clock, but most crib soother do not work on the pack and plays. I was excited to see this product, especially for the price.

The clip is a bit tight with the bassinet feature if placed on the long side of the pack and play wall, but I find it works perfectly if clipped to the short side of the bassinet liner.

The bassinet is within arms reach of our bed. I can push the light to check on our daughter without turning on the much brighter side table light to check on her and then turn on the music if needed. The music is soothing and she will often fall back asleep for another hour. Always a plus with a newborn!

The first push of the button gives light for 5 minutes, a second push turns on the music for 15 and a long 3rd push turns off the whole thing. The batteries it came with last us about 3 weeks. I have read on other site reviews that it does go through batteries fast, but don't most baby requiring devices!

This soother is fairly basic and may not entertain older babies, but for infants who you just want to go back to sleep I think it's great! I also like that is is easy to take on and off the bassinet and slide into the diaper bag for travel and visits.

Sassy Gift Set, 3+ Months, Colors may vary

Sassy Gift Set, 3+ Months, Colors may varyMy 4 month old loves the little butterfly! The other toys don't really interest her as much but thats not to say that they aren't good quality toys. But I think its a great buy! It helped me alot in trying to get her to reach and grab on to objects. And if u put the butterfly in the freezer (the wings have liquid in them) it is great as a first teething toy! My daughter doesnt have teeth yet but she loves to put stuff in her mouth and there is a wonderful texture difference between the top and bottom wings. I have no regrets about buying this, it was a great price for quality products! The only thing I would change is that the little TV remote toy has three sets of matching buttons, and each of the matching buttons make the same sound. So instead of getting 8 different sounds you only get 5. And since the sounds are really short I think it would have been nice to get more sounds to try to catch a babys interest. But had I known the sounds it wouldn't have been a deal breaker.

My 5 month old son loves the piano and butterfly teether. The soft photo album is perfect to allow him to look at family pictures without worrying about damaging the album or it hurting him. My son hasn't really played with the remote control. I think he will enjoy it when he gets a little older.

I bought this set for my daughter. She is 7 months old now and has been playing with this set for the past 4 months. Her favorite pieces are the piano which plays music and lights up when you hit the keys and the photo album. I put 6 pictures in the photo album of our whole family and it's a great church toy. The butterfly can be put in the fridge as a teething toy with it's gel filled wings and the remote control makes noises but does not light up. She plays with all the toys and they are still in great shape. Very happy with the quality of this purchase and that these toys have kept her interest so long.

We got this set for our daughters 1st Christmas. I knew at 2-1/2 months, I knew they would be toys she grew into. The book was an immediate favorite.

The other toys are a little heavy & awkward.

At 5mo she started showing an interest in the butterfly & piano. The little remote is too big & the buttons need a force her little fingers can't muster.

I suspect in another month (maybe even another week) she'll be swinging these other toys around with a smile on her face!

Fisher Price: Roll-Along Pals Turtle

Fisher Price: Roll-Along Pals TurtleMy son is hard to buy toys for because his favorite objects are every day items, card board boxes, books and magazines, kitchen itemsthings that "adults" use. Which makes since for any baby because they need to learn about the world around them. I believe that this toy would be great for a more mellow baby that sits still long enough to explore the buttons and is not interested in how things mechanicly work (hinges, springs, sliding cabinets, turning over rugs). Cute toy but my boy doesn't have the patience for more than 30 seconds with it. I did give it high marks for durability as it has been dropped from the pack-n-play onto the floor for a variety of physics tests he likes to do.

I bought this toy for my 8 month old. He likes the music and to push it along with him when he crawls. The lights and music keep his attention. It seems fairly durable and rolls easily.

Buy Fisher Price: Roll-Along Pals Turtle Now

My daughter received both this and the snail exactly like this as gifts at approx 14 months of age. She likes to push cars. Initially she liked these but now they are boring to her. The bottons don't really do much and the same song plays over and over again, and she toys that do a lot more/play a wider variety of melodies, (which are actually less expensive) that have kept her attention. Both the turtle and the snail have been dropped and thrown and are still in great condition so I feel they are pretty durable.

When you actually see it for the first time puts you off with its garish colour. My kid plays with it for a while but quickly loses interest; though that's the case with most of her toys.

Potty Time Reminder Watch for Kids

Potty Time Reminder Watch for Kids PINKThis watch definitely helped my son and I remember to keep trying to go potty and reduced the number accidents. He really like the design and the songs and kept him engaged in potty training. But who designs a toddler watch for potty time that is not water resistant what-so-ever?! It stopped working after two weeks and I opened it to change the batteries and it had all rusted out just from my son washing his hands! So unless your children don't wash their hands after potty, then it's bound to get a little wet. So if your like the product, you'll have to buy two or three to get through potty training. Not sure if it's worth it at $10 bucks a pop, but maybe for some. It's helping my son for now, so I bit the bullet and gave him the extra I bought for gifts.

I bought this watch for my, "almost three" year old. She was thrilled with it and I thought it was a great little watch and a wonderful idea. The problem is that it only lasted for one day of normal wear indoors and was not handled roughly at all. The lettering on the front turned into a big purple smudge after about an hour and then the window began looking like it had sticky goo on it. I tried to wipe it off and then realized that it was the plastic itself that was this way. It was getting all scratched up and gummy looking. After one day you can not see the numbers behind the window so that you can set the timer. I wrote to the company and never received a reply. I feel that this product is not worth a dime and the company does not back it up. DON"T BUY THIS POTTY WATCH unless you don't mind flushing your money down the toilet.

Buy Potty Time Reminder Watch for Kids Now

The first one worked nicely for about 2 weeks. Then the battery died. Unfortunately we had the old version. It was glued together. IE you can not change the battery. We contacted customer support @ Potty Time inc. They sent us a new watch free of charge. Only it was defective. The screen is angled and only displays when you hit the button.

A little disappointed I forced open the first one only to find that it was all rusted out from water via hand washing. This is a great idea that is red flagged by manufacturing defects. Great customer support only goes so far. Its like the newest designed Xbox 360 still has a 50% failure rating. Who wants to buy that?

If you cant make it water resistant put a Velcro strap on it. Its not easy putting it on or taking it off.

If you get one that works take it off to wash their hands.

This is a great concept in the world of potty training. It plays a cute song to remind your child or you to "try" on steady intervals. I set it for 30 minute and remind on half hour and ask him to try on the hour. Potty training took a week... My 2 year old would now wear the watch himself, but I put it on my wrist just fine so I'd hear it while doing laundry or whatever around the house!

The batteries were dead when we received the watch. Had to pay almost as much as I paid for the watch just to get new batteries. Then those batteries died within a week. And I was mindful to turn it off when it wasn't being used. When the batteries work, it works well. Maybe I got a faulty watch, but it burns through the batteries so fast I quit using it.

Kidz Delight Magic Mirror Laptop, White/Blue

Kidz Delight Magic Mirror Laptop, White/BlueI personally don't see much appeal in this toy, but my kids like it. First of all, it does not look like a laptop at all. It is smaller than it appears in the picture, with the blue "lid" that closes measuring only about 4 inches in diameterjust a little bigger than the palm of my hand. Once it closes, it kind of locks into place, so my one-year-old can't quite pull it open by herself, but my almost three-year-old can.

I bought this for my youngest's first birthday, looking for a toy that has a lot of colorful buttons that would cause fun music and lights. For that purpose, it's just right. My one-year-old pushes one of the many buttons and it lights up, plays music, or says a phrase. My almost three-year-old, though, got a little frustrated with it at first. He saw the buttons in a row, reading 1, 2, 3, and 4, and then another row with A, B, C, and D. So he goes to push them in order, thinking it will say them out loud. Actually, it said, "A, B, Red, Star," since the "C" button also is a red square, and the "D" button is a yellow star. So basically it won't ever say all four colors, or all four shapes, or all four letters in a row, but will randomly say one of the three. I just pushed one button five times, and it said, "C, Red, C, Square, C." I'm not saying that's a bad thing necessarily, because my older child figured out pretty quickly that if he pushes the button enough times, it will say what he wants it to say. I just think it's kind of random and I'm not sure it will really teach my children anything. It is also a bit loud for my taste, and there is no option to turn down the volume.

The phrases it says out loud (also pretty randomly) are: Hello! I love you! Peek-a-boo! (Some kind of kissing noise), and You are my friend! It also has an elephant, sheep, frogs, and birdsall with the associated animal sound. The voices and sounds are pretty automated-sounding, but children should be able to understand them just fine. The music it plays is pleasant enough, but no tunes anyone would recognize.

So, overall, it's fine for young children to be entertained by lights and noises. Older children will probably not benefit from it very much, if at all.

my 15 month old granddaughter was born with cerebral palsy and her motor skills are limited but she enjoys mirrors of all kinds and my husband and i were looking for a teaching toy that had mirrors and this magic mirror was exactly what we were looking for. she loves her magic mirror and spends a great deal of her awake time in front of this toy. she reaches for the mirror and follows the pictures on the mirror which these are wonderful signs of her ability to learn because she was not doing these things with such intensity prior to getting this for christmas. so thank you very much for providing children with wonderful, educational toy.

I was looking for a "lap top" type of toy like many other parents on here since my little one loves my lap top. He's obviously smart enough to know the difference, but even so this toy caught his attention for a while. It's small and the lid does snap shut fast catching little fingers, but all in all its a decent toy. Hes amazed, briefly, with the light up pictures in the mirror. I've only encountered one problem with the toy, sometimes when the buttons are pushed down they dont always play a song or make a sound, not sure if its just a defect in my particular toy or in general, but for the price it was worth it just to get a few mins of solo play time.

Dantoy Stacking Tug Boat

Dantoy Stacking Tug Boat Color: BlueI wanted a nice plastic boat for my son. Most bath toys trap water and I was excited to purchase a toy that would easily drain. But it hardly floats. When he gives one of his toys a ride in the boat, it's at the bottom of the tub. Oh well. I wouldn't care if I paid like 5 dollars for it, but I think I overpaid for what I got.

Earlyears Pound n' Play

Earlyears Pound n' PlayI got this for my son for his first birthday. I looked at several ball pounders, and decided on this one based on the recommendations on this and the others. This one is simple enough for a one year old to be successful pounding the balls through the holes (and he doesn't have to match the colored ball to the colored slot). He seems to really enjoy this toy, and appears to understand the concept of placing the ball in the slot and hammering it through. I have no complaints about this toy, and would easily recommend it for a young toddler. (Just watch out for the occasional hammering on you or your pets.)

This toy is straightforward and fun for a one year old. Teaches hand eye coordination and the hammer and balls are also fun on their own. Your child does not need to color match for the toy to work. Any of the balls can go through any of the holes.

Buy Earlyears Pound n' Play Now

While keeping all four balls with the toy has proved a little squirrelly,my 13-month old loves this toy and it holds his focus much better than many other far more expensive items. It's easy to keep clean with a wipe down and it's versatile in that my son plays with it in different ways (balls through holes with hand, using the hammer, rolling the balls across the wood floors and fishing them out of the plastic box or out of anything else he can drop them in. An excellent choice for a baby with rudimentary motor skills and a passion for plastic hammers!

We purchased this product for my son's first birthday. It is a decent toy, although he received a better toy that essentially does the same thing. The balls on this toy are a little hard for my son to push through the holes at the top. He still does enjoy playing with it, but I would recommend the Fisher-Price Sit Up & Pound Arcade over this toy. The balls are much easier for a one year old to push through the holes and it has fun music each time the balls drop.

Want Earlyears Pound n' Play Discount?

We bought this toy for our nine-month-old who likes to beat on things. For that it's super. She does have to hit the balls pretty hard to get them to go through the holes and she isn't so much interested in that yet, but she'll grow into it. I would say to be careful, however, because she has gotten her hand stuck in the hole trying to pull a ball out. She started to whimper and I looked down at her to find that she had shoved her hand into the the hole to pull out a ball and, because she wouldn't let go of the ball, she couldn't get her hand out. The thing is like a raccoon trap! Other than that, however, it's quite good. I love that it's entirely kid-powered with no batteries or obnoxious noises.

Lamaze Early Development Toy, Captain Calamari

Lamaze Early Development Toy, Captain CalamariThis little stuffed cephalopod has always entertained my baby daughter since we got him months ago.

The legs are lovely to chew on, the hat makes nice crinkly noises when clinched in teeny fists, and the secret mirror between his teNtacles (careful spelling that) is always a happy surprise while slobbering on the plastic teething rings.

The Captain is bigger than I expected, making him actually cuddly, which is great.

The noises he emits when being played with are never annoying, which is much appreciated.

He can entertain both sexes without lacking personality, unlike some gender-neutral toys...I am looking at you Mr. Plain Yellow Duck.

I tip my hat to the Captain for allowing me to wash the dishes for a FULL 20 minutes to the sounds of a delighted and entertained baby.

I have several of the Lamaze Play and Grow toys. This is one of the better ones. My baby got this around 4.5 months and is now 6.5 months. The tentacles are nice for chewing on. He really likes the felt feather in the hat. The rings are probably his favorite part of this toy because they are easy to hold and he can chew on them. He's getting better at grabbing the rattle ball. The mirror does nothing for him, surprisingly. Over all, the toy is very cute and kinda reminds me of Captain Jack Sparrow which makes a lot of adults that see it like it as well.

As far as comparing it to the other Lamaze Play in Grow Toys we have, I'd probably rank them in this order:

1. Jacques the Peacock (excellent toy and perfect length to hang off the side of my diaper bag, I highly recommend)

2. Freddie the Firefly (very good length to hang off the stroller visor)

3. Captain Calamari

4. Tina the Tiger

5. Logan the Lion

It is very sharp and could easily break skin so please be aware. It sticks out on the part where it is tied. Please check yours and make sure it is fine before giving it to your baby.

This toy is super cute and actually a bit larger than I thought it would be. It holds my sons interest for a while. He loves the two rings and the mirror on the bottom of it. The ball attached makes a rattle noise which is cool. I love how I can hook this to my sons stroller with no problem. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

This little toy is adorable and has a great concept, however; my son was never really interested in it so for me it was a waste. that doesn't discredit the quality though.

English Wooden Alphabet Blocks

English Wooden Alphabet BlocksAny child should have a starter set of wooden blocks. It provides a great alternative to all of the plastic toys, and these are the nicest I have seen in a while. The colors are fun and the decoration is great. They also come in other languages and characters.

Perfect for the beginning stacker, they are durable and we will use them for years to come. The one downside is the chewability....just watch out for teething.

I got these for my 2 yr old twin grandsons and they built lots of things with them and hauled them around in their trucks.

Popeye Child Costume

Popeye the Sailor Man Child CostumeI purchased this for my 4 year old for Halloween and was disappointed that every piece was wrong in size. The hat wouldn't even fit an infant, the pants seemed like they were for an 8 year old and the arms fit an adult. This would have been soooo cute if it was true to size :(

My son loved this costume. It fit perfect even though I'm somewhat skeptical about ordering clothing and costumes online and not in a store. Would definitely recommend for anyone who's child wants to be Popeye for Halloween.

My son loved this costume, he was the hit of the party. Now, he wears it just to play around the house, we got our money worth and more.

This is an inexpensive option for some Halloween fun. My 8 yr old wore it during a holiday 5k and it held up just fine. It made it thru the run and we won 1st place in the costume division. Overall very happy

Dream On Me 2 in 1 Baby Tunes Musical Activity Walker and Rocker

Dream On Me 2 in 1 Baby Tunes Musical Activity Walker and Rocker, PinkThe baby seat worn out in less than a month. Without the seat, the item is useless. I am not sure if they have a replacement seat. However, our baby enjoyed it when she was on it. The seat cover just took all its good value off.

My baby loves the car in the middle because of the music and lights. overall it is a good walker I just wish that it could be let down like the less expensive walkers for easier storage. And I'm not sure if my baby is just tall or the walker wasn't constructed properly because no matter what level i put the walker on her feet always drag instead of allowing her to place her feet to walk. I guess what I'm trying to say is, my baby can remain seated and just move her legs instead of having to stand when she want to walk (almost like moving around in a computer chair.)

Like it but dont think it is completely worth the price.

Purchased this one three weeks ago and my six months old baby (85% percentile for weight 75% for height) is still having a hard time moving in it. The bells and whistles on the walker are boring (and we actually removed batteries from the little car because the noises it made were very annoying) the baby is not impressed at all. He is able to move backwards a little bit in this walker and is having a really hard time moving forward. Too bad we threw away the packaging right away, I would've returned it.

I bought this because my baby had really enjoyed playing in a baby walker at our friends place. I can't find that model anymore. He was scooting around the floor in that one no problem.

Schwinn Easy Steer Tricycle, Red/White

Schwinn Easy Steer Tricycle, Red/WhiteWe bought this for my son's 3rd birthday. He has been too small for most trikes we have tried, but since this one has an adjustable seat he can reach the pedals with no problem. It's great! My husband has a bad back so the steering handle on this is a lifesaver. Every morning as soon as Quentin wakes up, he is asking if he can ride his bike. This is great exercise for his legs and will prepare him when he is big enough to ride his bike with training wheels. After two weeks, my son understands the concept of pedaling and steering at the same time. Quentin usually loads up both buckets with his toys and I put my house keys and cell phone in the little bag that is attached to the back of the seat when we take our walks. My 18 month old daughter loves to ride on it and he pushes her around, so the seatbelt comes in handy. This was so easy to assemble. The handle is easily removed, but for now we keep it in place just in case he needs a little extra help or his legs get tired. My only complaint is that the tires aren't pneumatic tires, they are plastic. I really did a lot of research before buying the Schwinn. I love the Radio Flyer name brand, but was leery after reading all the reviews. I am so happy with the choice I made.

Putting it together was fairly easy. The foot rest is great as my 18 month old cannot reach the pedals yet. However, we were not able to pivot the footrest to forward or retracted position. The footrest release doesn't seem to work. We had to unscrew the plastic caps and get the footrest to the forward down position and put the screws back. The seat belt buckle is a little flimsy. Not sure if that would last long. Apart from the footrest release and the seat belt buckle, everything else about this trike is great and of good quality. Walmart sells it for $59 and that's the best deal that I have found for this trike.

I was looking for a tricycle for my kid and wanted something made out of metal, not plastic. I've run across Schwinn and loved the design. It was easy to put it all togeter too, took about 15 min. It's very sturdy and durable which offers many years of use a big plus. Two storage caddies is a great idea, as I always have something in my hands and those are perfect to put your keys and phone so you can steer the trike without juggling stuff in your hands. The parent steering device is very sensitive and handy, it takes just a little turn for the trike to respond. And it's very handy for a kid who is just learning, so you don't have to bend over and walk along holding the child's handles. (That would give you back issues). Another good word to say is about the wheels, they are rubber, so they don't skid on a concrete, dry or wet. Safety seat belt is a great thinking too. Very good quality product.

I am so pleased with this tricycle. As another reviewer wrote -it's easier to steer than a stroller. And it's a great transition for when the child still needs someone to push while providing the opportunity to learn how to coordinate steering and pedaling or, in our case, to practice steering until he can reach the pedals. I purchased it for my 2 1/2 year old nephew. Since he still can't quite reach the pedals the footrest bar is perfect -indispensible, really. The only difficulty I had putting the trike together was tightening the handlebars enough to control the steering. I thought it was defective (as other reviewers noted) until my neighbor came over with his socket wrench and did the job. The trike has a basket on the front to carry sippy cups, a pouch behind the seat for adults to put keys, camera, etc. and a bucket in the back to carry all sorts of treasures. It tips like a dump truck which my nephew really enjoys! It also has a seat belt which came in handy when my nephew decided to start standing up on the footrest. On top of all the great features, it's truly a sharp looking, attractive trike. I'd buy it again, and I'd highly recommend it!

The company is great with their customer service!! I've contacted them a couple times -once to recommend they have some kind of cover or cap over the screws on the seat (which they said was a great idea and would forward my suggestion). The other time was because a nut on the frame apparently fell off during use -they're sending me additional bolts and nuts. Also, they clarified how to extend and retract the foot rest -very easy to do once you know how!

We've purchased this tricycle for our son's 2nd birthday and he loved it. It is a sturdy construction and the parent handle works great, easy to steer too. It's a well-known reliable brand, so I expect it to last till he is ready to advance to a bigger bike. I recommend it.

Three Little Pigs Play Set

Three Little Pigs Play SetMy grandson loves it and plays with it frequently. The quality is excellent as are all of the Melissa and Doug things I have purchased.

I sent this item that was supposed to include the pigs, the drill set, & the keys to two out of town nephews. Only the pigs came came & after waiting nearly two weeks, got a note from manaufacturer saying, "Too bad, the order is complete."

The kids like the pigs, I guess, but I am steamed I ordered three things & got one.

I notice that the picture that shows the three items has changed but the description has not.My original email confirmation shows three items. Here is teh description, in case it gets changed:

"Even the littlest builder needs the proper tools. Here is a handy plush toolbox with a "ruler" handle. This 9-piece set includes a hammer, screwdriver, saw, nails, screws and blocks, AND a drill that vibrates. Constructed of high quality fabrics and Phthalate-free plastic, this durable set will provide hours of spilling, filling and building fun. This Set Includes * Melissa and Doug 3038 Toolbox Fill and Spill * Melissa and Doug 3056 Three Little Pigs Play Set * Learning Curve Y2049A3 First Keys Teether."

The customer service at Store123 was nice, but so far the resolution is not as I need it to be!
